Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa
Ranked #91 of 341 Hotels in Orlando
Reviewed October 13, 2013

Just returned from a stay in the Disney area. Booked this place when my first choice where I usually stay was booked solid. Glad it was! Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa was much cheaper and just as nice. I requested a room with a balcony from which I see the fireworks and that is exactly what we had. Check in was very smooth and they were very nice from the moment I walked in. I was able to arrange for FREE shuttle transportation to the parks, however we drove the first day and it was a very short drive. Resort is only about a four mile drive to the parks. We stayed in a two bedroom, two bathroom unit. It was very clean. Fully loaded kitchen so we could make breakfast and late night snacks. Some reviews I saw complained about the 'dated furniture.' Well yes, the living room furniture could be in better condition but reality be said, I do not go to hotels to hang out in the room.... The bedroom furniture was Tommy Bahama style and very nice. Master bedroom had a great Jacuzzi. Both rooms were very comfortable no complaints. the pool area was beautiful. The Irish restaurant on the grounds had great food and great service. There is a little convenience store that sells anything and everything you could possibly need. Our balcony had a perfect view of the fireworks at night and a gorgeous sunset each evening. Absolutely loved it and we will be returning to this resort next time we return to Orlando. So glad my first choice was booked!

Room Tip: Ask for a room where you can view the fireworks. You can sit on your balcony and watch the firework...

Went to a convention on a Disney property but didn't want to pay their rates. Found this jewel of a hotel when searching hotels near Disney. We had a 2 bedroom, two bath apartment with a fully equipped kitchen and room to spread out. It is just down the road from Disney and all the action at Downtown Disney. Will definitely stay here again.

Loved our trip to LBV hotel for our honeymoon. The rooms are like apartments which was great with the kitchen and the huge master bedroom with hot tub bath. Staff are great and helpful, aswell as the therapists are lovely. Swimming pools are beautiful. Its also in great location for the outlet mall which is steps away. Thought breakfast could of been a little better by having abit more of a selection. Transfers to the parks were great as picked us up outside the main hotel building also the bus drivers are great especially Fred Holly. Would deffo reccomend people to visit here. Once again thanks LBV resort!!!

we stayed from 26th sept to oct 09 2013 in a room on 10th floor block 5 with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

everything you need i will list as washing machine and tumble dryer iron and board.microwave cooker and large fridgefreezer with ice maker 2 hairdryers 2 toilets 1 jacuzi bath 1 walk in shower 1 over bath all dishes and crockery lounge not big enough for 8 people but we did not spend much time here . small balcony with table and chairs do not pay extra for fireworks view as you only see them in the distance.we had the suite cleaned once by maids which you have to pay for 25 dollars otherwise we washed towels and did ask for more as there was not enough . they sent up 10 more so we had plenty iff you pay for cleaning they change beds do a dish wash and leave clean towels anyway. underneath our building was the garage it was never full plenty of space there are 4 lifts and a taxi can come to the back entrance of the lift.

staff we only dealt with 3 people front desk guest relations and a bus driver all gave us all information we needed the hotel was kept clean and i would rate it as 3 star as they do not go out of their way to help eg no luggage to your room we were told to grab a porters trolley and do it ourselves this is not 4 star. also no one gave us info how things worked in our room it was just pot luck, saying that we did manage.the corridors of the hotel are carpeted so no noise we were on 10th floor it was very quiet to sleep unless there was no one else there we did not see anybody untill last day when we knocked a door to hand ovr leftover food ect.

disney
a nightmare to get get back from for us it took 30 dollars a day iff we stayed out from morning to night otherwise it took 60 dollars a day as the service that the hotel runs to the parks did not suit us it leaves to disney at 0855 and returns at 1825 i think we would have liked to come back about 1630 and get ready to go out for a meal but we had to pay for a taxi otherwise we stayed out all day with 3 children and 5 adults this was a mamoth task every day plus the hotel would have people using spa pool etc more as they could please themselves

pool area could do with updating i never saw it cleaned only tested it did have leaves in it morning and night jacuzzis were very dirty when i went to use them the walls needed a good scrub towels were clean that were provided the pool bar was overpriced but they did class it as 4 star so they gave it 4 star prices food poor for 4 star. its a pity that the people that worked here did not speak or smile it would make a differance we did enjoy the music though all in all we had a good holiday but this hotel is only good for people driving a car and we do this all year round and wanted a break iff i had known better i would have stayed in a disney hotel where all transport is provided free and no charges of 15 dollars a day to park in a car park with 2- 3 thousand cars at a time. any questions please email me .

Room Tip: high floor for peace to sleep go to guest relation desk evening time and dont forget to book your ne...

Stayed in the resort August 2012 with a family group of five. The resort centre stands alone in it's own grounds, with an impressive fountain at the entrance. We were allocated block 3, asked for an apartment on a lower floor in block 5 on arrival with three beds, no problem to the reception staff who were very friendly. Plenty of parking, though it can get busy at night. The apartment was huge, spacious and a very relaxing space. All mod cons, large fridge, big oven, washer dryer, 2 bathrooms, excellent air con, 3 flat screen tv's if that's your thing, couldn't' ask for more.

Ideal base for visiting theme parks and restaurant, and the outlet village is behind the hotel, which is handy for last minute shopping and bargains. Wal-Mart is a few minutes down the road, and great for stocking up on supplies.

The pool was very large with a pirate ship, and towels were provided by the pool. If you like a self-catering holiday, with spacious apartments, in a good location base, then you can't go too wrong. If you expect your room to be serviced every day ( unless you pay for it), then you will be disappointed. We have stayed in Kissimee before with restaurants on your doorstep, which was handy as you can walk to them. However, a car is a necessity in Florida, so everywhere is accessible. Highly recommend this resort, great for families and a relaxing location after long days out.

This is our last night here at LBV resort and we have found every member of staff here extremely helpful and polite. The apartments are fantastic, a real home from home. We have used the shuttle service to the parks daily, which were brill and the drivers helped make the holiday, especially Freddie, who entertained us daily with his cheery manner and fun attitude. We also found frankie farrells bar very good value for money and really good food. This was served by Jeremy who really gave us outstanding service. A fantastic holiday, we are sad to go home, but we will definitely be back soon.

The resort is definitely close to all major parks and attractions. The pools, restaurants and small grocery shop are a plus. Our room for 8 people was small. We did have 4 nice bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, but the living space was too small. The dining table only seated 6 and the area around the TV was very limited in chairs. We felt cramped and didn't feel we could all be together. Also, one shower curtain was molded-they quickly replaced that for us. Also we had only one pot to use. They quickly brought us more pots and pans. We had no dish towels and were using our bath towels to dry dishes. They came with dish towels very effiecienly.
