“Helpful staff, well maintained, easy access to Disney, Universal, et al.”
Reviewed May 19, 2013

The five of us stayed two nights in a two bedroom, two bathroom suite with living room, kitchen and laundry on the fourteenth floor of Tower 4. Our room overlooked the walking path that circumnavigated the lake between the towers. While I wouldn't normally book a room in a tower that is not in the downtown area of a large city,
a) the room was "free", courtesy of my wife's sister who owns a Wyndham Time Share,
b) the accommodations were nice and well maintained,
c) the staff were helpful and timely, i.e. no waiting to check in or to replace a battery in the room,
d) there was covered parking to beat the Florida heat, and
e) it was easy access to the airport, never having to go on the traffic jammed I-4!

With an onsite convenience store (for popcorn, Starbucks coffee, etc.), a free business center (to print boarding passes) and a number of restaurants delivering their meals to the towers, we had an excellent though short stay. Also, the $5 per person roundtrip fee to and from Disney resorts is fairly priced; the $20 per person roundtrip fee to Universal Studios had us using our car.

So 5 stars it is! Thanks!

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the walking paths that circumnavigated the lake.

Stayed here with my family May 2-13 in Tower 5 on the 5th floor in a 1 bedroom apartment, we had 2 adults and one child and plenty of room. The resort itself is beautiful and large, we were in the newish building with a lazy river and lake view. The room was very clean however the décor was a bit dated. The kitchen and stackable washer and drawer were a big plus on this trip. The washing machine and dryer also added to the convenience. There is so much to do on the property after you are done going to the parks, just check with the activity deck at Building 1 or 6. We had hired a car and parking was no problem at all.

I thought this was a very nice hotel. However, we only ate one meal in the hotel. We found the food to be very overpriced and nothing exceptional. The service was excellent in all parts of the hotel except the restaurant. There was absolutely no atmosphere at the restaurant and you felt that you were sitting in a canteen.

The most concerning point that I feel needs to be mentioned. One evening about 9pm the fire alarm came on with an automated voice instructing us to leave the building via the stairs. This is perfectly fine. The concerning part was that when we got out side there was no fire assembly points, no member of staff guiding or directing the shell shocked guest with infants in their arms. On top of this, no body explained what was going on, people were allowed to ramble back into the reception area of the building. A SV or manager was attempting to view the alarm board and eventually allowed people to go back to their rooms before the building was given the all clear.

There are many more positives to the Wyndham Bonnet Creek than negatives. The grounds and pools are great. The room was well maintained and the fixtures are a higher quality than other similar places in which I have stayed. The resort is close to the parks. Check in was a hassle, we were exhausted from the travel. Check in is slow. You have to stand in a separate line for your parking pass. The purpose of this step is to attempt to get you to sign up to time share. No high pressure techniques but a needless step when you want to get to your room.

This place is HUGE! We stayed in building 5 and it was very nice. There was a parking garage right outside our building, which we loved, along with 2 pools (lazy river and another smaller pool with 2 hot tubs).

Check in was smooth except for the wheel and deal of the sales people trying to get us to go to a FREE BREAKFAST. I had to get a firm voice and finally say NO!

The room was awesome. We loved facing the parking lot so that we did not hear kids in the pool all night. Having a fridge, stove, etc. was awesome. We cooked a lot to save money and made our own sandwiches to take into the parks. Prices are CRAZY in the Magic Kingdom, but we found that the other parks were much cheaper. The first night the AC would not turn on, but thankfully my husband is handy and got it working for us the rest of the time.

In the you get 2 - 3 sets of towels, 4 packages of laundry detergent, 2 packages of dishwasher soap and dish soap along with everything you need for the bathroom. You have tons of cups and plates and almost any baking dish you may need along with an ice maker in the fridge. I found that a 2 bedroom for 2 couples was perfect.

When I was checking out I noticed a lot more to the resort then what I thought. There are bars and restaurants all over the place. This place is stacked and I can't think of any place I would rather stay at Disney.

Stayed here with my family May12-16 in Tower 6 on the 2nd floor in a 2 bedroom deluxe, we had 4 adults to children and had plenty of room. The resort itself is beautiful and large, we were in the newest building with a pool and lake view. There is so much to do on the property after you are done going to the parks, just check with the activity deck at Building 1 or 6. We had a shuttle pickup and drop off at our building but decided to just drive since they are charging 5.00 a person a day for use of the transportation. All in all this resort we will be returning to!!!

Room Tip: To get a better view of the lake or pools try to get a higher floor. They charge 5.00 a person per d...

Hotel was huge but the staff is not overwhelmed. Pool is one of the best I have seen. They have a shuttle to Disney or you can take a really short drive to the park. They have a cafe where you can load up on breakfast foods or water bottles before you leave.

I thougt this was a very nice hotel. The room was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. However, we only ate one meal in the hotel. We found the food to be very overpriced and nothing exceptional. The service was excellent in all parts of the hotel except the LL restaurant. Our waitress provided poor service and seemed to be more interested in socializing, than attending to her guests. When we ordered our salads, she asked us if we wanted chicken or shrimp on the salads. I elected for shrimp and my husband asked for chicken. At no time did she mention the up charge for either. When we received our check, the chicken was an add'l $4 and the shrimp an add'l $6 (for 6 shrimp). That was the last meal we ate at the hotel during our 4 day stay.

There was a bunch of workers in the next room yelling and working. IT WAS 12 am at NIGHT. I phoned the front desk and they put me through to an answering machine that says it's hours are 9-5. When I called back and they hung up. Nothing was done. So I went out and talked to them and they said they will be done in 5 minutes. However, by the looks of the machines they had scattered throughout the hall and the 5 or 6 extension cords too, they probably would have carried on if i hadn't threatened to check out. why is this work being done at midnight? why would the front desk allow this work to be done when they know there is a guest staying in the room directly next door? they carried on for about half an hour after I went outside and at no time did anyone come down from the front desk. Also we had two things break down. Our TV wouldn't turn on, we called to the desk and waited 45 minutes before we just fixed it ourselves. Then the jacuzzi started going off on its own and the front desk never sent anyone to help we had to figure it out ourselves. the room and hotel are nice enough. But don't expect to get a workout in their fitness rooms. All the treadmills our warn out. When one tries to run on them you hit the bottom and stop the belt. Also our room was on the ground floor and from 7 am to noon everyday there are yard workers walking right outside our window doing work. Obviously most guests here will be going to disney during the day so why not wait for them to be gone? We were staying in a time share. And I feel it was for this reason that the front desk didn't give a care about our problems. Finally after all that when we asked for a later check out they said no. One of our party has diabetes medicine that needs to stay refrigerated and our flight back home isn't until 6pm. When we told the front desk about this they stood by their firm "go screw yourselves". Having worked at a wyndham property I know that they go by a solid , "get em in, get their money, and get em out" method while trying not to give away anything for free. I would say, if you get a room above the first floor and NEVER need any thing from the front desk, then your stay should be decent. That being said if you can afford to stay at a DISNEY owned property you would be WAY better off doing so

Room Tip: disney owned properties are the way to go
