We have been to the Rosen Inn at Point Orlando twice in May and September of 2011 and you really get what you pay for. We booked through Cosmos for 2 weeks and flight, hotel and car hire came in at around £560 each, on both occasions, amazingly cheap. The hotel is very centrally located within easy access to all of the disney theme parks, less than 20 mins away in the car and aswell as in the hotel there are plenty of places to eat.
The room was cleaned to an OK standard everyday but sometimes not until late afternoon which could be a little awkward at times. The beds are comfortable although even in the elevated rooms it can be rather noisy, so its better to go for a room at the front of the hotel that looks out on International Drive rather than the I4.
This is not a bad place to stay as a base as most of the time in Orlando you will be out at the parks etc so is it really worth paying for a room that you will barely be in at one of the more expensive hotels?
On the down side, the cheap prices attract some really ignorant people. There is a small sun bathing area around the pools and clear signs telling people not to dive or bomb into the pool, probably because of the splash it will make on sunbathers. These people could either not read or were just being really selfish and chose to ignore the signs. Something I'm sure would not have happened had we paid more and hotel staff were on hand to prevent this. Anyway all in all not bad. A good cheap base providing you have got your Disney and Universal passes and will only be at the hotel for a sleep (albeit at the front of the hotel).

Room Tip: Go for the front of the hotel in an elevated room facing International drive as these are much quiet...

Well, just writing to let people know how fab my three weeks in Florida were, that's the third time I have stayed in this hotel and it was just as good as always with excellent amenities and close to a lot of great places to eat, can't wait to go back. It was great to be with all most of my family, just wish my brothers and their families had come.

We stayed here as part of our honeymoon in the USA. Were intitally disappointed with a room, but only as it was our honeymoon. The receptionists were really helpful and moved us to a room with a king size bed and it was generally bigger and better quality.
The only problem we had was that the transfers to Disney were expensive £17 per person (including children) and although transfers to SeaWorld and Universal were free, the picking up times were very sparse.
I know a lot of people at the hotel were told by their travel agent that ALL transfers were free- this is not the case and in some ways, with a family, it would probably be cheaper to stay at a Disney hotel.

Just arrived back from 2 weeks of absolute bliss. For our first time to Florida, I don't think I could have chosen a better located hotel. Free transportation to most parks and not all of them at stupid o'clock either!!!

- I was able to go at my own pace.
- Always a lounger to use by the pool.
- All staff very friendly, accommodating.
- All requests honoured - even at short notice
- We didn't eat at hotel, so I cannot comment
- Close to all Restaurants.
- Yes, Litebites is a little expensive, however, which hotel who has store within it isn't!!! - Remember you have a choice - Walgreens across the street
- My cousin came in from LA for a couple of days and she was able to stay in our room/ at $15 per night (cost of an extra bed in our rooms) - our request was honoured without any problems.
- Lynx Buses/I-Ride stop just outside hotel, so if I didn't want to wait for transfer return - I could catch a bus/i-ride or even a taxi. Taxi cost from Universal to Hotel circa $15 (without tip).
-Everything accessible.
- The only thing is - I wished I had a kettle, but that's minor (as I boiled my water in the microwave!!)

So would I come back again - absolutely!

We got you!!

Overall the room was nice, but bathroom was not cleaned well, mold around the caulk on the shower bar, they place a plastic mat to be used in the tub but it's not clean. Toilet did not look like it was cleaned while we were there, nor the bathroom floor. Towels were very rough, bed sheets had some stains.

Front desk staff was very attentive, also had to call for the toilet to be plunged and serviceman arrived promptly.

The breakfast buffet was a great value, big selection, $7.99 for adults, children free, and the food was good.

Convenient to Orange County Convention Center and right across the street from Pointe Orlando. Universal and Sea World short drives down the road on each direction.

place is terrific location for convention center and rstrnts and stores but feels sprawling, a bit run down, not very impressive looking, somewhat low rent. very friendly staff though. worst part was lite bite store that charges outrageous prices for everything: ie beef jerkey small stndrd packet was nearly $10!!! even the clerk was embarrassed. terrible.

Just landed back in England from two weeks here with my 12 year old son. From check-in to check-out couldn't have asked for a better base to a great holiday.Whilst not the most expensive hotel on International Drive,we would definitely struggle to find a better value hotel. We didn't want a car,so this is perfectly placed for all the major Orlando attractions, free transport to Universal/Sea World/Busch Gardens, and only $17 dollars return to Disney, which suited us because there were only the 2 of us,larger parties would probably find cheaper ways of getting there, but the lovely staff at the attractions desk will always help out anyway they can.
Rooms were kept very clean on a daily basis,as was the whole hotel and grounds, plenty of room and towels at any of the three pools, bar was great for a couple of cold ones after a day at the parks, and the on site 24hr shop was great for essentials, but there was a Walgreens a two minute walk from the hotel for stocking up a bit cheaper. We could have eaten somewhere different every night within walking distance of the hotel, and everywhere we went was great food, and great service. The I-ride stopped right outside the hotel, which for about £10/12 gave you unlimited travel for the two weeks up and down International Drive, which we well and truly got our moneys worth from.
During our two weeks at this hotel we could not find one thing to complain about, and would have no reservations recommending it to others. It's will be the first hotel I'll be checking for next years holiday :-)
