You are never too old for Pooh and Friends! We have 2 girls - 11 and 15. The 15 year old was not so excited about this as it has been 7 years since we ate here. But once Tigger put his head on hers while she was eating - the smile on her face was wonderful. The 11 year old was excited, got her autographs and the pictures are great. Buffet food is decent and fresh and has healthy options. Adult pricing starts at age 10 - which I think is a little crazy - but at the kids had a nice lunch and the atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice.

We went to the Polynesian for Christmas breakfast. The food was outstanding served family style. Lilo and Stitch lead a parade through the restaurant and everything was so festive. The Polynesian Resort was decorated beautifully and all in all, it was a wonderful experience on Christmas Day.

We had an over priced breakfast at the Vine in Hollywood Studios. The food wasn't bad but we paid about $78 for 2 adults and a child. It was all worth it though to see the look on our son's face when he met his favorite characters. It is Disney, if you have little ones this is a must!

Character Dining is the best sure bet to meet some characters without a line & have a great meal at the same time! We had an 11am buffet & loved meeting Mary Poppins, the Mad Hatter, Pooh & Tigger & Alice. We really love doing this!

We've dined at most locations over the years ( sadly some no longer have characters)! Some things to consider. If you're on you own with children, plated meals may suit you better than juggling children and plates at a buffet. If you're dining in places with booth type seating (Garden Grill) sit the children on the outside so they can interact with the characters better. It took me 15 years to get my family to Cinderella's Castle (my girls don't do Princesses) but the experience was fab. A window seat overlooking Fantasyland with a superb waiter. Loved it and now it's me that won't go back as it was soooo good I don't want the magic spoiled! Of the more regularly visited - youngest DD (13) won't be parted from a breakfast at Tusker House. I like The Crystal Palace with Winnie the Pooh. DH and eldest DD like The Garden Grill as they don't have to fight through a buffet line as the tables are booth style and Disney haven't been able to cram as many seats in. Chef Mickey's once a firm favourite has been spoilt a little for us by some of the seating we've been given. Cape May Cafe is good if you want a character meal outside the parks. Royal Arkersaus was pleasant, not a standout experience but nothing bad. It will be some time before we return to 1900 Park Fayre - didn't enjoy that one. A character meal is a MUST DO if you're new to WDW and have younger children. We've had some really magical moments over the years. Pick the characters and type of meal that suits you best and enjoy.
