“Great Hotel”
Reviewed March 19, 2014

This hotel is everything!! I stayed with my husband, 15 year old and 2yr old twins. We had a wonderful stay. The staff and service was great. The hotel itself is very nice, clean and ideally located and every room overlooks the beautiful atrium (love)! with the sushi restaurant right in the middle. The lobby/atrium is also a nice place to lounge with feel of island cabanas. my kids loved playing in the lobby with the coin fountain. The starbucks and gym is a plus for the lobby, oh and I can't forget the mini water park for all ages. while staying at this hotel we were also given sea world "fast passes"because we purchased our tickets at the hotel, I also liked the fact that we were able to walk right across the street to sea world even tho there is a free shuttle. on the down side I hate the fact that the wifi was not free in the the rooms only in the lobby and only for about an hour at a time which was inconvenient and it's paid parking other than that I think it's a wonderful family hotel and I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Room Tip: If you have toddlers I don't suggest that you stay on higher floors as the rails are pretty wide...

I've stayed here probably 4 or 5 times for both business and pleasure. It's a very nice hotel which is well located close to I-4 and 528. It's laid out like an Embassy Suites. There's a great pool area and its right across the street from SeaWorld but great for business travelers as well. The rooms are large and clean. The Starbucks is a big plus, although the staff always looks like their dog just died. If you are staying anywhere in the area the Starbucks is easy to get in and out of, just park on the curb when you see it and run in through their separate exterior door. Staff is very good as well. If I can get a good rate this is usually my go-to for business travel in Orlando.

Room Tip: If you want a very quiet room do not stay on the front of the hotel since it faces SeaWorld. I usua...

Loved everything about this hotel. The rooms are clean and large. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was always friendly and helpful and the atrium lobby was amazing, especially at night. There are plenty of areas to sit with groups or relax on your own. There aren't a ton of restaurant options compared to other Orlando hotels but plenty for what most people would need (even a frozen custard shop). There are some healthy meal options too which is always nice to have. The pool area was well set up and there's even a separate play pool area for the kids complete with slides. For business travelers, the conference area is large and has lots to offer business groups. Will definitely come back here next time we're in the area.

Room Tip: Try for a pool view room- definitely a great view to wake up to or to watch the sun set over!

This is an older hotel that, for the most part, has been very nicely updated and renovated. However, for $250/night (rate + taxes), I would expect a modern walk-in shower and not the vintage 1970s tub and low-height shower head they have left in place. I am tall, but anyone over 5'6"/167cm is going to have to crouch due to the low shower heads. The main problem with this place is their pricing structure. On top of very high rates, you can expect to pay $18/day for parking and there is a $20/day "Resort Fee" that includes a bottle of water, local phone calls, in-room WiFi access, transport to the amusement parks (by reservation), and breakfast for children 12 and under. I had no use for any of these "resort" features (would have liked the WiFi access, but not at the a la carte price of $14.95/day).
I was attending a conference and will be reimbursed by my employer...but this is not the type of place I'd ever stay on my own dime. They are up-front with all of their fees and they are posted on their website. On a surprising positive note, the rooms are equipped with an unlocked mini-fridge (that is thankfully devoid of overpriced drinks/snacks) and they do not charge a fee to make use of the mini-fridge (there is a Publix a few blocks away). Overall, a nice hotel, albeit overpriced and laden with extra fees.

Dear TrotamundosBetis,

Thank you for providing your review. While it is never our intention to disappoint a guest in any way, clearly you had some issues with our pricing. Our rates are indeed competitive with other full-service hotels in the area that offer the same great location, wide array of facilities, and personalized services.

Had a wonderful stay at the SeaWorld Renaissance with my 2 year old son. The concierge (or navigator) Desiree was particularly helpful with activities appropriate for a toddler--and I went back for assistance several times. Our family was very comfortable. My only wish is that the kids water park had heated water. It was too cold for us during our February stay.

Recent stay at this terrific Hotel. Warm and friendly at registration desk and instantly upgraded to a larger room. Hotel is beautiful, immaculately clean and friendly. The pool area is large and a wonderful "park" with water slides, etc. for children. Again, service is great. Location is central to anywhere you'd like. Outlets, theme parks, International Drive dining... Will definitely stay there again.
