“Great spot for families for a long stay”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

We stayed there for a week in Sept 2012. Best position and great price. We got a 3 bedroom unit all self contained. If you have a family this is the place to stay. 7 of us stayed here and every thing is so close. The shuttle bus picks you up right outside at 9am and drops you off at 6.30pm or 10.30pm every night. There is a convenience store right next door and the prices are very good. The pub next door has massive meals. We did not have a car but we did not need one. There is outlet shopping to keep the women happy only 200 meters away. If you have a car or dont mind a 1km walk, a 24hr Walmart is just down the road. Free wi-fi in every room is a bonus.

We had booked this hotel about 3 months before our trip on Expedia and we were really impressed with the reviews online and the location and all the amenities that they had to offer...at least the ones that were mentioned online...when we arrived it was a nightmare...we were a family of 8 with one child and it was their first time to be in Orlando and Disney World. We were so tired after traveling all day and wanted to come to the hotel and relax a bit...The front staff was friendly and they booked us a room on the 8th floor...when we got in the room...it was a disaster..it was so dirty..from black film in the bathtub to someone using the toilet and leaving their waste without flushing...the sofa was completely torn and ripped at the seams...and all the lightbulbs were out...we were devastated...we finally arrive after looking forward to this trip for 3 months and then this happens...so I went and spoke with the front desk and they moved us to another room...once again the same issue in that room...ripped up couch and so forth...we were getting fed up and were ready to just say to hell with this place and go somewhere else...mind you we were carrying a lot of luggage and we were all taking it back and forth....so I go and tell the front staff again that this room is dirty and I even asked if this was standard in each room..to be dirty so that you can call their housekeeping to pay for it...YES you have to pay for all in house services..somethign not mentioned in any review or ad....You pay for housekeeping if you want it...you pay for towels if you need extra...anything you can think of you pay for. So they moved us once again to another room in another building and this one was far better than any of the other rooms but it still was dirty....and the sofa was ripped and torn at the seams...I think they need to either replace their sofas or at least get a sofa cover on them...ridiculous. anyways we remained in the last room they put us in and we were there for a 7 days....they tried to amend the situation by sending us a free cleaning the next day and honestly it was something that was never done in the first place lol they also gave us a basket of candy which was nice...but still the whole situation left a bad taste in our mouths...will we go back...probably not...just make sure that you ask about everything before you sign up. btw..everytime I had to go to the front desk to get a key or to tell them about the issues in the three rooms...the people who work in the front were glaring at me as if it was my fault..lol they need to lighten up especially if it about their workplace lol

Room Tip: They said that Building 5 was their newer one...

This was our secound stay at LBV this time for fourteen days, last year was seven days. I would have to say the hotel is unchanged despite what some say about wear and tear, sure you might find a stain on the floor somewhere or a little wear on the seat but I have to say it is still well worth the money and was more than pleased with cleanliness and apearance of the room and hotel grounds.I have traveled many places and seen far worse, cleanliness is not a problem here. Location can not be beat unless you feel like spending far to much to stay in Disney properties and get far less, ie full kitchen, washer dryer and master bathrooms. This property is 30 seconds from Walmart where you can grocery shop along with retail needs. Pirate ship is a plus along with the small grocery store in LBV and Frankie farrels Irish pub.

Room Tip: Pool view was worth the money, building 3 floor 7and above offers most fireworks view without the ex...

We had originally booked the NV suites on I-Drive through Virgin holidays, but due to various factors, the hotel's refurbishment wasn't completed in time. Virgin relocated us to the LBV resort & spa, and I have to say that after our 2 week stay there, it was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in!

I had sent an email with loads of questions and room preference a few weeks before we left, which was answered immediately by a lovely lady called Trish. Trish set our mind at ease with detailed info and assured us that she would try her best to honour our room request for building 5 (overlooking the pool).

When we arrived we were very pleased that Trish had managed to get us a fantastic room overlooking the pool, with a great view of the surrounding area. The room itself was huge with everything you could need for a family holiday. My wife and I had our own walk-in shower with a seperate whirlpool bath and toilet. Our 2 kids also had their own room with 2 double beds and their own bathroom. The main living room was impressive with a dining area and an open plan kitchen. The kitchen had a massive fridge freezer, dishwasher, cooker, microwave and washer dryer! The only thing that was missing was a baking sheet, but after a quick phonecall down to the reception they arrived with a brand new sheet moments later.

The kids loved the pirate themed pool with the pirate ship waterslide, there are also loads of available sunbeds for those of you who enjoy frying by the pool. We also enjoyed the pool bar which was a tad expensive but worth it for a cold beer after the parks.

The shuttle service was ok, the Universal shuttle leaves at 9.40am and returns at 7.25pm. The disney shuttle leaves at 8.55am & 11.30am and returns at 6.25pm and 10.30pm. Booking the shuttles was very easy and were usually on time.

Overall we were very pleased with the excellent customer service and the quality of the rooms. We're going back to Orlando in 2014 and we'll definitely stay at the LBV resort again.

Wee tip, email Trish White with any questions or requests as she was a great help for us.

Thanks again LBV resort & spa for a wonderful holiday!

Room Tip: Building 5 facing the pool, also gives you a good view of the fireworks at Disney!

Just finished a ten day stay at this resort and from start to finish, everything was exceptional. The staff was very welcoming upon arrival and the suite was beautiful with much attention to do detail from cleanliness to the swan designed towel folds. The location is great being near the parks and tons of restaurants. We make good use of Walmart nearby and using the great kitchen facilities within the room to save money on eating out. The pool areas are enjoyable and the bar staff are a lot of fun. The grounds look superb. The spa was absolutely fabulous and the girls do such a great job...it was a real treat to be pampered so wonderfully. Can't say enough good things about our stay and would highly recommend to anyone visiting the Orlando area.

Room Tip: Building two is nice to be near restaurant, fitness, and convenience store. Really like the smaller...

Just came back from a 3 week stay with my husband for our honeymoon. Rooms were clean and were like a home away from home with cooker washer dryer dishwasher. Air con abit noisy but nothing we could not deal with. Only thing I was disapointed at was that because it was our honeymoon we were told by virgin holidays that the hotel would give us a gift when arriving but this never happened. Overall was a great hotel and would stay there again.

we have just returned from our holiday to florida, we were due to stay at the NV Hotel but due to it not been finished we got the chance to stay at LBV Resort and spa, When we arrived we were met at reception by a lovely lady who made checking easy and quick. She informed us of all the benefits the hotel offered and made sure we knew all about the area. When we went up to our room which was a 2 bedroom suite we were met by the duty manager and he welcomed us into our room, this was a really nice touch and we felt very special.
The room was amazing with all home comforts it had washer and dryer and a large fridge along with microwave and oven, dishwasher, sink, kettle, coffee maker and all the pots and pans you would need.
The beds were very comfy and each one had a bathroom with shower and large bath. The room had a baloncy which had a table and 4 chairs.
The pool was clean and my little boy loved the pirate boat.
Nearby is a Walmart which has everything you need also near is starbucks, Dennys and a range of restaurants.
We loved this hotel and would stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone as it was FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
