“Pricy but very tasty food”
Reviewed September 5, 2012

We ate here on the Disney Dining Plan so the high prices did not bother us. The food is delicious and the portions very good. The atmosphere is of finer dining but being that they are Disney, very kid friendly. The dessert plate was excellent and more than enough to satisfy any sweet tooth. I ordered the NY strip and it was cooked perfectly. My husband ordered the fish of the day and it was superb. I can't wait to return again.

“afternoon tea-nothing special”
Reviewed September 3, 2012

Disappointed. Nothing like what they show in their pictures. The traditional 3 tiered stand, as pictured/advertised, is not served. Tea sandwiches were ok. Scone was ok. Tart was bland. You get your choice of 2 miniature desserts. Tasted like it came off a production line.
The "princess breakfast tea" and the "ginger mango" were good.

Although we were served by the "tea master", she was "uninvolved", in her service, nothing ceremonious. Her placement of plates, were less than genteel. She just "served"...did what she had to do. Nothing more, nothing less.

“Good food, atmosphere can depend a lot on next table and on seat assignment.”
Reviewed September 2, 2012

The food and service here is good. The tables are a little closer together than I like, though you wouldn't say it was cramped. Some of the tables are in the middle of a thoroughfare, and being a disney place, you can get a rowdy bunch of kids on all sides running a mock, but you can't blame the cafe for that, it's common all over the Magic Kingdom.

“Fab food”
Reviewed August 30, 2012

This restaurant is only 1 point on you Disney Dining Plan but had a much higher grading feel about it. The service (although a little in your face) was very attentive, the setting (although not to our taste) was exquisite, and the food was delicious.
We began with Fried Green Tomatoes (as a fan of the film - I had the urge to try them). The best starter ever -mmmmmm. My husband has a seafood allergy and the chef came out and said he would cook them in a separate pan so he wouldn't be ill - nothing was too much trouble,
My chicken was succulent and flavoursome and my husband's burger (especially made without the lobster) was very meaty.
We got to watch the fireworks from the window which finished the evening perfectly.
If you have the time, get the bus to MK and then take the ferry over to the hotel - a more romantic / sceneic experience than getting the bus straight there from Downtown.
