I thought LBVRV was in an ideal location - just round the corner from the gates to Disney and down the road from the Crossroads food park (Chevy's is great) and Walmart the other way. Apartment was big, clean with ample room for a family. Lovely welcome note from Trish (who sorted out a firework view apartment for us) and some treats for our son. Fab to have a washing machine/dryer too. Let's face it, you have to drive in Orlando, so this is an ideal location. Not sure I'd have wanted to stay in International Drive/Universal area after we visited those areas as it's either busy or a bit more remote, so this apartment's location really suited us. Ideal for families, the pool is great and there's some kids' activities.

Location was 15min drive to Epcot which wasn't to bad. I'm glad I got the chance to stay here with my amazing boyfriend.

This was our 1st family vacation in the Orlando and it was perfect! We booked our stay based on the reviews we read and took the chance. We are sure glad we did. We are a family of 4 and stayed in the 2 bdrm suite, firework view (Building 5). The staff was very courteous and polite. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The grounds were also very well maintained and the kids loved the pool area. You can't beat the location. We did rent a car but all the parks were a short drive away and also very close to restaurants and Walmart. We will definitely stay here again when traveling to the Orlando area.

April 4th - April 18th 2013. We took our son and grandchildren to Disney Florida. Having decided that we wanted a hotel (off Disney) we read many reviews on Tripavisor always informative and a great timesaver. Some of the reviews were full of praise for Hotel and staff, some were not. As this was to be our first visit to Florida - to this Hotel and to Disney, we booked this Hotel based on all the good positive comments made but it still left a small question mark of 'what if' the negative comments were right.

HOTEL
WELL let us say right away that from first impressions to last the Lake Buena Vista Resort village and spa was superb.
The hotel location, the reception, the staff were welcoming, polite all very helpfull.
Our apartment in building 5 was a 2 bedroom apartment and it was huge, plenty of room to accomodate two energetic young children. The apartment had plenty of room for the five of us with all the facilities we needed and more.
We were faceing the view of the motorway which was some distance away but couldn,t hear the traffic in our room.
When we make a return visit to Disney we would be more than happy to stay at the same hotel, same building but a higher floor where you would get a better view of the firework displays from the Disney Parks.
The apartment was fully equiped and spotless, as was the linen and towels. The public areas were tidy and clean, the pool area maintaining the same standards. After long days in the Disney parks our grandchildren couldn't wait to get changed to enjoy the Galleon pool at the end of every day.

COURTESY BUS
Not having a car, the hotel courtesy bus gave a great service to the Disney parks and to Universal.

Pizza Shop/General Store, this facility supplied much of what we needed, some of which we could have got cheaper at Walmart, which was a short taxi ride away - but chose to use this onsite store - our choice. The staff in the pizza/general store always had a smile on their face and were always pleasant and polite .

FRANKIE FARRELLS
The food, the wecome you get , the service, the quality was excellant. Not cheap but you tend to get this anywhere where there isn't much competition within walking distance. Something you have to consider if your ready for a pint or three.

Finally I,m happy to report that the small 'what if' concerns we had before we arrived never happened so we had a Great holiday, Great Memories.

I stayed here with my wife and little girl for 2 weeks from 21st April and we would definitely return without a doubt.

First of all, I contacted them by email with some room requests and I was contacted by Trish, who sorted my requests out no problem and also gave me some contacts to find out about park tickets and other attractions etc. She was super helpful and we made a point of asking to see her while we were there to thank her in person.

The location of the apartments is ideal for a number of reasons. It is situated right next to a big designer outlet village, it has a Wallmart within a 2 minute drive for your groceries and the Disney Parks are all between a 5 and 15 minute drive away depending on which park you are visiting. It is also a short drive from Seaworld, Universal and I-Drive.

The rooms were clean and had all equipment you would need. The TV’s in the bedrooms are a bit old as in previous reviews, but who cares, they work and I didn’t come to Florida to watch TV. There were 2 rooms in my apartment, one with 2 double beds and one with a super king-size bed. The main bedroom also had a large spa bath which was very nice and a large walk-in shower. There was also another bathroom with a bath/shower and toilet. When we arrived in our room they had left a basket of snacks in the apartment which was very welcome and a nice touch. There was also enough washing up liquid to last more than 2 weeks, teabags, washing power and dishwasher tablets all of which were very much appreciated.

The pool area was good and we loved playing in the pool after spending the day at the parks. The pool has a pirate ship in it which looks cool, however if I have a criticism, then it would be that the pirate ship could be better as it only has one slide, which is not for young kids. I have stayed in a hotel in Majorca where they had a pirate ship in one pool and the kids could climb on it and walk the deck, steer the ship etc and there were several slides coming off it, mostly for kids so this one was a wee bit of a let down, but not that major to be honest.

