Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando
Ranked #111 of 342 Hotels in Orlando
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed September 19, 2012

Stayed May 2012 as a grop of 9 including three children aged 3-14.
First of all the location of this hotel is excellent, just over the road from the Pointe Orlando with its many shops, bars and dining options to suit all budgets. We didn't hire a car as this isn't something we like to do. Taxis are reasonable and readily available from the hotel.
Rooms: My wife and I requested a king bed instead of the two doubles as this is what we prefer. Rooms are pretty much as advertised on website. Spacious with nice flat screen tv, bath/shower were fine and the room also had a fridge and microwave. Air con worked fine although a little noisy. Room was cleaned everyday to a high standard.
Pool areas: the hotel has 3 pools but we only used the middle of the three as this was a good meeting point for us all. Never had a problem getting sun loungers and we spent many an afternoon just lazing by the pool with a nice cold beer! (use Walgreens over the road to buy any refreshments as its much cheaper. We bought a cool box and used the hotels ice machines to keep our drinks cold)
Hotel bar: Nice place to meet at night, pool table and live music at times. Staff were great, especially the lady, who's name Ive forgotten. She was really helpful when we arrived back late at night and the kitchen had closed. She said to us to go to pizza hut over the road and she would provide us with crockery and cutlery. A really nice touch.

I compare this hotel to the Rosen centre, nr the convention centre. I absolutely love that hotel but thought we'd give this hotel a try. Although in my opinion this hotel isn't as nice as the Rosen centre the location more than makes up for it. I'm just about to book for the same time next year and I will once again stay at the Rosen inn at Pointe Orlando. The deciding factor...the location!!

Just came back from a 2 week holiday at the Rosen. My partner and I had a fantastic time. The hotel is lovely and clean and has all the amenities you need from a holiday hotel. There was no suprise charges at the end of the holiday like you get at some hotels (Parking).
We had such a good time that we have changed our wedding plans. We were going to be married in Aruba next year but we have changed it to Florida next August.
We were so impressed with the Rosen that we have booked 21 nights for the wedding and honeymoon at this fantastic hotel.
11 months to go.....cant wait :-)

Just returned from a fortnights holiday at this hotel. Could not fault it at all. All staff extremely helpful and always speak to you. An ideal location for whatever you are doing in Orlando, wether its Disney, Seaworld, Universal or just shopping. The breakfast buffet was excellent although a little more expensive than Sizzlers which is only a little 2 minute stroll away.Rooms cleaned everyday. The rooms are a little smaller than some places we have stayed but ample for showering and sleeping. I trolley is still only $17 for a fortnight pass, ideal for Seaworld, Aquatica, and the outlet shopping malls at either end of I Drive. They do get busy especially for Seaworld but it happens here aswell. Zebra bar is good to unwind on a night and you can always pick up tips on shopping or parks. Friendly and Happy Hours twice a day.Would definitely recommend this Hotel to anyone. The staff cannot do enough to assist and really friendly aswell. Thank you to all the mangement and staff for another enjoyable stay. If you e-mail in advance with a room request they do try and honour your request. We requested a room with pool view and close to reception and this was granted. No complaints here only praise to all.

Stayed here in Jan 2012 the hotel was clean and crowed as there was several tours staying in the hotel. We were put on the ground floor of F building and found it to be quite and the room very comfortable. This hotel is close to International drive so we took advantage of having a large number of restaurants nearby as the buffet was fairly expensive ($13 each for breakfast. The Sizzler across the way was $4.95 and was quite good.) The swimming pool was fantastic and the hotel is located close to the I4 for those who rent a car or drive to Orlando. Taxi's are available at the front door and very reasonable. We enjoyed our stay and plan on staying there again very soon.

Room Tip: Use F or G block as this area is further away from the main building but much quieter and it's a...

My boyfriend (23) and I (22) stayed here for the first 2 weeks in September 2012. Room 2023 – a lovely, quiet room with no traffic noise. We had a ‘fun saver room’ which included 2 double beds, kitchenette, toilet, bath with overhead shower and air con that could be turned on, off or set to automatic intervals which was perfect when I realised I had a pattern of waking up at 2am absolutely roasting!

The daily room cleaning service was out-standing! We were provided fresh towels, our beds made, courtesy shampoo, conditioner and soap also regularly provided. They also ensured not to “non moleste” us if we had put the ‘do not disturb’ sign on the door. My only small criticism is that sometimes we would come back to the room around 15:00-16:00 and on 3 occasions our room had not been cleaned yet (bearing in mind we left the room between 08:30 and 09:00) which then left us in the predicament to have our room cleaned or to leave it so we could chill out and get ready for the evening.

There was free Wifi in the hotel lobby and hotel room, which was a bonus! It had a very good strength of signal most of the time.

I cannot comment on the food as we ate out on International Drive every night. We used Lite Bites in the hotel lobby (open 24/7) when we arrived at the hotel at 23:00, it was overly priced indeed but it was handy if you fancied a snack or a drink at any hour. There is a Walgreens store at stop 23 on the I-trolley (within EASY walking distance from hotel) which was much cheaper.
The Zebra Bar was a nice small bar with good, friendly atmosphere for a drink before heading out, it had the English football on as well – that pleased the other half!

All staff (reception, security, cleaners et al) were very friendly, always happy to say hello as they passed.

As for the location, it is brilliantly positioned making it easy to hop on the I-trolley for $1.25 per ride (to be $1.50 from 1st October) to SeaWorld, Aquatica, Discovery Cove and Universal Studios. We only visited DownTown Disney which was a 20 min taxi drive for 28 dollars each way. I would reconsider car hire if I was to go regularly to Disney parks, rather than waiting around for transfer buses.

In a summary… the only low would be the price of the Lite Bites! Highs of Rosen Inn @ Pointe Orlando would be the location and high standard of cleanliness; a well-looked after hotel. I would most definitely and happily stay here again.

Room Tip: Don't flush the tissues from the tissue box down the hotel room loo...we got it blocked! Rose...

We had a fabulous holiday and this hotel is great for somewhere just to rest your head for the night before you’re up again busy the next day. We stayed in F block which was lovely and quite with no disturbances at all, comfy beds and always kept very clean. Before arrival I requested a quiet room with a king size bed as there was only two of us and this request was met and we were delighted. Good room with a large TV, microwave fridge and ample storage. Can’t fault the service given by the maids towels always changed and fresh linen every other day.
The hotel is in a good position close to universal and great bus services (both lynx and I-ride) right outside. We pre booked our tickers with the lynx buses and were glad we did as the I-ride only covers international drive and thus does not take you to Disney. Works out being much cheaper as a week pass online is around $16.00. We did find it a bit of a grind going to Disney on the busses though as sometimes this could take up to and over an hour and we would consider driving next time!
There is a multitude of places to eat with the hotel being situated on international drive you’re spoilt for choice! Would definitely recommend BB kings bar and restaurant with live blues/motown shows most nights opposite in the Point Orlando complex.
Overall I would recommend this hotel as it suited our needs, I have stayed in worse and nicer hotels justifying my 3 star average rating. The Rosen Inn @ Point Orlando was a great foundation to our holiday and made us feel very welcome.
