“Second time around”
Reviewed February 18, 2013

I have traveled with my family to Orlando 7 times in the last 7 years and never stayed in the same hotel twice . We were in building five, great room. Why do people feel the need to complain about towels? The is a washer dryer, wash them!!!!! Big deal. Our room was spotless, we left iPads and a pocketbook on a couch one day, and guess what? They were still there when we got back. Door doesn't close right? So make sure it's closed...stop complaining!!!! We stayed Feb 9 through 16. Staff was excellent. Especially blossom. Really nice. I needed maintenance for two minor things, they were up within ten minutes. They were courteous and nice. Problems solved. Before going down, we had boxes shipped to the hotel, they were held for us. The only thing I really didn't like is the resort fee, which was not very cheap, but not a deal breaker. If I travel to Orlando again, I might stay a third time.

Room Tip: Request building 5, it's a newer building with better views. The furniture is a little newer. Re...

Reviewing the hotel for my sister in law. My sister in law stayed here over for a long weekend, they stayed in a 3 bedroom condo-Plenty of room for family of 5. They couldnt say one negative thing about he hotel! Close to all attractions, dinner and shopping. Les at the front desk was amazing! They can't wait to come back!

Just got back from a week at this hotel yesterday with my family of 5 (myself and my husband, two teens and my mother). We felt that it was excellent value for money and was exactly what we were looking for - more space than a hotel room but right in the heart of the action. We were only staying for a week so location was everything. Also parking was plentiful and the lifts were swift (we were on the 6th floor so it was important!)

The rooms are exactly what you need (although I thought the living room could do with two small sofas and a chair rather than a traditional three piece suite although it certainly wouldn't stop me from staying again!) and the lounge has the biggest hotel TV I've ever seen! It was all very clean and fresh-smelling, which is a good start, and there were loads of towels (some made up into swans, which was a nice touch).

We had a three bedroom version with two kings and a twin. The twin beds were British-size (3ft) rather than two doubles but this was OK and the comfort apparently made up for it (this from two kids who are used to sleeping in double beds). The kitchen was fully stocked and came with the necessary washing up liquid and dishwasher tabs (although I had taken our own) but I would have loved an electric rather than a conventional kettle. Perhaps people take them?? The kettle did take a while to heat up on the electric hob but we got used to it eventually! There is a coffee maker (and coffee too) if that's what you prefer. The oven was a good size and even fitted a large pizza from Walmart in it and the fridge was a standard size rather than a little icebox. There was also a full size washer and dryer in a cupboard - what I would've given for that when the kids were smaller! There is also responsive aircon and ceiling fans.

The main king (very generously sized) had an en suite with a jacuzzi and there was a separate bathroom too. We found that two showers were very necessary for our family of five and it was good to be able to use them both simultaneously without a drop in water pressure!

We thought the location was excellent and check in was super-fast and efficient with a number of discount vouchers for the mall opposite offered. Wouldn't say much for the food court but the hotel has a pool bar (which also serves meals) and an Irish pub (that serves meals) although we didn't eat in either of them given the hotel was so well located to Golden Corral, IHOP, Denny's etc all of which were a short car drive away. We also picked up stuff from the onsite shop - staffed with the nicest people you can imagine - which has everything you could need on holiday and was open 'til 1am.

We used both pools. The 'relaxation pool' was heated, which we needed on the last day of our trip when the temperature was 'only' 72 degrees. The pirate pool wasn't but made up for it in theming and we used it on quite a hot day. The place was quite quiet the week we stayed so we never had a problem getting a sunbed.

It was only around 10USD but I probably wouldn't pay for a 'firework view' next time. The fireworks were some distance away (obscured by a tree!) although it was nice to stand on the balcony and look out over the mall and the fountain in the morning.

We really enjoyed our stay and would return without hesitation. It was much better to stay there than have a standard hotel room (although we'd normally need 3 rooms for our party so would pay much more than we did). The location is brilliant and was absolutely what we needed and we would stay again like a shot!

It must be notes that this was not our choice, we were moved here as the original resort we booked "overbooked."

As for cleanliness, I'm not too sure they know what it means. This place is dirty in all ways. The room was disgusting there were stains on all sheets, mattresses, and blankets, the rungs were stained, the furniture was old and looked as if it came out of a dumpster, the STAFF... Well lets just say they were sketchy (this is putting it nicely).

Our first night there we left for dinner and upon return found that someone had entered our room and taken an iPad, Nook, and passport. When reporting this they seemed less than concerned. It was found that our door did not shut all the way, which they appeared to be aware of. Why not fix it?

Our room was at the end of the hall, no one would go down there. Unless someone decided to take the stairs. Doubtful! It's clear it was an inside "job." The behavior of both the security guard and maintenance man on duty - suspicious. I read behavior for a living.... I'm no idiot!!!

There were several times that we walked past rooms where the doors were ajar. At one point we left the room and saw another room open, maintenance came up the staircase and when we turned around and looked asked if we had left that room... You tell me what's going on. I can make assumptions but I won't. If you choose to stay here BEWARE!!

No cameras in staircases, elevators, or buildings! Extremely dangerous for your loved ones.

Ok, this place is nice. Really nice. The rooms are fantastic. TVs are from the stones ages and about the size of a smart car, but still good. People are nice. Rooms are great.

I would have given this place 5 stars, however, I just hate being nickel and dimed. Everyone knows the resort fee is a scam and hopefully some good laws are going to get rid of it soon but this place went 1 step too far over the $21 resort fee. They now also charge a $30 a day cleaning fee. So if you want a clean room and fresh towels it's going to cost you $30 a day.

I would gladly have paid the extra $30 because this place is nice but I just hate feeling like I have been violated after checking in and this fee just makes me feel dirty. Come on guys have some integrity and just charge the right rate to start with and let me at least finish checking in, in a good mood.

Room Tip: Expect $55 a day extra on the rate if you want a clean room and parking

We stayed there from 6/02/13 until 15/2/13 in a two bedroom suite,in building one we had asked for building five but were told it was full if we asked daily we might get moved, after seeing our suite in block one we just decided to stay put as gym, pizza hut, games room,Irish pub which was fantastic and small quiet pool all in our block.staff very very freindly and helpful nothing to much trouble.we booked our room for a full clean and due to some miss understanding it didn't get done,I phoned reception who right away said room would be done next day at no cost.Bus transfers to parks good and more or less on time give ten mins or so,all so a big shopping mall right next door that also was very good.Really good to have washing machine and dryer in room, was a little apprehensive as we normaly stay on international drive about needing to hire a car but the shuttle service very good, also had a kids club and a giant jacuzzi in our room which after trooping about parks was a god send, would definitely stay here in the future no problems or complaints what so ever,as your hotel can make or break your holiday.
