Lovely atmosphere, very relaxed atmosphere and good homely food. Lots to look at while waiting for food to be prepared, including sauces and marinades etc to buy.

After reading various restaurant reviews, we decided Yellow Dog seemed like a good choice for an informal supper. Once we found it, we loved it! The interior is funky and charming. After ordering our meal, we waited at a table upstairs. What a great mix of people. What appeared to be two business men were at one table, at another sat a pair of tattoo covered artisans (in deep conversation) and at another rather large table sat a group of older ladies, who we found out we in the middle of their weekly book club. Atmosphere abounds.... They called our name when the food was ready and it didn't disappoint. The men at our table agreed that the pulled pork sandwiches were by far the best the had ever had. My son and I both agreed to try the peanut butter, banana and fluff spread sandwich (something that as a child I probably wouldn't have been allowed to order) and it was wonderful. I'll admit I couldn't eat it everyday, but everyone should try this sandwich at least once in their lifetime! In a nutshell, if you are looking for a great casual dining establishment with great staff and obviously great care being put into the menu... then Yellow Dog Eats is the place to go!!

From the moment you pull into the parking lot, you are greeted by the smell of BBQ and free range chickens. The parking lot is the only negative as its small and is packed during busy times. However it's worth the fight for a parking space. They have a variety of pulled pork sandwiches that are mouth watering! They create unique combinations to make a one of a kind pulled pork sandwiches. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The environment is very laid back and people have brought pictures of their dogs to staple to the walls. There is a section of wines/beers and delicious desserts. We loved this place and wished there was one in our home state.

We drove out of our way to come here based trip.advisor reviews. Guess I should have listened to the previous user who said they shouldn't have driven that far out of town. Don't get me wrong, the food was good. It wasn't really a bad experience, it just wasn't what I expected. The pictures do not accurately portray how small this place really is. Plus its crowded and you have to pick up your own plates. The combination of lots of people carrying multiple plates and drinks through a small house is not fun. There is nothing on the menu for kids, at all. Overall decent experience but be warned this is one of those cutsey, trendy places where the college crowd belongs.
