“A clean, comfortable stay”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

Although not as upscale as the other Rosen hotel we have stayed at on I-Drive, this one was still clean and comfortable, and the rate was very reasonable. The Rosen Inn is a huge hotel complex with buildings A - G which have four floors of rooms each. All rooms are outdoor entrances. I believe each building has its own pool, or if not, every other building has a pool. The rooms are quite large, so you will not feel cramped. Our room had two double beds and there was still a lot of space open in the room. There are places to eat on property, but I-Drive is loaded with various dining options, many of which are within walking distance. There is a shopping and restaurant complex just across the street from the resort. There is gated parking, but no extra charge for it, which was very nice. For families visiting Orlando and wanting affordable hotel rooms near the main attractions of the area and close to I-4, this is a great option.

Room Tip: Building D which we stayed in faces I-4 and the pool on all the even numbered rooms. We had no prob...

Myself and my girlfriend went to Orlando for a week at the end of May/ start of June and stayed at the Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando.

We arrived at around 5 P.M after a long day travelling and got the first cab from the airport we could find, cost around $20/30 dollars as we didnt wanna spend an hour waiting around for buses that was only a few dallars cheaper but would take a lot longer to get to the hotel. Taxi took around 20 mins.

After arriving at Rosen Inn we were greeted by staff and checked Inn quickly and managed to get a room in Block A (Closest to reception and first of 3 pools on the grounds) on the 4th floor overlooking the car par, neither the I-drive side or freeway side that has gotten a lot of attention due to the noise, but the only thing that caused any noise disturbance was probably the air conditioning in the room.

Rooms were great, two big beds, huge closet, larget Flat screen and offset kitchenette area with fridge, microwave, kettle etc. These are perfect for keeping water and snacks chilled. Rooms are cleaned everyday by friendly maids, and security are also very friendly as we had to call them to the room because of an issue with the safe. The rooms bascially have everything you need for a stay in Orlando, its not over luxuorious but if you come to Orlando and spend a lot of time in the hotel, you're doing it wrong.

Hotel has a bar & grill, 24 hour convenience store, buffet and gift shop all located in the lobby but out on the I-Drive there are so many places to visit and try out we didn't eat at the hotel at all. Although the buffet seemed fairly priced and had a decent selection of food for fueling the tanks in the morning before hitting the parks. However just located in the car park outside the hotel is a Sizzlers where you can get an all you can eat breakfast for around $6/7 dollars. Walgreens Drugstore across the road has all you need in the way of snacks and toiletries etc and good prices.

We set a food budget and would only tend to eat big meals twice a day, all you can eat breakfast, then take some snacks to the parks and have a meal out on I-Drive in the evenings. Favourite places to eat would be Bahama Breeze for Carribean style food and cocktails, Miller's Ale house and Hooters for good ol' American food and beer, and The Olive Garden was also nice and resonalby cheap. Dinner for two including drinks and tip would be approx $35/50.

Getting around was a breeze, The Lynx bus and I-trolley operate up and down the I-Drive. We chose to get the 5 day pass for the trolley at $7 dollars. The I-trolley has a good map of the area and I would recommend picking up, it shows all the attractions and hotels, restaurants etc at each numbered stop along the route. Rosen Inn was stop number 24 on the south end (less tacky) side of the I drive and for instance Sea world was stop 35 south and would take maybe 15 mins to get there, getting back in the evenings can be tougher and take longer due to traffic, so plan ahead. For disney you need to either take a town car ($25-50 return for a family) from the hotel or transfer from the trolley at the stop before Seaworld and get a lynx bus for the remainder.

Attractions and parks are scattered all around the area, as we had a flexi ticket bought in advance we visited Seaworld, Aquatica, Wet n Wild and Universal Studios at least two times each. The hotel operates a complimentary shuttle (that you have to book the day before) to Universal , I would recommed getting the earliest one around 8 a.m, as you need to get to Universal and Island of Adventure realistically before they open to enjoy it fully as these parks can get really crowded, real quick during the afternoon and wait times can be into hours especially for the Harry Potter section. For the other parks its esaier to jump on the Trolley and get to them, spend a couple of hours there and head back to the hotel during the afteroon and go to a different park in the evening to avoid the busiest times and use your time efficiently. I would also recommend visiting the Titanic Experience and Musuem where you get a guided tour and learn a lot about the ship and the story you wouldn't have knwon before, it's something different and a welcomed break from walking around in the heat at the parks!

