This was my first stay at The Wyndam Bonnet Creek Resort and I am impressed. We were a party of five, including an almost three year old toddler and we rented a two bedroom unit.
Check in was easy and pleasant as was obtaining our parking pass. The unit was convenient and clean and updated.
Our stay was for four nights; March 18th - 22nd. The complex is huge and a little intimidating at first, but the facilities never seemed too crowded. This place is not for the faint of heart! There is always music and activity - lots of lights every where at all hours of the night.
We spent an entire day doing a pool tour and each pool was well maintained and fun. We especially enjoyed the pools with a "beach" which were perfect for our toddler. The lazy rivers and seperate toddler pools were also great as was the walking path around the lake.
We were called twice concerning time shares, but each call was polite and short.
Food can be a issue while staying at Bonnet Creek unless you "cook in". We ate lunch the afternoon of our pool tour at the little grill just outside the main check-in lobby (I forget the name of the grill). The menu was limited, but adequate, and the food was good. Another afternoon we ordered take out from the little grill/bar near another pool (again, I forget the name), but this food was not so good and the service was a bit surly. By the way, each "tower" has an outdoor picnic area complete with gas grills if you are a grilling fanatic.
One suggestion: we were given a map of the complex when we checked in, but not a complete list of places where we might obtain food (either take-out or eat-in food). Perhaps a list of food sources with the hours and LOCATIONS clearly mapped out would be a good idea and helpful to all of us checking in for a stay.
All in all, a great experience. PS - the flowers and landscaping were beautiful.....
