My son and I have stayed here three times now and we're going back next month. We both love this resort. Our rooms have always been clean and comfortable. The main pool is our favorite because of its size and depth and we've never found it to be too crowded to enjoy. The food court is fast and convenient. The buses...well, that's the best part. We stayed in Pop Century two years ago and a 45-minute wait for a bus was not uncommon. At Sports, the buses run so regularly that we rarely wait more than 15 or 20 minutes. We absolutely will not stay anywhere else and honestly, for the price, why would we? (Oh, the people here are also very nice and helpful, unlike Pop Century where they employees flat out were rude and dishonest.)

We just left after a 4 night stay. Really enjoyed it! Kids loved the pool..warm and relaxing. Shuttle service to and from the parks was great! Beds were really small for my 6 3 250 lb husband. Lots of teens running around. Which wasn't bad but they didn't care about being quiet after 10. Food was good. Friendly workers as well.

I had a great time at the All-Star and will definitely return! I was first concerned that staying on property would be too costly for us. But (I'm a budget analyst by trade) in an overall cost analysis, it's actually cheaper to stay at the All-Star resorts than at the bug-infested hotels in the area! When you account for the free transportation, it breaks even. What can't be quantified by cost, is the relaxation of knowing everything is taken care of. The room itself was roomy, immaculate, and quiet (even with the highschool students on spring break!). It served as a perfect place to come back for lunch or rest our heads at night. Probably the best part was our ability to go back to the hotel around lunch. Magic Kingdom is open until 1am every night, so we needed to recharge to take advantage of 3 kid-free hours with no lines on rides! At mid-day, the pool was happily crowded with random kids playing together and making friends.

Pro's: Quiet, incredibly stress-free transportation, the ability to go back to the hotel for a nap, cheaper than gross Orlando hotels, clean, kid-friendly, cheap food in the food court

Con's: books up fast during popular times, long (~20 minute) bus ride to Magic Kingdom - but a short ride to Epcot, not a romantic getaway because of the Disney cheesy decorations

The All Star Sports Resort is a good choice if you are on a budget but be prepared to spend time instead of money. It is far, via bus, to all the Disney attractions and we did find ourselves waiting a while for buses to and from. Food court does the job for meals and the pool area is very nice. Our room was in the basketball building and quiet. We were set back in trees and away from the noise of the pool and activity areas. Rooms are small, but basically you are never in them. Not up to date in terms of decor, but very clean with the basics. I would ask when making reservations if there are large groups/teams staying at the hotel. We were surrounded by cheerleaders and dancers that took over the pool and chairs and added to the long lines for the bus. This hotel is popular with groups at WDW for competitions and tournaments. I'm sure all this action could be disruptive to a family, but we were hardly at the hotel. We would stay there again for the value.

My family and I visited Disney in May of 09. Stayed at the All Star Sports. We have only stayed at the All Star Movies before so we didn't have much to compare to but as with anything else in Disney we weren't disappointed! The room was always clean and the staff was very pleasant, friendly, and helpful.

We wish the pool bar would remain open a little longer since it closes at midnight and sometimes we like to sit at the bar after coming back from the parks and enjoy a few drinks while the kids swim in the nearby pool. It's a relaxing way to end a magical day!

We have already booked our next trip for August 2010. Staying at Pop Century this time, can't wait!!
