The hotel is an older property. The rooms have been painted fresh; but still a bit tired of a property. I would recommend a different Hilton property unless you really wanted in that neighborhood. The restaurant was good. Be cautious on weekends. Cheaper rates can be gotten on priceline. More

I was given a handicap room even though I am not,there was no tub and when you went into to bathroom there was a step up that I kept tripping over. The breakfast was not very appealing not enough choice. Bed was hard and not enough pillows.

Hotel was great upon arrival and desk staff were courteous and friendly. However, the room was unclean. I found dried blood stains under the top sheet on the comforter of my bed just before my departure after searching to be sure I hadn't left any of my belongings. With it being a Doubletree I didn't feel there was any reason for me to question the cleanliness of the bed before. The room had an older feel to it and could also usr modern update and newer central air/heat.

The accommodations were decent. No refrigerator or microwave in the room. My car was broken into in the hotel gated, $15 dollar a day parking lot. I felt violated, and would not recommend this location to anyone. Safety and security are obviously not a priority.

This is a large property, well placed for Downtown Orlando. There are restaurants in walking distance from the hotel, along the lakeside. I stayed on the 5th floor overlooking I-4. The hotel provided ear plugs as it is noisy. When they finish the widening of I-4 it will probably be worse. Try to stay on the opposite sides of the hotel. There is a Hilton Honors lounge on the 4th floor and a Drinks and snacks reception at 5.30pm. Parking is approx. $19.00 a night and they also offer valet parking. I would recommend they offer free parking to Gold Members of the Hilton Honors Program. The room was large and the bed was very comfortable. The TV had a good selection of channels and there was a safe and coffee maker. The buffet breakfast was the usual bagels, cereals and weak coffee.

Except for the never-ending highway construction (still going after 3 years), this is a great hotel in downtown Orlando. Food in the restaurant is good, street navigation is ok (again, construction), and overall location is really convenient.
