My hubby and I have been staying at the BHBR for years now (our most recent stay this past week to celebrate our 30th Anniversary) and it has been and will continue to be OUT ONLY HOTEL OF CHOICE in the LBV/Disney/Orlando area. It is perfect!! The hotel is made up of two towers of huge, beautiful, well-furnished, well-maintained suites with all you'd ever need (including full, glorious kitchens!), has a price that can't be beat, AND, a has BREATHTAKING VIEW that overlooks Disney (the fireworks are AMAZING) - we just CAN'T IMAGINE WHY someone would go anywhere else!! There are 3 pools, a hot tub, boardwalks, a boat dock, and a GORGEOUS VIEW of sunrise over beautiful Lake Bryan! And there's even tropical landscaping to boot! We don't make our statements about our preference for BHBR without facts since we're able to compare BHBR to our previous stays in past years at many Disney hotels (including both Port Orleans properties, Coronado Springs, and the Polynesian Resort), ALL of the LBV Hotel Blvd. properties, as well as places like World Quest, Rosen Shingle Creek/Center/Plaza, The Peabody (now Hyatt), Marriott World Center, and Doubletree. BHBR wins, hands down, in our book every single time!! So, PLEASE, if you plan to visit the Orlando/Disney area, TRY the Blue Heron Beach Resort, you WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!! It is perfect for anyone of any age, and a family of any size!! ENJOY!!

Wow what a beautiful resort. We had an excellent one bedroom unit on the first floor - even the first floor had great views of the pool and lake!! The kichen and living area were well maintained and very modern! We had ALL appliances including dishwasher, washing machine, toaster, coffeemaker etc... it was better than home. Four tvs were in the unit and even located in the bunk beds. The washrooms were very large and updated - not to mention spotless!! The hotel lost a few points for water pressure in the showers and from the loud hallways (Mainly because of the wind slamming doors.) The pool was also very clean and large, although the lounge chairs could go - NOT comfortable and very finicky. Overall a wonderful stay at a great price - will definitely return! Only about 5min drive to Downtown Disney, the Premium Outlets and grocery stores. There is a shuttle that runs to Disney World but times are limited.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with the TripAdvisor community. We truly appreciate your comments regarding the amazing value you received during your stay with us. It is fantastic to hear that our suites were comfortable and enjoyable for you.

I am sorry the pool chairs were not as comfortable as your would like. As for the noise, it is unfortunate at times that other guests forget they have neighbors! I do hope this was not too inconvenient for you. I do hope you reported the water pressure issues. Generally if this were to happen when we have a full hotel it can happen on the higher floors19-and above. It is unusual for the 1st floor. Thank you for letting us know.

Thank you once again for recommending us and we look forward to your next visit to our resort!

We chose BHBR to save $$ from WDW and the small accomodations given there. There were 5 of us and we were pleased to have room 901, an end unit with two large balconies. One facing the lake witih nice sunrise views and the other with balcony views of Epcot nightly fireworks. The unit was clean and up to my standards. The furnishings were def. outdated, but for the rate, we could deal with that. Marco owns the consierge desk and was over the top helpful especially when I tried to assemble my mom's electric cart. HE came in on his day off, early to help me figure out assembly and fitting it into my trunk. Pool and property was clean. I would stay here with my family again to visit Orlando attractions.

Room Tip: room 901 was clean, out dated furnishings, but nice balconies, one for sunrise one for Epcot firewor...

This is a very difficult hotel to review accurately as there isn't anything wrong with the rooms or service its just the location that lets it down a bit and a few little issues. I certainly can't see how anyone can give this hotel a bad review as It is excellent value for money and they deserve a good review for the service and effort put into keeping the place clean.

