“Best Meal of the week”
Reviewed May 2, 2013

We found this restaurant and hit it the night before we left. Our server was very nice she accomadated our group with 5 baskets of fresh hot garlic bread. After a week of eating park food and chain restaurant food, this was like being in moms kitchen. The flavors were spot on. The wine was delish and the prices were reasonable. We even met the owner as we were leaving. A real treasure. We would definately go back if we come back. Delishimo!!

“Crystalicious”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

Quaint family restaurant, in the heart or a busy shooping center. Food was quite good, reasonable and a wide full Italian selection. We had the thin crust pizzas, margarita was great, and bolognese pasta; all quite tasty. Best of all was, the pleasant and helpful waitress, Crystal. She seems to enjoy her job and the kids loved her.

“Every visit to Orlando”
Reviewed March 4, 2013 via mobile

We have been frequenting Fama's for years. The pizza is great but we prefer the take out version. The restaurant has been a work in progress for years, but they seemed to have steeped it up a notch recently. Your visit can be a little rough around the edges, but the food is well prepared.

“We will be back, oh, wait, we did go back, 4 times!”
Reviewed February 14, 2013

We were spending four weeks in January and February in Orlando. I found this restaurant (on Tripadvisor, thanks, Tripadvisor!) It was in a strip mall not far from our time share. We were shopping at the Publix and decided to try it because of all the great reviews.

We are originally from Upstate NY, a small town with great Italian food, and this place met every expectation possible. My husband had the steak Gorgonzola, we had spaghetti and meatballs, pesto chicken ravioli and pizza. They were all incredible. The servings were so big we were able to make lunch out of the leftovers the next day.

The wine selection was very nice, and very reasonable.

If we had one suggestion, it would be to serve regular coffee and offer decaf selections. They serve very good espresso and cappuccino, but no decaf.

One last note, the cannoli are great and Krystal was an awesome server.

(We later went to an extremely upscale Italian restaurant, also in Orlando. The food was incredibly expensive and was in no way better than what we ate at Famas, nor was the service.)

“Authentic Italian near Theme parks”
Reviewed February 14, 2013

Authentic, delicious Italian food at reasonable prices! Do not be put off by the shopping center location. I am from NY and Italian-by-marriage, and Grandma would have been proud of the meatballs. I had spaghetti with clams, and they were fresh and the serving was generous. Desserts were homemade and delicious. I would love to go back before my vacation is over. MUCH better than the food at chains or that big theme park over there.
