Not quite the shopping experience that I had expected from Universal. I was surprised that we had to pay to enter the shopping area - a parking fee. This was because the shopping area is adjacent to the two theme parks - similar to Disneyland/California Adventures/MarketPlace.

The stores were not that different from those in the local malls. Even some of the merchandise was the same. There were a couple nice restaurants: Margaritaville, Bubba Gumps, and Nascar among others. We stopped in a few of the stores and walked around until our feet hurt, then we stopped by the river area and found some shade. The seating was hard wooden chairs and tables, nothing that would invite you to kick up your feet and rest.

We didn't spend nearly as much time or money here as we have done in the Disney MarketPlace. It is just a venue to get you to the parks, not a true destination area.

You don't have to pay park prices to get in. Several upscale establishments, some shopping. The scenery is very nice, you can see areas of both parks.

My wife and I visited CityWalk and it had a lot of interesting attractions and tons of nice places to eat. Overall a good time.

I'll be short and to the point. OUTRAGEOUS parking fees, LONG walk, POOR food choices (with the exception of Emeril's), AVERAGE shopping, MILLIONS of people to fight through the crowds. Not fun. Not fun at all.

We visited whilst on our honeymoon in October, we actually stumbled upon it when just looking for the NBA city restaurant. This place is absolutely amazing especially seeing as you don't pay an entrance fee. After 6pm the parking is $5 in the multi-storey and you can park until about 3am or something similar as most bars are open until 2am. There's a huge range of restaurants bars, clubs, shops etc and a great atmosphere. We loved just walking around looking at everything! The staff were really friendly and just wanted you to have a great time, a brilliant place for adults and families!
