On our second trip to Disney, we chose the All Star Sports resort. The atmosphere is nice and the price was good for Disney. The cafeteria seemed to close, which the one at Pop Century did not while we were there. The room was no frills but comfortable enough.

We spent two days at the Disney all star sports complex during the Disney marathon weekend.
It is a basic motel with simple amenities on the property.
Food choices are limited but the crew at the pool entertain the children with gusto.
Fortunately the weather was perfect and we were able to soak up a lot of sunshine before leaving on Sunday.
Perhaps this resort could do with a little updating and attention to detail, but it was a reasonable value for the price.

Room Tip: Upgrade to the rooms near the pool for a shorter walk to the pool and restaurant.

We booked this resort for the 2013 Disney Marathon. We had a poolside room which had a great view of the pool and was SO worth it being so close to the lobby/restaurant/pool (building 6). We could hear the pool at night (which is open until midnight, but quiet hours after 10), however, we were still easily able to fall asleep (even at 8pm when it was noisy, since we had to wake up at 2:30 am for the marathon) and we thought the proximity to the food court was worth the noise. We bought the $16 cups that are refillable at the cafeteria and we definitely got our money worth. The cafeteria even opened at 3am before the races so that we could get coffee first thing (for free in our refillable cups!).

The buses to the marathon were perfect! We left our room at 3am and were able to walk right onto a bus. So impressed with the logistics for the marathon. Afterwards, the sports resort was the first drop off as well.

The rooms weren't luxury and they were a tad small, but the beds were comfortable, the showers worked and it was everything we needed for the best price at Disney. The TV channels are extremely lacking, but hey, you are vacation, so why are you watching TV? :) They also had poolside entertainment (like games and dancing for the kids) all afternoon and played movies at the pool at night. The bar at the pool had slow service, but the Banana Cabanas were absolutely delicious!

If we return for the marathon again, I would definitely book this resort again.

Oh, and definitely use online check in. The line for check in took FOREVER.

Room Tip: Noisy by the pool (building 6), but so worth it to be close to the cafeteria/pool/buses.

We basically used this as a base to explore the disney parks. The shuttle buses were brilliant and came very often. Would advise getting the refillable drinks cup- we bought one between the two of us for our five night stay (it is valid the whole time you are there!) and definitely got our money's worth from it.
The rooms are basic (as expected), however they have no tea/coffee facilities but do have a little fridge. With the refillable mug you can get as much tea/coffee as you like from the centre until midnight.
There was a big pool which was well maintained and manned.
The washing facilities were useful and not overly expensive.
Would stay here again.

I recently stayed here for two nights with my daughter and her husband and 2 year old son. The room was recently refurbished with fresh paint and carpet. There were two double beds, a small dinning table with two chairs, safe and frig. There was not a coffee maker or microwave in the room. We had requested a babybed when we made our reservation. It wasn't in the room when we got there so I called the desk and they told me I had to request it when I checked in at the desk. They sent it to the room within the hour. They had a wadding pool that my grandson loved. There is a large dinning area with some limited food choices.

Room Tip: You can choose the wing of the hotel such as football which is near both pools.

This was my first stay at this resort (4th visit to Disney World). It is a value Disney hotel, and I did not expect anything except a clean room to sleep, but that may have changed. It is a more or less run down looking hotel room. Amenities were less than basic. It had an older TV and fridge that wouldn't close in the room (no coffee maker). The bed cover had signs of wear and stain. The towels had holes and were very thin. The room had a smell of it being old? The air conditioner is annoying as it starts and shuts too frequently. However, I did notice that the level of cleanliness was not what it used to be. It is like a motel with a Disney sign on it. I think I will choose a moderate or luxury resort next time or stay outside Disney. They should do some upgrade to this resort. When you point out that there are flies in the room, bigger than fruit flies. They supply one shampoo/soap for a family of 4. The bathtub was not draining, it was collecting water. When you call the front desk about this, nothing really gets done. They just repeat "Have a Magical Day" regardless of what you have raised as concerns as this will make everything go away. This is a bit annoying to listen to them repeat like a parrot when issues are identified and nothing is resolved. They now have free internet access but at turtle speed (message to Disney: spend a couple of more bucks and upgrade your internet system). I like the fact that parking is free but far from the rooms. We were there from Dec 28 to 31, 2012.

The state and federal government tourist charges? It is surprising that with the amount of tourism coming to Walt Disney, the state of Florida and Government of USA seemed to be charging tourism fees that total $20 plus dollars tourist fees, you are not making enough with people spending money and staying in Florida and USA, you need to make them pay more? You are nickel and diming your tourists.

Travelled here in August 2012 with my 11 year old son for 10 days. We got picked up from the airport by a Disney coach straight to our chosen resort. Great value for money the room was clean and tidy with loads of room for the two of us. Bathroom a bit on the small side, I think that a family of 4 may have struggled a bit.
Resort was good, with a good selection of food to eat from the food court, as long as you're not looking for anything too fancy. We did book a table at Planet Hollywood in Downtown Disney, but be warned you may need to book a few days in advance as it get VERY busy.
Transportation to the parks is great from here, the Disney buses come along every few minutes and take you straight to the park gates, and all included in your hotel costs. We managed the whole trip without having to hire a car. Any extra trips we took to places like Kennedy Space Centre could be booked at the front desk, the prices were quite reasonable.
Over all a great holiday, would use the Disney all Star resorts again.
Can,t wait to go back, but next time we'll do Universal.

Room Tip: There are 2 main pools in the resort , all rooms are quite close to both however the main pool near...
