“It's o.k.”
Reviewed March 18, 2012

This restaurant has some very nice touches. The maitre d' was superb, the wine glasses were examined for cleanliness by torchlight, the prices on the wine list did not take liberties, the bread was good and we were given a dish of crudities to nibble on while the food arrived. I thought the restaurant looked very stylish and there was a good atmosphere. The server was good. To be honest, though, the food was not outstanding. The crab I had as a first course lacked flavour and the sauce did not hit the spot. My friend had lobster bisque; he asked for a bowl but got a cup. My lobster tail was exactly as I expected for the price. My friend had salmon; while not bad, it certainly wasn't good. (I tried a forkful and found it overcooked and dry). If the food matched the decor it would be great, but given the price paid I can only rate this place as average.

“Expensive, food and service good, wine very good, atmosphere so-so”
Reviewed March 18, 2012

When a plate of spinach costs $9.95 you know this won't be a cheap meal. Indeed, simply grilled Chilean sea bass cost $38.95 for a small portion. However, the menu (available online) is updated daily and all the fish we ate was fresh.

The wine list, also on-line has a good selection of mostly US wines, and there are more than 30 available by the glass including seven chardonnays.

Our service was knowledgeable and professional. We sat outside on a lovely March evening in preference to the rather dismal interior; however, as the restaurant is on a busy street corner, peaceful it is not.

In all, reasonable value.

“Great Service and stellar food”
Reviewed March 3, 2012

IN the hustle and bustle of I drive in Orlando, the Oceanaire was selected as our destination the first night in Orlando. I have seen this in other cities but this was my first time to give it a try. The Oceanaire was the place to be, lots of activity and lots of happy people which is always a good sign.
The service was first class and very attentive, despite a computer hiccup they did not lose their cool and kept things moving. The food from start to finish was great. I had the black and blue scallops and they were so good I would not share. If your in Orlando and want seafood despite the crowds this is the place to go.