The shop onsite for groceries is a little expensive compared to Wallmart so we didn’t use it much atall. The pizza Hut there is basic but good pizza’s and Frankie Farrell’s is no to bad either. Everything really is at your doorstep.

My daughter was a bit unwell while we were there and the reception staff got a doctor who contacted me at our room and came out to see her and they called later to see how she was. It is not much, but it is little touches like that which make you feel good about a place. I know some reviews have complained about the staff but any staff we came into contact with were very nice, polite, friendly and eager to help. You always got a good morning or whatever from cleaning/poll and other staff as well.

In conclusion, I would recommend these apartments and we will definitely be returning to Florida and will definitely be staying here again when we do.

Room Tip: i had room 51208 which was block 5, floor 12 room 8 with a view of the pirate pool.

This was our first staying in a hotel that was all purly 2 & 3 Bedroom Apartments, and it did not fail to meet our expectations.
The front desk staff were very polite and curtious and always willing to help as was the Thomson Rep. It was immaculately kept and this was everywhere not just reception.
OUR ROOM: Well we could not believe how spacious our 2 bed apt was, there was my wife and I and our 3 children, 14, 8 & 7 and this was more than big enough. There was an open plan kitchen & Diner/Living Area with a Large Table with 6 seats. A 3 seater Sofa and two chairs with a 40" Plasma TV with all the disney channels plus more. The kitchen there was every utensil you could think of, coffee making machine, american size fridge/freezer, dish washer, washine machine & Tumble dryer. Two bathrooms one had large bath/shower and toilet and cink, in the master bedroom there was a jacuzzi bath(Lush) seperate shower and toilet. Ceiling fan in bedrooms but Aircon was fantastic.
FACILITIES: Outside was a wonderful swimming pool with a pirate ship with a slide for the kids and it was very clean and tidy, the pool bar was staffed with very friendly people only negative, you were not allowed to bring in your own drink/food as they sold this in there and it was pricey, but tasty and all the named drinks you could ever wish for were on sale if thats what you wanted, but being a fly drive, we drove everywhere so heavy drinking goes out the window.
PIZZA: Pizza expresson site , well to say we looked like a pizza by the time we left was an understatement, kids loved them so did we ;) Staffed by romanians who were not so polite as the Americans but not rude just a bit grumpy, but they were doing 15 hour days! I would be too i suppose.
FRANKY FARRELS BAR & Rest: Well our experience in here was the worst we had experienced in any food establishment anywhere we have ever ate never mind the USA, STAY CLEAR, very rude staff, over priced cold tasteless food who just did not care how the food looked or tasted, disgraceful, when told they hated me, could not wait to get out and never went again dont let this pub put you off as the whole complex was amazing.
GYM: Fully equiped gym which had a running machine x 2 , bike, and all machine weights you could think of. Free towels and water inside too.
ARCADE: Great on an evening if you have exhausted yourselfs and want to chill whilst the kids play on various arcade games and machines.

Overview: Great Place to stay very central, 5-10 mins from all parks, International Drive, Kissemee, the I4 Motorway or the 192.

25 min drive from Sanford Airport, we downloaded TOMTOM Usa/Canada on our iphone which was brilliant, a must as we got lost first few days without it :) which was not so much fun...

ENJOY WE DID!!!!!

Room Tip: Ask for pool view room, slightly away from busy motorway to the rear, but it did not bother us to be...

We booked a standard room at this hotel after reading the reviews on trip advisor. The room is very large, clean and maybe a little dated but that was the only problem. We had two bedroom one large twin, with on suite bathroom and one very large master with Jacuzzi bath (very helpful after a long day the parks) and double sinks, another toilet and two person shower. There is a open plan kitchen (fully equipped) dining table and lounge. All rooms have TV's.
The hotel is a 10 to 15 min drive from most parks, Disney is the closest with Universal being 5 min further. It is a very direct route to the parks from the hotel, plus there is a walmart, petrol station and clothing outlets next door.
The only negative about this hotel is the hotel shop. The prices for food etc are extortionate, we were charged $10 for two bottle of water and $40 for general supplies which only cost us $15 at Walmart. Although a shame, Walmart is only around the corner and I would definitely recommend going there for any essentials.
Overall this is a very good quality hotel and we would certainly stay there again. If you are booking to go to Disneyworld etc then this would be a very good choice of hotel.
