“Away from Disney”
Reviewed January 16, 2013

We stayed 4 nights in building 7 (not yet refurbished) in a 2b/2ba condo. Overall, the property is clean, and entry-level: this property would be great for a family with young kids, if you are worried about them getting too rambunctious (if you are looking for luxury, this is not the place). No flat-screen TVs in our room. We did not use the pool or other facilities, as we were not particularly impressed with the amenities in the room. One bonus is the kitchen- we made bagels for breakfast each morning. Also very nice if you are looking to stay off of Disney property. Overall, just a very average place.

My boyfriend & I spent 7 nights here in May & had a wonderful time. Great amenities, culture, & staff, aside from main front desk. Two women were very rude & disrespectful to us, seemingly for being younger customers (22) & it was very frustrating. But get past the initial check in & it's a wonderful place to relax & have fun!

Stayed here through my father-in-laws points system had a 2 bedroom villa on the 3 rd floor. Great room had a king room in the master two queens in the other room and a full pull-out sofa. The full kitchen was great for a few family meals we cooked inside the room. The location was perfect right down the street from SeaWorld , Aquatica, and Discovery Cove. The pool area was huge with a small waterslide and plenty of pools. Cant wait to visit again on another family vacation.

Room Tip: If you have more than 4 people the 2 bedroom villa is the way to go sleeps a total of 8 with two bat...

While our rooms were clean and we were given some of the basics to start our vacation and the location was ideal, nothing else about the place was even close to satisfactory. We needed more dishes and cutlery since there were 5 of us and received little so we were constantly doing dishes since running the dishwasher multiple times seemed like such a waste. Two of the three TVs didn't work and when they were "fixed" nothing was actually fixed since they would be turned off and not turn back on. The front desk had no idea about the area when we asked for a bank, you should know where these things are for your guests. The wifi was weak and spotty at best. We had to stay in certain places for it to work and we asked several times for it to be fixed and it wasn't. We asked for clean towels, dish towels and pot holders (since none were provided) and were giving them on the very last full day we spent there (very useful). The service desk was useless and seemed like we were asking for outlandish things instead of simple requests for clean towels, basic kitchen supplies and working electronics. Should management train the front desk staff on how to be friendly and courteous and knowledgable this place might be okay to stay at again, but I doubt that will happen.

Hmmm where do I begin? I LOVED the rooms. Beds were comfy, pillows super great. Layout nice. Close to pool and on the lake. However.... Tvs didn't work (for more than a day at a time) had to keep calling for repair. Internet was erratic and weak. No dish towels. No oven mitts. Not enough toilet paper. When we did call for tv repair we had to call 4 times over a 2.5 hr period and were told each time someone would be Right There. Finally had to speak to manager. Asked multiple times for dish towels and oven mitts - Right Away. We did get a hefty bag of All we requested .... On our last day! Oh yeah. Don't ask front desk for directions. Maybe they live here but they don't know Jack.

We signed up to receive this 1 week promotion for timeshare at the Fountains from a kiosk in our local Bass Pro Shop. $699 for 7 days with $175 given to us in bass pro gift cards. I was skeptical about it since it seemed too good to be true and told the salesman that I had no intention of buying. I was told my wife and I just had to attend a 90-120 minute presentation no strings attached. After coming home I googled bluegreen and read all the negative comments about their sales staff and presentation and was concerned. We booked this vacation almost a year later during peak season Dec 26-Jan 2 despite my concerns.

We stayed in building 10 (newest on the property) in a 2 bedroom condo style suite. The suite was well appointed with a full kitchen, 2 full bathrooms and laundry. Our family shared the suite with another family and all 8 of us were (4 adults and 4 kids) comfortable. This time of year we were only able to go to their outdoor pool twice as the other days were too cold, but they also have an indoor outdoor pool which we used on those days it was too cold to go outside. They had fishing, basketball and a variety of children activities which we did not do.

Overall a great spot Pros: close to shopping and parks, excellent deal for the price, great amenities, staff were friendly and the site was very clean. The only cons were: if you do not have a pool view room the parking lot is not very attractive and pool towels were not available at the pool and were left in your room (meaning you had to either launder them or get new towels each day at the reception), and the "free" wireless was useless (extremely slow).

The presentation was fine. The sales staff were pleasant, we were never taken to a back room and were met with in an open space, we never felt pressured, but the staff tried hard to make a sale.

I have heard that some people with this promo were made to stay at other resorts or stayed in old rooms. That was definitely not our experience. I think that you get a higher priority if you take the 7 day promo versus a 2-3 day promo so there is less chance of a negative experience.

It would be good value at 150-200 per night, but as a promotion for under 100 per night it was great.

Room Tip: get 7 day promotion and ask for building 10 poolside view

Rooms were dirty and ant filled. Couldn't'get a kettle. Pots and pans flakes tephlon coating. Was told there was a kids activity the first night. The kids were excited. The greeted had the wrong night. It was the night before. Talked to management about all our problems and we got lip service. Member of bluegreen and regret it.RUN avoid anything bluegreen. They will take your money and won't provide service.
