Was wondering Orange Ave. with a work buddy when we stumbled upon this place. Kind of empty at 6pm considering that Dwight Howard and the Lakers were in town. In NYC, where I'm from, the best restaurants around MSG are packed before Knicks and Rangers games. Anyway, we decided to give it a shot as we both wanted steaks and the place was called Kres ChopHouse. What a pleasant surprise! Service was excellent and the steaks were even better. I had the Filet Mignon, and not only was it cooked perfectly (medium rare), but the cut of meat was prime+. My buddy had the strip steak and he said it was excellent. Two nights earlier we had the same cuts over at Boheme which is located in the Grand Bohemian hotel and there was no comparison. The chef at Boheme either cooks to the well side or somebody fell asleep at the oven as both our steaks were more than slightly over cooked. So if you want a good steak, try Kres Chophouse.

The food was fresh! The steak was prepared exactly the way it was ordered and the salad was exceptional. The highlight of the meal was the bread pudding! I would encourage everyone to try it.

We received excellent service at Kres but the food was less exciting. We ordered the very expensive Australian Lobster expecting a glorious gastronomical experience but instead it was dry. Since we were enjoying a special anniversary night neither of us wanted to cause a scene and send it back but it is always bad when the side dishes ordered are better than the main course.

Orlando has a few really good steakhouses to chose from. Del Friscos, Charlies, Ruth Chris and Flemmings to name a few. But I don't think I've ever had a better steak in the Orlando area than Kres. My girlfriend had the Chilean Sea Bass and it melted in your mouth. Cooked and seasoned to perfection. We went there for Valentine's Day but I surely will not wait for a special occasion to dine there again.

Took the Grandkids to Disney and decided to go to Kres on a referral. Great location! The atmosphere and service was excellent! Then we got our meal! Could not be any better. The lamb rib appetizers were excellent as was the Prime Sixty steak. Generous portions. The kids ordered the shrimp mac and cheese and we had 2 very happy twelve year olds and a six year old. Then we got dessert! OMG! The white chocolate bread pudding was to die for. The owner, Billy Ray came to our table on a couple of occasions and what a delightfully pleasant person. I loved everything about this restaurant. It is not a family restaurant but they went out of the way to make the kiddos comfortable.
