We have just returned from a week stay at the Vista Cay.This resort was beautiful. We were upgraded to a 3 bedroom townhouse on arrival. The house was beautifully clean and spacious.Could not fault anything about the resort. We have been to Orlando many times before and always stayed in a villa however got a great deal with this resort and decided to take it!
Swimming pool area excellent with the advantage of a hot tub.
Would certainly return to this resort before going back to a villa.

Our stay was 10 days in January of 2013. We booked directly via millennium's website. We are a family with 3 kids, and Grandma was also joining us for a few days, so the three bedroom apartment was perfect for us.
The Good-
Three bedrooms, 2 full baths, a full kitchen, and your very own laundry room is fantastic when you are traveling with a large family, especially with young children. Doing a load of laundry everyday didn't feel like work- it actually made life much easier.

The upgraded "luxury" apartment is very spacious. Even with 6 of us it never felt like we were on top of each other all the time.

The kitchen was in excellent condition.

Price was a great value for the space and a fully functional apartment.

Things you should know-
Yes, I agree with those that say you need a car.

Publix is right next door- very convenient.

If you are like me and tend to read all of the hotel literature when you book you should have no surprises. But in case you don't- This is NOT a hotel. You're renting an apartment. There is no maid service (unless you pay for it), and no they will not replace your empty toilet paper or soap. I actually liked this arrangement- especially for the price. Also know that because it is not a hotel, complaints don't necessarily get met with much response. Our complaint about a filthy carpet was met with "we'll let the owners know." However a serious issue with ants was dealt with very swiftly.

We never got to the pool so I can't comment on it.

I agree with people saying much of the furniture is worn- in both apartments we stayed in the dresser drawers seemed to be hanging on by sheer will. But that was okay, because we had plenty of closet space with shelving for our things.

The bad- unfortunately!
Dirty carpets, dirty carpets, seriously what bizarre disease are my kids going to get from these filthy carpets. If you read my other reviews, this is a pet peeve of mine. (thank you Waldorf Astoria Orlando- cleanest carpets ever!) Our first apartment had really gross carpeting and a musty smell, that honestly if they rip that nastiness out and install tile flooring would disappear. Three days into our stay we were moved to another apartment due to our master bedroom being invaded by ants. (Not really something I blame management for, there were workers painting the outside and it seemed that's what drove the ants inside. Management moved us right away.) Our second apartment had much cleaner carpeting- and no musty smell! I much preferred our second apartment over our first. Maybe I should be thanking the ants for waking me at 1 am by biting me.... This does make me wonder if there is a wide variation in quality based on the unit you happen to get. If I could get that second place again I would not hesitate to return. The first place...not so much.

Also at this price point know that a lot of people can afford to stay here. Including the loud college students staying in the apartment above you that come back after the bars close making all kinds of noise. Honestly it wasn't horrible because it always seemed to get quiet within an hour of their return, but it is something to be aware of- especially if you are used to upscale travel where this is less if an issue.

I give my "very good" rating based on the second apartment and the price we paid (~$188 per night.) The first apartment would lose a star for filthy carpets.

We were looking for room to relax for a family of 4- 2 large teenage boys- a bit of room to spread out was important since we would be here for a week. After looking @ a few suite hotels, I happened across this property. It was competitively priced and seemed too good to be true! I read a few reviews, and decided on it. I received a military rate- which upgraded our accommodations to 3 bdrm and reduced our cost- incredible thank you for that! We were blown away by the spaciousness and quality of our accommodations, even the wifi was fast. We used the pool area extensively, and overall have no complaint whatsoever. We will use this as our base for any and every future trip to Orlando.

Room Tip: seems like a bit of "luck of the draw" you are assigned a condo upon arrival.

