Description: "Biergarten restaurant, in the heart of the Bavarian Village in the Germany Pavilion at Epcot theme park, celebrates Oktoberfest all year long. Authentic German cuisine is served for lunch and dinner buffets. Lively costumed musicians provide traditional Oktoberfest entertainment throughout lunch and dinner. Music and merriment resound as diners are encouraged to dance and be part of the boisterous merrymaking–or simply relax in the twilight atmosphere in this magnificent German hall. At the Biergarten Restaurant, seating is at long communal tables that offer a great view of the festivities. Grab a chair, join the revelry and create your own traditional German meal. Rotating lunch and dinner selections consist of hearty German favorites such as bratwurst, red cabbage sauerkraut, pork schnitzel and spaetzle. Delicious desserts, from Bavarian cheesecake to freshly baked apple strudel, complete any meal at the Biergarten Restaurant.

“Expected better”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 3, 2010

From the time we got there things went downhill. We checked in for our reservation about 15 minutes in advance and then waited over half an hour while other people around us went in. I then went up to the front to see what the holdup was and apparently we were forgotten about. Seating is "family style" and hopefully you will not be stuck with a family as ghastly as the one we were seated with. The children were screaming and climbing around on the furniture and the parents ignored them while having their own argument about something else. Then drinks were spilled across the table.
The food at the buffet was mediocre for the most part with the exception of the meatballs, bread, soup and some of the desserts. The meat was not very good.
The show is fun for both children and adults alike in a cheesy sort of way. It is too bad that they make you sit with other people that you do not know who have the potential for ruining your evening.
I woud call the service hit and miss as well, with some very helpful cheery people mixed in with ones who know they are getting their tip regardless and do as little as possible to earn it. There are so many other wonderful restaurants to make reservations at in Epcot I would give this place a miss.

“A MUST for kids in Epcot”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 27, 2010

We have made several trips here over the years with our kids at different ages. The buffet is a huge benefit because there is no wait (once you are seated) and everyone gets what they want. The German music is a lot of fun and I have great video of my kids dancing to the oom-pa-pas.

In the context of Disney Dining, the food quality is good and the entertainment is some of the best they have when travelling with kids.

“ticca tocca , ticca tocca , hoy , hoy , hoy ...Fun @ Ocetoberfest !!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 30, 2010

My family had gone to the Biergarten in Epcot a few times . You have to have a liking for German food to go there but it is one of the most affordable resturant option in Epcot and the Octoberfest show with it's sing alongs and stage show are fun for everyone ! Make reservation well in advance especially around the busy times of year at Disney ! You'll be drinking huge stiens of beer and singing oompa songs in no time !!!

“Fun Show, Great Food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 28, 2010

We went to the Biergarten in Epcot after a long day at two parks. The show is lots of fun, and the musicians had a floor full of kids dancing off the last energy of the day. The menu is now a very extensive buffet, and the food is excellent. I love sauerbraten and this one is great. At $32 it is pretty expensive, but considering the show and drinks and dessert included, this is one of the better dinner values at Epcot.

“MUST Try Restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2010

If you eat at no other restaurant in Disney, eat here. It has great food, a fun show and the atmosphere is friendly. I know some may hesitate to eat with others at a table but don't. It turns out this is a lot of fun! We ate here twice during our trip and our fellow table mates were great fun and friendly. Some of my favorite foods: meatballs, spatzle, and the apple strudel. Oh, my 11 year old loved the chicken schnitzel and the mac and cheese. Plently of variety for all!!
