“Better stay each time I go”
Reviewed May 30, 2014

For my birthday I spent two nights in Disney Vacation Club's Saratoga Springs. As I live within two hours of WDW I often stay in this resort for one or two nights. Since it is a time share, we do not get daily maid service, but we can make our own beds. Each time I go I am greeted warmly by the check in desk folks. We often find cast member from another country and have a nice chat with them. This time it was with a lovely lady from Cairns, Australia. My mom was from Sydney, so we got along right away.

Sometimes a lamp won't work or there is some other minor issue, but these are always immediately fixed. The main pool is crystal clear and the food has greatly improved.

We like to eat at the Turf Club and this trip the food was superb! Even the mashed potatoes were excellent. A few months ago, most Disney food had become boring, the same chicken , steak and fish, and was just OK. This trip we noticed a real change. Thank you chef!

Room Tip: Stay near the Hospitality House if you like the main pool and it Is close to the restaurant. The S...

Disney has gotten too big. The true feeling of Disney is gone. We stayed at the Saratoga Spring. The room air conditioner seemed stuck on 74 degrees. Because of my wife's health we needed 77-78. It would not go there. We called maintenance and it took over 2 1/2 hours before someone showed. He was very good, but did not believe my story. He fixed the problem and set it on 77. When the temperature got to 78 it came on and dropped it to 75. Then it worked its way back to 77. Our first night we got no sleep because of the cold.
The room was not completely clean as in the past. There was some dirt and plenty of dust. In the elevator there was a broken pretzel for over 24 hours.
In the past Disney was very good, it lacks something now.
It is okay to stay here, but not the best of Disney.
The people we called about the problem seemed indifferent. Where is the old Disney.

First time here at Saratoga Springs Resort, in a two bedroom...very nice room...lots of space..quiet location...many pools to pick from quiet ones to kiddy pools. Transportation to all the various parks close by and close to non-Disney restaurants too which makes it very nice since most Disney restaurants are expensive and basically the same kind of food at each one. Would definitely stay here again.

We are DVC members and have stayed at Saratoga Springs many times and always look forward to going back.. Epcot is the closest park to this hotel and we like to spend a lot of time there. We enjoy staying in the Congress Park area which is conveniently located directly across from Downtown Disney. At this point in time there is a lot of construction and changes going on downtown but guaranteed Saratoga Springs will be a hot spot once the update is completed. The restaurant located within the Carriage House is The Turf Club. The food is very good but pricey. The other on site food area is The Artist's Palette which is a walk up and order it type counter service where you can get breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There is also a small gift shop and a limited amount of groceries. The "studio" rooms are plenty roomy for two people with a queen size bed, and if you have others with you there is also sofa with a fold out queen bed that sleeps two. This room provides a small refrigerator, a toaster, microwave, sink, coffee pot and four of mugs, paper bowls, paper plates, plastic cutlery so its easy to have breakfast in the room. The one bedroom villa is very spacious with a work kitchen complete with full size stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and ceramic and glass tableware as well as stainless forks and knives and has a whirlpool bathtub. However, this room only sleeps four people like the studio. The two bedroom villa is the best if you are traveling with a large group and can sleep up to eight people. Its almost like being in a condominium with two separate bedrooms separated by a living area and kitchen area and each bedroom having its own bathroom. As other people have mentioned this resort is very, very large and requires a lot of walking to get anywhere so factor that into your stay when making your plans.

Room Tip: You can walk to Downtown Disney from rooms at Congress Park. When requesting the Grandstand ask for...

We stayed in the Tree House Villas with another couple during a short two night stop last month. I requested an " on the water, near transportation" villa and got it. For 4 adults the villa was great. Put two adults and 4 or more kids in there and you'll feel cramped. Overall themeing is beautiful with not a comfort forgotten. Love the ceiling to floor windows but don't worry they are covered with room darkening curtains.

Speaking of dark, the overall interior is very dark even with all the lights on.

Enjoyed having the dishwasher, laundry room, and fully utensil and dishes stocked kitchen.

One bedroom has a set of bunk beds and the other two have a queen bed each.

On the deck is a nice table with 4 chairs and downstairs is a BBQ pit. There are grilling utensils in the kitchen but buy your own charcoal and lighter fluid.

The master bedroom is on suite with the living room and kitchen separating the other two bedrooms and bathroom.

Complaints about the waits for bus and boat transportation were never realized as each wait was mere minutes for us. You should always go to DisneyWorld expecting waits and that way you're not upset when/if it happens!

Very short nice boat ride to Down Town Disney area.

we were'nt sure about a disney holiday as we are not the best park goers and find rides can make us a little sick! But all our fears were dispelled by the fabulous surroundings of the saratoga springs resort - the service was top class and the facilities were excellent - two great restaurants (artistes bar do a particularly good lobster club sandwich.)
This coupled with the free buses to and from all disney resort parks and our mickey wrist band ( pays for food drinks snacks and entrance to all atractions)
A disney themed holiday may not be everyones cup of tea but it has opened the door for future florida holidays as we were so impressed with everything about the place. If your waying up on fly drive verses all in resort type - pay the extra and have everything paid for - it really is the option !

Room Tip: One little grumble was that they do not offer seperate beds for kids and have a fold down double - s...

Imagine, your own private woodland hideaway. I spent a thoroughly relaxing weekend with friends, just listening to the wind stirring the pine trees and the birds singing. The charming raised villa has 3 comfy bedrooms, one with a king bed and ensuite bath with nice whirlpool, one with a queen and one with a bunk bed (2 twins) all decorated in log cabin style. The two latter share a very nice bath. The kitchen is beautifully equipped, and bbq tools are provided to use with your own private grill (on the ground level for safety, even a fire extinguisher nearby). Since the villa is raised on an impressive steel base, there are stairs to climb to get in, but you can park your strollers underneath to keep them dry. Wheelchair units are available, with a nice ramp provided. Our unit was right on the river connecting to Downtown Disney, and the free boat ride there is a nice treat in the evening.

Room Tip: Some villas are more private than others, and some are on the river. Tell the desk clerk your prefe...