Good points
Lovely location a lake
The rooms are modern ,spacious and clean with great views.
The pool is nice and big and there is beautiful decking that goes into the lake ,very nice to sit and relax on.
Hotel staff are very helpful and they do provide a free shuttle service to some of the parks.
Half decent gym available to work out in
Close to quite a few shops but not all that easy to get to

Bad Points

Hotel exterior looks dated and in need of fresh paint, it lets it down a lot as the rooms are lovely inside
The swimming pool has the same songs played over and over everyday ,we really started to get annoyed with hearing cheap cover versions of the same songs all the time, we actually went to the lake at times just to avoid hearing the music which is never swtiched off or turned down.
(most important) If you don't have a car, the location is annoyingly just a bit too far away from the main international drive attractions. A shuttle service is provided but its at set times and the return times are always late in the evening and they sometimes don't turn up. There are shops close to the hotel but if you want to venture out anywhere else you have to get a taxi or walk 33 mins to the nearest bus stop ( the i ride bus which takes you up international drive) I would seriously recommend buying a cheap bicycle to get around.

Overall its a nice hotel which does everything right but the location isn't ideal.

Room Tip: Try to stay around the 10th floor (there's 21 in tower2) as the view is just as good and it save...

We appreciate you taking the time to provide your feedback. We would like to thank you
for staying with us. It is great to know that you enjoyed our suites and the great views! We are thrilled to hear you enjoyed the pool and lakeside views.

It is always our goal to provide great service for our guest for all the services we provide. I am sorry the complimentary shuttle did not meet your expectations. We do hope to better increase the service in the future. Orlando is one of the least expensive places to rent a vehicle. It may help to allow for more flexibility in the future.

I will let the management company who handles the exterior of the resort regarding the continuous music at the pool as well as the exterior paint.

We are dedicated to ensuring all of our guests have a great experience with us, and hope that you will give us another opportunity to serve you.

My family and I love this place. We were very surprised that this hotel was actually the real deal. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were clean spacious. We loved our view, the location is great. The kitchen was really nice with the granite. The bathtub was cool with the jets. The pool is huge and clean, we got lucky because not too many people were in the pool when we were in. so looking forward to visiting again. Keep up the good work!

I am staying in this resort for 2 weeks. There were 2 issues: Distance and the shuttle services by Orlando All Trans. Firstly, it was definitely a misrepresentation by quoting the distance as 'less than a mile from Disney" in the advertisement by the owner. I am now within the apartment and my GPS measured Epcot parking area and Disney Magic Kingdom to be 10km and 16km away from the resort respectively. Secondly, I was shocked by the internal communications within Orlando All Trans employees and drivers. On one occasion, my family of 4 had to wait out at Epcot pick up point for another shuttle in the cold night as they were unable to fetch us back in the bus which was full. On the second incident which was today 19-May, we were told to wait for another vehicle to Sea World in the morning despite the fact that we had followed the reservation guidelines (reserve before 10pm the night before and collect tickets 10mins before departure). When the backup vehicle arrived more than 15mins later, the driver told us that she was here to pick up 4 passengers but she did not know to where. There should also be later timings to cater to guests who would like to stay for fireworks at the parks. I suggest the resort to re-consider engaging the shuttle services from this company.

Thank you for your comments. I would like to apologize for your experience during your recent stay with us. I will surely share your notes with the shuttle company this morning, and will ensure all concerns have been addressed.

I am sorry a Blue Heron owner had incorrect information on their website. I will let the owners know the correct information so they can change their websites.

Our guest feedback is usually very good, and my staff and I take all guest comments to heart. We are dedicated to ensuring all of our guests have a great experience with us, and hope that you will give us another opportunity to serve you.

This was our 2nd stay here. We reserved one of the Disney Suites in Tower 2. It was a 2 bedroom/2 bath room which also had bunkbeds built into the hall. Fully equipped kitchen and washer/dryer. This is the perfect room! We stayed for 7 nights and went to 6 parks in 6 days. We did 1 park per day from open to close. It was fabulous to come home to the room and be able to prepare quick meals and do laundry. The room had 2 balconies---one that faced the pool and lake and the other faced Disney. You can see the fireworks from Epcot at night!!

If a Disney view is important to you, be sure to speak with Angela Friess, Guest Services Manager. Ask for a room at least 12 stories up. (we were on 17th floor and it was fantastic) Angela is one of the most helpful, friendly persons I have ever met. She works hard to make sure your stay is everything you could hope for!!
