This is one really good budget hotel. I dont usually go for places that are labelled as 'budget' in Orlando as that usually means they are a bit worn out, but the Rosen has just been refurbished completely (it used to be the Quality Inn Plaza)
Rooms are really clean and cosy, two beds, a fridge, a mircrowave, coffeemaker and tv. The bathrooms are small, but do the job. Ive read reviews on here that complain about the kicthen sink and the bathroom sink being the same thing- but i wonder what on earth they have been trying to cook in the room- the sink is meant for beauty purposes, not cleaning dishes.
If you want to use the facilities, i would suggest the fridge for soft drinks, alcohol, bottles of water, milk for tea/coffee etc and the microwave for basic things like pop-tarts. It is not a self-catering apartment! Just somewhere with handy facilities to eat and prepare snacks.
The loaction of the hotel is suberb. Ive been to orlando many times but still found hotel-hunting difficult as they often blur the thruth about the location. This hotel is right opposite the new Pointe Orlando shopping, restaurant and bar complex. Very nice shops - a bit 'upmarket' but not as expensive as most restaurants in the theme parks or hotels. The food was amazing, i wholly reccomend you visit Maggianos for Italian (you cannot miss it, its right across the street from the hotel) and BBKing's Blues Club for drinks and a more casual meal.
Venturing away from Pointe Orlando or the hotel is easy, just take the I-Ride trolley, it stops at all the attractions on I-Drive and only costs $1.25! Great for visiting the outlet shopping centres.
The hotel runs free shuttles to Universal (inc Islands of Adventure) and these are great. However, the capacity is limited and based on first come first served - so get your 'boarding passes' the night before or early in the morning - dont leave it until the bus comes- you might not get on it!
Seaworld can be reached by the hotel's free shuttle service but (if like us) you sleep in, the I-Ride stops at the door to the park and means you aren't confined to the shuttle schedule. Aquatica can be reached by the free shuttle in Seaworld's carpark.
The hotel doesnt have a Disney shuttle service, so it would be better to have a car to get to Disney, however, with a little research it is possible.
Take the Lynx bus number 8 (the stop is the same as the I-Ride stop located just outside the hotel - ask the staff) then get off at 'Hawaii Court' (say that to the driver and he will know) then get the 111 Lynx bus that takes you right into Disney and stops at the Ticket and Transportation centre where you can eaily get to Magic Kingdom and all the other attractions. It took around 40minutes and only cost $2 each.
One thing i would say about the hotel is the outward-facing doors. Like a motel, if feels a little bit unsafe, but the hotel has 24hour security, the doors lock properly and there are safes inside the rooms, so dont let it put you off.
The pools looked great but we didnt use them. The bar is lively and nice for a drink before bed.

My Partner and I stayed here last September it was our first holiday to Orlando! Apart from having an 8 Hour delay (Would never fly with Thomson again) we arrived at the hotel at 2am. The staff were very friendly and welcomed us warmly! The room was very nice! Basic but nice! Very clean (Maid cleaned our room every day). We never used the pools but they did look very clean! We purchased the Orlando Flex Ticket and went to the Parks every day! Instead of using the shuttle every day we would take the I Trolley to Wet n Wild then walk to Universal only took (15 Mins) We even walked to SeaWorld from our hotel (30 Mins)! This was by far the best holiday we have ever had!! We have even booked to go back to Orlando this year!! However as we are this year doing the Disney Parks (did not do them last year) we are staying at a different hotel in Kissimmee (Only as it is nearer to Disney).
We do feel that only negative people seem to comment about the Hotel! Were they expecting the Ritz?? If so pay extra and stay at a 5 Star hotel. But what you all have to remember you go on holiday to Florida to go out and about every day to the Parks etc. not to sit in your room looking at the decor!!! If you want to stay in a 5 Star hotel then pay extra and stay in a 5 Star hotel but if you want to go to Florida stay in a nice clean hotel great location for Universal and SeaWorld then please Stay Here! Or if you just want to moan about the slightest detail then please don’t go over to Florida just go somewhere tacky like Spain or Turkey!
This Hotel is great and we would recommend it to everyone!!!

The beds at this hotel are comfortable. That is the only positive that I can say about this place. In our first week the electrics in the kitchenette packed in twice, the toilet blocked and overflowed, I removed three cockroaches and several small black beetles from our room and on one occasion the room wasn't cleaned. I found the reception staff to be surly and unhelpful but maybe that was because I never found one who had English as a first language and had difficulty communicating. If this hotel is supposed to be newly renovated I would hate to have seen it before. The restaurant and the "Lite Bite" I found to be overpriced and of poor quality although there were several decent restaurants in the vicinity. Summing up, the hotel and the surrounding area is tired and needs a complete facelift.

Pleasently located on International Drive's northern end the hotel provides spacious and clean rooms. Ideally situated for all the major theme parks it provides an excellent base. The restaurant, sadly, is a disappiontment but their are well priced(good) food outlets and restaurants with a short walk of the hotel.

Pillows are not provided in the rooms rather just soft cushions for the bed(s). For those that enjoy a firm pillow to sleep on their are no alternatives! But overall good value for money.

We stayed there for a week during the past Christmas. Booked it from their official website using AAA discount. Ave. daily rate including tax was 52. It has refrigerator and microwave. It has a slide door that you can separate those from the sleeping area. Very quite in the night, though we don't need AC/heater during our stay.

The only complaint from me is the tub was worn out and seems dirty. We only used shower.

The hotel has 5 buildings. I've read people complaint about I-4 side is noisy. So I asked for a room that on the other side facing I-drive. There's a 24 hour Walgreen nearby. Super Walmart is 7 minute drive on Turtle Lake rd.

It is about 17 minute drive to Disney parks and 5 minutes to Universal Studio. Really convenient location.

They only sell one day park ticket of Disney parks. Have multiple choices on Universal Studio park tickets. Slightly cheaper than gate price. The lady at the lobby selling tickets was very nice.

I think that the Rosen Inn is a wonderful and simple room. I got this room at a cheap price so it was to my satisfaction that the amenities in the room were quite convenient. though I must say, please famaliarize yourself with which Rosen Inn I am referring to being that there are others hotels on I-drive with the similar name but of different standards. This hotel is located directly across from Wonderworks. I had stayed here before when it had a previous name and it was a disgrace, so it is nice to see these rooms newly updated. The Lite Bite snack store came in handy being that it was 24 hours. Some of the items were a bit pricely but were enjoyable at 3 am in the morning. any one with reservations about this hotel.. please don't be skeptical, its worth an inexpensive getaway!

this hotel was booked as part of a package with virgin atlantic. The location was perfect and was easy to find our way around to the various different attractions. The bar was well run and reasonably priced. The only complaint about this hotel was the noise from the I4 motorway which was literally 50 yards from our room. But we were so tired at night that i could have slept through everything.
