My family and I have rented villas within the Remington gated community several times and each time we have been blown away! Each home is finished to the highest standard and most sleep around 8-10people. The villas are spacious and light and airy with two large living areas for chilling out after busy days at the theme parks or amazing malls. Almost all of the villas boast a private pool area and outside seating area, which was the main draw for us. Some pools areas can be a bit overlooked by other villas depending on where you are situated, but we have found that there are quite a few villas that back out onto lakes which gives you a bit more privacy.

All the rooms are large and two have double beds with two more rooms having two single beds each. From our experiences of the villas here, we have always found the kitchen area to be well equipped with everything you would need. The villas literally are a home from home!

As already mentioned Gleneagles is a gated community. Generally the security gates are left open during the day, but they are manned in the evenings so you will be stopped and asked which villa number and street you are heading for. They generally take a note of your cars reg plate as well.

We love the location in Kissimmee as we feel it is far enough away from the theme parks to get away from the hustle and bustle you'll find on international drive. Plus it gives you a chance to explore a different side of Florida.

If you are planning on going back and forth to the theme parks you will probably end up using the toll roads quite a lot, so it's always worth looking into getting a sunshine pass when you book your hire car. It's a one off charge and it means you don't need constant amounts of change!

We hired a villa on Weddington Green Court, a small cul-de-sac within the Gleneagles at Remington gated community.

The entrance to the community has security guards, during the evenings you will be asked to stop, and the guard will take a written note of your car license plate and also query what street you are driving to. I found all the security guards to be pleasant, and this is just standard procedure.

Before you can enter the Gleneagles neighbourhood, you will be greeted with a code operated security gate (your villa hire company will provide you with the code to open the security gate).

The villa comprised of five bedrooms, two en-suites, one bathroom and one toilet. Other amenities included a private screened swimming pool. The environment of this neighborhood is pristine.

The location is quite good. Everything you need is nearby. A Wal-Mart is located within a few miles (we did all our food shopping here), and an abundance of popular restaurants are within a few minutes drive from Gleneagles.

Gleneagles at Remington is located near the Florida Turnpike, meaning the distance to the Major Attractions (we visited: Universal Studios - less than half an hour drive, Kennedy Space Center - just over an hour drive) is reasonable. We also visited more nearby attractions such as Old Town & Gatorland.

I recommend Gleneagles at Remington for the condition of the community, the location to nearby necessity's and the simplicity and distance to most attractions.
