“Good Location”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2013

I really like this location. It is centrally located fairly close to Disney, but really close to Universal and International Drive. And the Dr. Phillips area has tons of great dining.

It was however, not the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in and the front desk and breakfast seemed very under staffed. There was only one person working the front desk every time I went by and there was always someone waiting to be helped.

The line for breakfast went through the lobby and out the door. It may have been included in the room price, but not worth the wait.

Lastly, (this probably has nothing to do with the hotel, but...) you need to be really careful buying tickets from the "discount" ticket place in the lobby. If I would have bought the tickets to Universal through them (instead of at the gate) it would have cost me an extra $25/ticket time 5 tickets = $125

Renovated nicely from when it was a Comfort Suites. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The pool area was great for the kids. HOWEVER.....
The breakfast area is a zoo. Yes its free and I shouldn't complain but there isn't enough seating. And people were rude. Some were holding seats for people "who will be here in 15 minutes".
I was so disgusted that we left and paid for breakfast. I chose this hotel mainly for the price because we aren't in the room very much except for sleeping.

First off people need to calm themselves when complaining about lines for FREE BREAKFAST. Personal rule of mine: if something is free then you don't complain.

We stayed here one night to break up a long weekend of driving. Our room was clean and the breakfast was hot. I had my kids go down in their PJs because we wanted to beat the line (we had been warned by the complainers). Go before 8 if you don't want to wait.

The location was perfect for us. We hit up CityWalk at night and then stopped over at Downtown Disney etc. the next morning.

There is a Walmart and WholeFoods within a few blocks from the hotel. There are tons of restaurants on I-4 within a mile.

The pool had been closed by the health department which is a red flag. Other than that it's a decent hotel for a low price.

***Our room looked nothing like the nasty pictures that I have seen posted here.

I book three rooms, and they where perfect, two beds and sofa bed, nice and clean, the breakfast worth staying, the ladies filling the food with a great attitude and fresh fruits, yogurts, eggs, patties, waffles, orange juice, apple juice, milk, fresh coffee, all kinds of breads, the concierge great help and also nice attitude, above all everyone was friendly and with a nice attitude, the pool clean and clean towel to use, if I go to Orlando again definitely I take this Hotel. Thank You guys, keep up the good work. :-) :-) :-)

Room Tip: first floor is the best pick. :-) and in front of the pool.

We were in town for volleyball so I needed a room with a microwave, and fridge as well as a relaxing pool area! Let me start with the rooms! They can use a paint job and some updating but our room was clean, no bugs, no foul odor. The room was nice size and the beds were comfortable. The staff was reluctantly helpful except one cleaning lady (forgot her name) but she helped us navigate the area. There is a Walmart super center which was perfect and inexpensive for the items we needed. My only disappointment with this place was the pool area. I booked this room because of the convenience and the pool area. The pool needed to be cleaned, should have been maintained at least every other day, not so but the biggest disappointment was the bar! It was there but never opened. The website says a tiki bar but it is shut down, the only thing that was available was the radio and the tv. We brought our own food and drinks to the pool but would have liked the atmosphere of the tiki bar! When I asked an employee about it he said, "that's a good question, ask a manager in the morning" I did and they said the owner of the bar went out of business....big disappointment. Overall it is not bad it has TONS of potential but needs a major management and face lift.

The price is excellent for what you get. Two very clean and cushioned king beads, enough bathroom space, a very good pool and centralized. Location is just excellent, Hospital close enough, gym and Walmart. Also in the middle between Universal and Sea World. Microwave, coffeemaker, refrigerator and a store. Definitely a good experience. I recommend this place. This is the third time I stayed at this hotel. Was here this time for just one night June 7 to June 8.

Room Tip: Third Floor Pool View.

Not very clean and rundown. The breakfasts were nice, just a pity about the dirty rooms!!
The carpets looked like they had never been vacuumed in years! Funny smell in the lobby and rooms. Hotel has so much potential with the nice pool area if they would just maintain it and keep it clean.

Room Tip: Rather choose a different hotel.
