“A good choice”
Reviewed October 4, 2012

This hotel is in I-Drive and within walking distance or short cab ride to alot of places to eat or shop. The hotel lobby and center area are very nice. It seems a bit dated in areas. The rooms are all suites, separate bedroom and living area with pullout couch. The bedroom has its own sink, the bathroom is located within the living area. There is also a small bar, fridge, coffee maker. Its really nice actually.
I was in room 321 and it was a bit noisy. I'm not sure if it was the elevator or some construction going on. It didn't really bother me at night when sleeping though.
There is a full hot breakfast, NOT continental, with made to order omlettes and fresh melon. The FishEye Grill has good food as well. The pool area isn't huge but quite nice. They also have the Manager's Party from 5:30pm to 7:30pm with free drinks! Please tip the servers, they are quite friendly. The snacks are either nacho chips, popcorn, a couple of dips etc.
We were in a group of 12 and really enjoyed it. I wouldn't have any hesitation suggesting this hotel unless you're looking for a very high end location.

Overall: I was here for a conference in September. Talking to one of my work colleagues based in Florida, he said that there are two Embassy Suites in Orlando, and the one on International Drive is the better one. Huge relief as it’s difficult to change these conference reservations! Anyway, it’s a standard Embassy Suites set up, great daily breakfast and happy hour. The facilities were a bit worn, but nothing unpleasant. Service was average, although I thought the bell boys were friendly and good. One offered a great suggestion of a steak house across the street. Location to the conference center, it’s about a 10 – 15 minute walk, and depending on the weather could be miserable. Across the street were several restaurants, in fact there were several restaurants all along International Drive (with a wide variety of price ranges and types of restaurants).

Check in: I arrived about 12 hours later than I planned (9:00 AM as opposed to 9:00 PM the night before). When I called in, they just charged my first night stay so that when I arrived at the hotel, I was technically checked in. I didn’t mind it because I needed a couple of hours of sleep after a crazy travel schedule.

Rates: Conference rate of $159 per night, no resort fee.

Internet: I was given a code since I was there for a conference. No problems with connectivity.

Room: Stayed in 431, again a typical Embassy Suites layout. The front portion of the room is a sitting area, mini kitchen and bathroom. The back portion is the bedroom with a sink. One issue was the curtains that covered the windows from the hallway. I had to make sure that the curtains were closed (i.e. no gaps) otherwise people could see into the room. Not a big issue if the bathroom was in the back room, but this room the bathroom was in the front. Had a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker. The desk space was two tables with a chair. Useable, one of the perks was that I could arrange the tables in any way I wanted to.

Not sure if I would stay here again as there are several hotels along International Drive to try. But for the price paid and the breakfast and happy hour “included,” it’s not a bad deal.

Just arrived back from spending at a week at this hotel. Large suite more than ample for both of us. Extremely clean. Good breakfast with omelets cooked to order and plenty more to choose from. The position of the hotel was excellent , near to bars and restaurants and an I Drive trolley stop and Lynx bus stop near to the hotel entrance which is good if like us you don't drive. We had a room on the 8th floor at the front and weren't bothered by noise at all. All staff very friendly and when we come back would not hesitate to stay here again

It is what it is! This is a tourist town. The hotels here get used used and abused every day. I am a diamond member and used points to stay here for a week. Room is dated a bit, but are clean. The breakfast is fine....hey, it's free....and given the amount of money we have spent on other meals, I'll take free any day. The staff has been nice. They must have an elevator problem as I have seen many posts about that, but there are 4 of them. If one is down, pick another!

I have never stayed at a hotel and got to know the staff by name like this. This is a hotel that has seen many visitors I get that but the staff here makes up for that in a big way. Venessa, Luz, Alma, Jose, Robert, and Ron you people are the best. They made our stay up to Hilton Quality these people love what they do and want you to enjoy your stay. So if something is not up to your standards let them know they want to make it right do not complain about it on Tripadvisor with out giving them a chance to make you happy.

This was our first trip to Orlando and International Drive. I cannot fault this hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were cleaned to a high standard each day and were spacious for us as a family (two adult, two children - 11, 14). The breakfast is excellent with lots to choose from. Complimentary snacks and drinks available from 5.30-7.30 pm each evening. There was a courtesy shuttle to some of the theme parks and an I-Trolley stop right outside the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel and hope to return in the future.

Room Tip: Our room was situated at the end of the corridor on the 4th floor. Very little noise.
