“STAY AWAY FROM BALLOON GUY”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2013

My Family and I took our usual trip to Orlando to stay at our favorite resort and upon arrival and check in we were greeted by the usual faces and friendliness except from the guy making balloons in the lobby.
He had a scowl on his face that was not very friendly and he was being very short and rude to some of the kids. When he finally got to my children the shape of the balloon represented more of a "HUMAN" part then animal and when my husband asked about it and the Balloon man "Patrick" told him that he was a professional and not to question his work cause he does not question ours. I found this rather disturbing and when my husband asked to speak to someone the balloon guy said he was the manager and that my husband was being unreasonable.
Now I know people have a bad day from time to time but when your on vacation and you get paid to make people happy you should be in a better mode.
A person like this would be better suited for work behind the scenes.

We love the resort and will come again but I will not have my children exposed to that treatment ever again.

Room Tip: Ask for lake and pool views in Tower 6

This is a great property. We stay in the vacation ownership part. It is clean, the staff is wonderful and you can't beat the accommodations and amenitites. It is exactly as it looks in the pictures. Add to that the proximity to the attractions and it gets even better. We've found ourselves opting to stay on property rather than going to the parks. Miniature golf, ping pong, game rooms, pools, lazy rivers, private cabanas, etc. They were even thoughtful enough to provide parking garages to make it easier to find places to park. I highly recommend this property. Now they've added a Wyndham hotel on property (also beautiful) and it added more restaurant options as well as a full service spa. It is a jewel in the Wyndham crown. You can't go wrong staying here.

Room Tip: Overlooking the lake is beautiful, but certain other locations can also see the nightly fireworks fr...

We've stayed here two times before with our parents, who have resort points here, and it was nice. But this time, it seems the property management has gone downhill. When we checked in we got to our room to find a ripped chairs, missing light covers, non-functioning burners on the range, a broken phone, and no blanket for the hide-a-way sofa. Okay, you'd think these things were easily remedied. Most of them were. We checked in on the 9th. Reported the broken phone on the 10th. Maintenance can the same day. Great, right? Except they can just change the phone. It has to be programed to the room. So they said they'd have a new one for us in 24 to 48 hours. Today is the 23rd. We still have no working phone in the main room, and the phone in the bedroom has such a high pitched squeal that we (and the person we're calling) can barely hear each other. How convenient when you come to Florida to visit people, except you can't call them from your room, so they don't know you're coming and you can't meet up with anyone. Not that they care. Even the property manager can't make a working phone happen for you. At least he hasn't made it happen for us. Offer a new room with a working phone? That's a great idea, but you can just forget it. No such offer has been made. Wyndham could care less about your problems.
Also, Tower 1 has next to no sound-proofing. I got to listen to babies crying, kids screaming, phones ringing along with the conversations that followed, and the soniferous snores of the man on the other side of my walls. Sleep quality? Horrible. I'm so tired every day from being awoken by people who aren't even in our suite.
Gee, I'm so glad MOST people have such a great stay. Nothing must have gone wrong for them. Because if something does go wrong, you can't count on it being fixed. Not by a long shot. We check out in 2 days and I doubt I'll ever stay here again. It certainly would be among my last resorts when it comes to a good place to stay in Orlando. SHAME on you Wyndham because this is not the way to treat your guests, especially if they shilled out the dough to be resort owners! Now that you have us we don't deserve a working phone? That's great.

Beautifully appointed rooms, water park area/lazy river for the kids. Great kids activity schedule -- all this basically on park grounds. Definitely planning to stay again. The only challenge was the offer for a time share presentation.

The Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort in Orlando is a terrific place to stay. There are six towers around a small lake connected by a boardwalk. Lots of interesting pools, outdoor lakeside bars with live music and restaurants, mini golf and many activities for the kids. The suites are very nice and have patios or balconies, washers and dryers and full kitchens. Bus service to the Disney parks and downtown Disney run every half hour. The location is central to everything and just down the road from Epcot. Very reasonable and can be rented on ebay too. I highly recommend staying here.

Room Tip: The ground floor has patios overlooking a pool. The views from the upper floors are awesome and can...

My family just got back from a 7 night stay at the Bonnet Creek resort. Our 2 Bedroom looked to be updated with new furnishings. We stayed in tower 4 with a view of Epcot. The grounds were beautiful. We could reach any Disney Park within 5 to 10 mins in our rental car, downtown Disney in 4 minutes. We used the full kitchen for our breakfasts and late night meals. We packed for only 4 days and used the Washer / Dryer in the unit. My kids loved the lazy river and hot tubs. We rented from an owner for around $800 for the 7 nights. Didn't get any timeshare sales while I was there either, took the phone off the hook.... Will come back again...

Room Tip: Call ahead to ask for an Epcot fireworks view room with a high floor. I was on the 10th floor and co...

This time we had a 2 bedroom, 2 bath as we had the grandkids with us for 3 days. It was perfect. The breakfast bar is great and there are ample dishes, pots and pans, appliances, etc. Our unit was very clean, plenty of nice towels and soaps; comfy beds and pillows. This place beats staying in a hotel any day. The shuttle bus to the parks is an added plus ($18.00 now to park at Disney parks - eek). There is a small store/cafe for breakfast and lunch food (pricey $7.50 for a Chicago hotdog) , but hey - you're at Disney) - yogurt, drinks, snacks; the "outside" bar and eatery had good pizza, nachos, burgers, and a full bar (everything available for take-out). Nice little miniature golf course; couldn't use the pools because it was too chilly (but Northerners were swimming!). The ONLY downside to our stay, is at check-in, when you have to get a "parking pass" for their lot, and of course, this is where they want you to sign up for their timeshare spiel ($100 American Express card for the 90 minute tour).

Room Tip: Try to get a room at the top facing Epcot (to see the fireworks from your balcony). Stay away from...
