We stayed in a 3-bed apartment from 22Oct-5Nov. Apartments were large with all your home-from-home needs in the kitchen. We thought the rooms were getting a little tired and could do with someupdating, however they were clean and comfortable. We were upgraded to a 'fireworks view' without any problem when we asked at check-in which gave us great views across Orlando and sun in balcony mid-afternoon into evening. Staff were polite and friendly. The large pool was good area of families however the small pool was great to relax in and around as much quieter and the water much warmer! (large pool was very cold on some days). Disney, Universal & Seaworld are no more than 20mins away. Great Outlet park on our doorstep, however another good one as well as 2 large malls only 15-20mins also. Plenty car-parking spaces with wide berths for the 4x4's.

Room Tip: Ask for fireworks view room.

We arrived before noon, and our suite (an upgrade) was already available, with every amenity we could possibly need. The Jacuzzi tub was superb, a great way to unwind after a long flight or a day at an amusement park. We had plenty of towels and dishes, lots of room, a comfortable bed, two nice TVs, a useful in-room safe and a very effective and quiet washer/dryer. We were close to the quiet pool, which was spotlessly clean and very refreshing, and we enjoyed walking over to the next-door outlet mall. The daily shuttle schedule to the Disney parks, SeaWorld or Universal Studios worked so well that we were perfectly happy not to need a rental car, and the concierge saved us $10 each on our SeaWorld tickets. We were completely satisfied in every way and would not hesitate to return.

Room Tip: Access to the quiet pool is a real bonus, as it is somewhat heated and much less noisy and crowded than the larger one designed for kids.

I stayed at Lake Buena Vista Spa & Resort in Orlando for almost a week on the 28th October 2012. It was recommended to me by a work colleague here in Australia. I loved the apartments. They were clean and comfortable. I especially liked the big spa in the main bedroom.
I found everything to be perfect, the staff were wonderful and friendly. When I asked for the lamps to be looked at as I thought they need new bulbs, the maintenance man came to check them and ended up showing me how to work them properly. Doh!
We had an apartment that we could see the fireworks from the parks at 9pm every night. We paid an extra $20 for the room, but it was worth it.
The only little downside is that you need a car to get around. The shuttles were free to the Theme Parks, but if you wanted to go anywhere else, it would get a little expensive for traveling to and from the Resort.
The pool was fine, it wasn't ultra modern, but we enjoyed having a dip to cool down and the warm spa was nice as well. There is another pool, but I ran out of time to explore.
The only downside is that the little shop that sells groceries etc, was extremely expensive. But that would have been solved if I had a car.
I would definitely go back to LBVR again and would recommend it to friends. Thankyou for a wonderful experience.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that you can see the fireworks from.

Good location but apartment was dirty. Carpets need deep cleaning and had to keep reminding my children not to sit on the floor. Sofa bed was grubby and back cushions out of shape and uncomfortable to sit on. Washed the kitchen equipment before use as found dried food on cutlery. Took the top covers off beds and put them in the corner as they had stains on. If they were to take more pride in the cleaning it would be value for money but certainly was not when we visited. As a family we have been to Orlando many times but would not recommend this resort in it's current state.

We were looking forward to spending a long weekend at this hotel. It was our anniversary, but we decided to bring the kids along and a hotel with two bedrooms seemed like the right choice. When we arrived, the staff was friendly and the room seemed fine. We asked for some additional towels to be delivered to our room. We were told that would be no problem. We never got them. On the second day, I decided to use the jacuzzi tub. Problem one: The hot water heater for the room does not provide NEARLY enough hot water to even put 5 inches of water in the tub. Once I did manage to let the heater cycle enough to add a decent amount of somewhat hot water, I turned the tub on, only to have a TON of black mold shoot out of the jets. I mentioned this to the management and they said that they would have someone come up to check on the hot water issue and the moldy tub. Never happened. The last bit of fun we had was on our last night here, we got back somewhat late from Disney with our 4 year old who was fast asleep. As we went to get into our room, none of our room keys worked. Apparently they coded them to end before our scheduled check out time. So I had to leave my wife and son in the hallway as I trucked down 13 floors to the lobby of another building to have the keys recoded.

So overall, the property is decent. Not great. The customer service is abismal at best.

First and last trip here. There are much better properties in Orlando to stay at where they appreciate your business and it shows.

Room Tip: Pool view rooms are better. Other views are of a shopping center or the 417 highway.