Shopping bargains can be found at either of the premiums shopping mall outlets located at either end of the I-Drive (last stop on the trolley) and across the road at Pointe Orlando where there are some nice shops ( Hollister,Victoria's Secret,Tommy Hilfiger, etc.)

Overall Orlando and International drive is a lovely area for families and couples a like, plenty to see and do and has the scope for you to spend as much or as little as you like and still have a great time.

Me and my boyfriend came to stay here in April for 12 days for a theme park holiday. The hotel was clean and simple and great for theme parks, it had an excellent location on pointe orlando next to all the restaurants and we could always get a space in the car park. We rented a car however there was always coaches taking people to the parks so if you can't drive this is a good hotel for the shuttles. We got the coupons from the reception as everyone suggested on here and theses helped us. We were near the two outlet malls which was good and our hotel was never far from the theme parks. As I said the rosen inn was clean and simple a few people complained on here that it was out of date, however I thought it was good for a 3 star as we were always out at the theme parks and you only really are in the hotel when we slept. My only criticism would b hat the pool was a bit dirty looking, at night you could see dirt at the bottom, so we never went n which was a shame as it was so hot. But the staff were lovely and apart from that we had no problems! I loved being able to always b less than 5 mins away from a Restaurant which when we were in a rush and tired was a good point. If I needed to stay without using a pool I would stay here again but if I wanted more of a pool holiday would stay in another one on pointe orlando.

The room was a really good size, we stayed in block c. the pool was a good temperature throughout the holiday and not too busy as it was not the main pool. check in took a little while and our safe was locked so could not use, although we could of called security to fix it but we had a major busy holiday. so we trustingly left some valuables and cash in the room and put the do not disturb sign on the door but the maids still let themselves in anyway. That really was the main bad point to this hotel. another was that we were woken up numerous times over the week by people arguing outside and running up and down the hall (more like one public balcony) due to lack of private space we had nowhere to dry any towels or swimwear. there was a coffee maker in our room with coffees but no coffee pot which i didn't understand. Overall it is in a good location and breakfast buffet was decent but i guess the only place in america that does not serve bacon! Also have to pay extra for juice on top of paying for buffet and coffee/ tea.

Stayed here from 15th and 29th of June. Like others wasn't sure what to expect as I read some dodgy reviews along with good ones also, but nor my girlfriend had any complaints whatsoever about the hotel.

The check in service was much easier and quicker than anticipated although we arrived late at night, great, clean perfect sized rooms with 2 double beds and wide screen tv with wide variety of channels you could view whilst relaxing. Shower and bathroom in perfect working order, fresh sheets were provided every day, even on days we left the room after 12, we arrived to fresh made bed. Only complaint is that if trash not placed in bin (v.small) it wasn't taken from room, and there is no place to eat but didn't bother us too much as we just used the spare bed.

Amenities were also great, 3 pools to choose from if there was no sun beds available, hotel staff were all very friendly particularly the staff at the attractions desk. Shop was very handy and most staff friendly and helpful although at times slow from having private conversations.

Location was fantastic right in the middle if I-drive, with bus stop right outside that brought us to parks and premium outlets with the furthest being 20 minutes away. It is also really close to great restaurants and bars particularly millers ale house across the road and Tony Romas about ten minute walk left.

Would definitely stay here again because of great price, location, comfortable rooms, great facilities and friendly staff.

These are the top 3 things I look for in a hotel when traveling and in Orlando the Rosen fits that bill. It is close to several restaurants, walking distance to House of Blues, Wonderworks and many other stores or bars. It is a large hotel spread out in different buildings over the property. Check-in is usually a little busy but seems to move pretty fast. It is pet friendly.
They have a bar/pool, restaurant, shop, atm, and a convenience type store that has just about everything you might need open 24 hrs, you have microwaves in your room and you even get a hot dog/chips or a variety of frozen entrees, sandwiches, bagels etc, when the munchies hit and you don't want to go anywhere. There is a nice covered space with table to sit outside and smoke, several pools with towels provided and even a free pool table to use.
The rooms are always clean, nice tv, coffee maker, iron etc. There are elevators. The doors are to the outside but after several stays there, even during grad nite and band competitions, it has always been quiet. Parking is plenty ample, you are given a car tag upon arrival and you have to be let in by a security guard. These guys monitor the hotel quite nicely, I see them everywhere. Its a short drive to Universal and they provide a shuttle within certain hours. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

We had a very lovely room but somewhat outdated. However, coffee amendities were available and view on swimmingpool was good. The great feature of this hotel that its near all kinds of supermarkets and fast food restaurants. Disney, Movieworld and Sea World are all very close by and easy accessible by car.
