“nice place to stay”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

We stayed here for business. We were attending a conference. The room was large, beds comfortable. The FREE breakfast ans happy hour each day was a great bonus. The breakfast is a full service breakfast with made to order omlets, sausage, bacon, pancakes, waffles, fruit, toast, yogurt, pastries, milk, coffee and juice.
It made it really nice each morning before going to our conference to have a full hearty breakfast. We would return each day to a FREE happy 2 hour happy hour with cocktails and bar snacks like pretzels, humus and pita, chips and salsa. The bartenders were excellent.
We used the indoor and out door pool, sauna and hot tubs. All were very nice. The hotel is located in a very central location to all of the theme parks and would be a nice location to bring tha family back to for vacation.

Room Tip: Great value if you are traveling with kids.

Had a suite with one bedroom and one sofabed in the 'living room'. 2 flatscreen tv's, full kitchen.
The hotel is centrally located to all the attractions. Free shuttle bus to the parks, and public bus stop nearby. Restaurants nearby.
The breakfast was very basic and the breakfast area too small when we were there (Easter), resulting in long lines for waffles and people not being able to sit down.
Nice pool area.

Just come back after two weeks at the embassy Suites, I drive.
The hotel is in a perfect location for all to do In orlando.
There is a courtesy bus every day which takes you too either universal or epcot. At epcot you catch the free buses to any of the Disney parks. To go to sea world and aquatic water park you can catch the I trolley from the bus stop near enough outside the hotel.
The hotel offers a breakfast which includes cereals, fruit, breads, cakes and all soft drinks and coffee and tea. They also serve any omelette you can think off including bacon, sausage, potato and pan cakes..Our room was cleaned every day and if you get back from the parks early enough there is a free bar which serves beers, wines, cocktails, spirits, soft drinks and sangria. There is also a nibbles bar too !!
The staff were excellent, we had a free safe, free wi- fi and we were able to keep our room till 4 pm as we were leaving at 4.30 pm.
I would have give it 5 stars but I think the rooms need updating soon but im sure that would knock the cost up. We paid just over £3k for easter half term week with virgin, all in all we thought it was a bargain.

The rooms show their age in places and could stand a refresh but are kept clean and orderly. Housekeeping was excellent, check-in staff friendly and the complimentary breakfast was very good. Avoid the rooms near the elevators - there's additional noise from the traffic - if you need quiet while working in the business (front door) area of the suite, but with the master bedroom in the rear the noise poses no problems for sleeping. The in-house restaurant food was good and the staff very friendly. The conference room was comfortable. Pools looked real nice but I didn't get a chance to use them. I'd stay here again if in the area.

A total makeover is overdue. Cosmetic needs include paint and carpeting. I hope that will help the damp, musty smell. The gout in the bathroom has mildew. Fortunately we did not spend that much time in the room. Price was too high for what we got - $200+per night. The breakfast was just okay. It was nice to have that included but the quality was not up to Embassy Suite standards.
Pros-
Parking was free.
Across the street were some great restaurant choices.
Hotel conveniently located to attractions.

Let's get this straight - this is not a 5* super deluxe property. It is a reasonably comfortable hotel in Orlando that perhaps needs a little TLC in places. You're not going to get 3* Michelin food for breakfast at the buffet, what is there is good enough.

The downsides have been mentioned - the drapes do not cover the windows fully/easily at the front and it's easy to peek around the edges. I always travel with Duck tape and this solves the problem. The room decor could do with an upgrade and the sofa-bed was not the best in the world for comfort. Luckily my kids were worn out from the parks. Food in the in-house restaurant is not that good.

The good - early start at breakfast is easy and gets you out for the Parks in good time. Rent a car - do not rely on shuttle busses - they will eat into your valuable vacation time.

The pools are good, but unsupervised, so beware of rowdy kids.

Free booze at the Manager's reception - what can be wrong with that? Have an early start then head back for drinks while the crowds get wet in the storms. Then out to eat - plenty of places a simple stroll away.

All in all a good stop for a family vacation - good to have the extra space to park the kids and a room for the parents.
