I stayed at the Renaissance Orlando Resort at SeaWorld with my girlfriend in April 2005. The reason I stayed at this hotel is I found a $99 per night rate so I rolled the dice and hoped for the best. The hotel is for business travelers. The pool area was full of biz types with their laptops. If you are looking for a vacation that caters to 25 - 35 yr old adults, this hotel is not for you. The room was clean but nothing fancy, the bath tub drain didn't work, they charge hotel guests $6 a day to park, customer service was fair, the hotel restraunts are below average and over priced, the pool heater was set too high ( I was actually sweating in the pool water and the temp outside all week was 85 degrees. Why the heater???), the hotel decor on the outside is outdated, the koi pond in the atrium lobby had a strong fish odor, the birds in the atrium bird cage sounded like roosters during the early morning hours. If you have a family and kids, I recommend staying at another marriott property or one of the many other properties in the area. Shop around or roll the dice.

Whilst fine for business users ,not really geared to holidaymakers, often felt quite uncomfortable in leisurewear surrounded by men in suits with mobiles stuck to their ears all around pool area.Meals in hotel pricey. Half of rooms face inwards over atrium area thus no outside veiw or fresh air. Not really for families on vacation.

This place was fantastic! My wife and kids loved it. The pool was great, the food was fantastic and the room was neat and very clean. You can't ask any more from a hotel. Great location, the staff was friendly and all of us felt like we were welcome. We will be back.

We stayed a week (4-9-05 though 4-16-05) and after reading some negitive reviews i was a little worried about how it would turn out. It is aging, but very well keep, everything was very clean, and the staff was outstanding. The large heated pool area is fantastic, the swimming is wonderful! all the pictures don't do it justice, it is a very nice hotel. The food is outstanding, the breakfast buffet is first rate!

We used AAA and got a room with a king size bed with an outside balcony over looking Sea World for $159 that included 2 breakfast baffets.
They do charge to park for the public because people were using their parking lot to go to Sea World, but the parking is free with your room rate if you use your room key to open the gate! We used the room key to park the rental car all week, and were not charged.

The location is exellent, it's in the middle of everything, but yet is out of the main traffic ways. It's only three blocks from International Drive, and four blocks from Interstate 4. We made it to all the Disney parks in 15 minutes to the southwest, Universal Studios parks in 10 minutes to the northeast, and walked across the street to Sea World.
We are planning on making this hotel our place to stay every year!

Just returned from a 2 night stay with which we were extremely pleased. I am beginning to wonder if we stayed at the same hotel as the individuals who had many negative comments to share. We received an excellent rate ($98) for a king bed oversized room which included breakfast coupon for one each day ($16 value). Check in was effortless and as Marriott rewards members we got to enjoy the club lounge which included snacks, cocktails, etc. It was certainly a nice touch. The room was extremely clean. The location was perfect. Will definitely return.
