“FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!”
Reviewed December 31, 2013

Complete false advertisement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DON'T STAY HERE! Stayed here while in town for a bowl game. The place is in the middle of the ghetto! There's boarded up buildings and hookers for miles! We witnessed multiple drug deals while driving around. We had hoped that since this was a "resort" that there would be local attractions within walking distance. There was nothing but abandoned, old buildings for miles and we were advised by a local police officer to NOT walk the streets because we may be confused for a hooker or drug dealer. There were TONS of homeless people. The hotel has barbed wire fence that the homeless people were climbing over to get on to the property while we were there. The room has no microwave nor fridge so we left for 2 hours after checking in and returned to being locked out of our room. We were accused of overstaying our reservation when we asked for the keys to be reissued. The rooms have NO AIR CONDITIONING. We tried to open a window, but they don't open. We propped the door open and had 6 men standing in our doorway gawking. We had to close the door and suffer in the heat and odor of the room. We opened the blinds to let light in and were treated like an exotic animal display as men lined up in front of the window to stare. Closing the blinds helped little as they wouldn't close all the way. The men would line up to peek in the slither of window that was uncovered by the blinds. We ended up taping the blinds to the window frame. The first room we were given had dirty foot prints on the bathroom tile still. We asked for and were given a new room. Both rooms had strong odors. No surfaces were without stains or cigarette burns. The bedspreads look like someone vomited a Hawaiian shirt on the bed. I wore white socks for one hour and my soles were black. Forget free Wi-Fi here! They charge $2 per hour for the internet. You also have to pay for ice IF the ice machines work. 2 ice machines were on the map for the resort, but one location had no machine and the other location had a broken machine. We had to break into the maid station to get ice. The maids were friendly though. If they have an event then you aren't able to access any of the amenities. We were charged admission to get to the pool, cafe, or lounge even though it was supposed to be included with our room. There's loud music nightly around the pool so if you are hoping to sleep, go elsewhere. Overall, the experience was terrible! I would NEVER recommend this location to ANYONE! Worst hotel I have EVER stayed at. Nothing "premier" or "resort"-like about it!!!!!!!!!

Rooms in extreme need of refurbishment, but cheap. Attached to huge and fun gay bar.
The rooms are noisy so don't expect to go bed before 2AM with the loud disco bumping all night.
Cruisy property, go figure.
Rooms are not dirty, but have very worn carpets, drapes, bathtubs, tv's etc. Looks like it has not been touched in 30 years. Several things like sockets and lights needed repairs. No wifi.

Room Tip: If you want to sleep rather than dance, ask for a room facing the parking lot. The rooms facing the...

We knew this place wasn't great before we checked in but I didn't want to have to drive in the evening so it seemed like the only option for one night. I wish we hadn't bothered. It's $66 plus tax and then $15 for wifi on top. The zircon blows constantly and is shared with 4 rooms so we had no way of turning it off for a quiet night's sleep. The bathroom was ancient pink tiling and grotty fittings. The only nice thing was a comfy bed.
The rooms have floor to ceiling glazing looking over the courtyard area. Guys come along and stare in at you wanting to join in I guess. So we had to have the curtains completely closed all the time. Perhaps if you want sleaze you will enjoy this place. Otherwise go and stay near Universal Studios - only 10 mins drive from gay bars and much much better for similar money.

Room Tip: They all looked the same, awful...

the clothing optional is at the beach and around the pool and also in your room but I enjoyed myself immensely. Met a few nice friends, enjoyed the pool naked and also the beach. Room could have been better, probably needs to be refurbished but had an enjoyable time

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the rear near the beach quiet and somewhat secluded. will go there again

The prices are right, the staff eager to help and there is something for (almost) everyone!
Yes, it's in need of a face lift, buth staff work hard to keep it clean. The PHouse suffered thru the economic downturn but maintains a consistent product! We bought two weeks at the Gardens time share next door and always look forward to our visit!

This place has such poor reviews here but I stayed there for the Miss USofA pageant in Oct and it was a blast. If you are used to 4 star, you're gonna be let down, but if you know how to over look the age of the place and see it for what it is then you're gonna have a Blast. There are grounds keepers that are always out sweeping or cleaning, maid staff and house keeping, and if your room smells like smoke, then buy a Glade Candle and light that thing.... Pool was warm and the guys were hot. Restaurant on site with handsome waiters... Hello to Caesar and Kris and all the others! See you next Oct! James!

I did write last year about this being a decent place to spend the weekend, but this last weekend we stayed for a friends birthday weekend. We had room 123. I have to say, this quality here has gone down. The room smelled "sour" and we could hear and smell the weed coming through the air vents from another room. There were cigarette butts in the tub, and we don't smoke.

The cover charges and drink prices here are on the high side. I don't understand why the owners of this place don't reinvest on improving the hotel rooms, I mean seriously. You want to attract customers to stay and spend money, Why would people looking for a nice weekend settle for this.

Anyway, for the price you could get a much better hotel.