We have just checked out of Vista Cay and all I can say is that it was and OUTSTANDING place to stay. I have never experienced such a great example of cost benefit. We stayed in a two bed premium and premium is what it was. Everything we needed was available and the property and room was in brand new condition. My eight year old was most impressed with four flat screen TVs in the suite including a 50 inch one in the living area. DVD player, laundry facilities super comfortable beds....... I could go on! Clean, quiet, apartments with full kitchen are welcome. A car is a must. Watch for hidden fees though. According to VistaCay website, there is a one time $75 cleaning fee for stays of less than 4 nights. However, if you book through Kayak you will be funneled through GetaRoom and you will be charged a $75 cleaning fee for stays of 5 nights or less. There is also a 'resort' fee. Bottom line - you may end up paying over $100 more than the Kayak website promises.

Thank you for your review during your recent stay.
We take our customers comments very serious and we wanted to address your concerns on our response; there are NO Hidden Fees as you indicate; as a Condo Vacation Resort, and different to a typical small hotel room, we have a mandatory one time Departure Cleaning Fee of $75.00; due to the sheer size of our condo suites, ranging from 1,300 to 2,300 Sq. FT of living space, so we have to pay for the cost of cleaning the unit at the guest departure, in order to have this unit ready for the next guest arriving. Cleaning these units takes about 4 Hours, as you have 2 # 3 Bedroom / 2 # 3.5 Baths plus Full Kitchens, Living /Dining Rooms etc. Every single company that we work with as well as our own web site clearly displays this cost, based on their length of stay, so the guest that reads the policies including fees should be able to know exactly this information prior to making a reservation.
Reading carefully all resort policies for those not familiar with a self-Catering Condo Vacation Resort prior to booking the reservation, will prevent any customer having any incorrect information or misunderstandings during their stay

On arrival, disappointed with location of our apartment (West Side) within the Cay Vista Resort, not being close to mains amenities with young family.
A prearranged ''fridge pack'' was awry on arrival at the apartment. After some puzzlement and delay at reception, later informed of four carrier bags of basic groceries for collection at reception.
On seeing our apartment, requested we be moved closer to the main amenities.
Told to wait a couple of days to see what might be available.
After three further request to main reception and travel representative, remained in our original apartment for the fortnight!
There was little endeavour from staff to keep us informed, and or to assistance us to understand operation of appliances within the apartment. Limitied to ''Information should be in information book'' or ''Simple to operate''.The later not the case with the air con, which we had the additional pleasure of the cooling unit for the whole block by our bathroom window, which continued through the night.
Our only view from the ground floor terrace, consisted of a large shrub with the cars and car park beyond.
The stay we had at the Cay Visita Resort was the only low point to our otherwise Super holiday in Orlando and all it has to offer.

We are in receipt of your review during your recent stay at the resort.
We have reviewed the information you indicated, and we have concluded that you probably booked your reservation with another company that does not operate at the resort.
We do not offer any Pre-Arranged "Freeze Packs" and/or delivery at arrival, so I can see why at the reception they would have been confused, as we do not offer this service. There are other companies that do market condos also here at the resort, although these do not operate right here at the resort; Millenium Management is the only one that has a full operation 24/7 here at the resort, giving our customers the advantage that if have any issues, these can be addressed here right away.
We strive very hard to deliver excellent customer service, and we hope that you will consider booking with Millenium Management next time, and give us the opportunity to service you personally here at the resort.
Thank you

Just checked out of Vista Cay Resort today. A beautiful place, excellent location, very quiet and comfortable. Grounds and building are very well maintained. We made the comment that everything was so clean. We couldn't figure out how the stainless steel in the elevator never had a smudge anywhere. That is just how well maintained the place is. They have a large, hard working staff that are always taking pride in the appearance. The resort is very close to everything. International drive, Seaworld, Aquatica, Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure etc... Also a short drive to Disney. Beautiful, huge pool area. The only thing I would liked to have seen would be gas grills to use. I love to BBQ when on vacation. We have visited Florida many times and always stay in condo's when doing so. We have no reservation in stating that our condo was the nicest one we have ever visited. We rented from Daisy, VRBO 204725. She is on the lake side with a view of Seaworld and Orange County Convention center. Three bedrooms and huge. Millennium management was also very easy, professional and efficient to deal with.
