“Wonderful Place to Stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 13, 2014

This is a lovely place to stay if you want Disney property. We had a studio room which proved quite efficient for us two. Beds and pillows were so comfortable that we slept like babies. It is an immaculate resort and the pools are fun with waterslides and one has a grill to eat at. Highly recommended. It is close to Downtown Disney with that fun and also to the parks.

Room Tip: Congress Park is close to Downtown Disney and ask for a room with a sunny side if you like that. We...

We recently spent a week at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa at Walt Disney World. Our accomadations were a Studio Unit in the Springs area of the resort. We like staying in the springs area because it's closest to the main lobby, the main pool where most of the activities take place, to dock for boat transportation to Downtown Disney, the Pro Shop for the golf course and the only sit down restrant in the resort. All of your transportation needs are handled by the numberous Disney buses that seem to cmoe by in cycles of less than 20 minutes, no matter what Disney Park you wish to go to. One drawback is that the bus is your only mode of Disnet transportation, so at park opening & closing times they are very crowded & you may need to wait once or twice to get on a bus. One downer for staying at the Springs is that it's the last stop of (5) before heading out to the parks. Early buses tend to be full before they reach the Springs bus stop. A remedy is to walk acroos the bridge to the Paddock and catch the bus at their stop, which is the 3rd of the (5) stops. A hidden gem is the Turf Club Grill located in the main check-in building. Although it currently os open only for dinner, the food and service are outstanding, (and they don't seem to be too crowded, plus they have outdoor tables available. The resort lives up to the Disney standard and deliver's what you'd expect at a reasonal cost..

What an amazing resort/hotel. It is so pretty and well cared for. I love the update New York theme! There is a cool bronze statue of a race horse just outside the front doors of the check in area. There is a golf course on site as well as boat transportation to Downtown Disney. We snagged an amazing deal using www.saratooga.com as well.

My family stayed here the last 2 nights of our Disney vacation and I wish we would have stayed here the entire time. The grounds were very well maintained, the staff was beyond friendly, and the rooms were very spacious and appointed seeing as how this is a Disney Vacation Club resort. If you want more than a standard room, Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort is a wonderful choice.

My only complaint (very small) was the frequency of the bus service to the theme parks. Generally, the buses ran to each park once every 20-30 minutes. This is a bit less frequent than the other non-DVC resorts, but manageable.

Stayed on property for 7 nights. We rec'd one towel and bedding exchange after 4 days. Property was very picturesque and the pool and spa in the Congress Park had plenty of loungers and chairs. Disney buses run about every 20 min. and take you to all of Disney's attractions. If staying in the Congress Park area, it is only a 5 min. walk to Downtown Disney. The resort is very quiet and peaceful. We stayed in a one bedroom unit with a sofa-bed in the living room. The sofa-bed is only so-so for an adult but it is fine for children. We had a rental car but mainly used the buses to get to the parks. We did use the car to go to the large pool and restaurant at the entrance to the resort, but you can also use the bus to get there if you don't mind waiting. We stayed in a ground floor unit and never heard any noises from the upstairs unit or the next door unit. If you are staying in the Congress Park area or another area a long ways from the main entrance, there is another gate right by Downtown Disney that you can use 24 hrs a day. If it is not manned, you use your Disney arm band to open the gate. You also use the band for your door key, so make sure at least one of your party has it on before leaving the unit! We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: If you want easy access to Downtown Disney, stay in Congress park. Rm. 1107 has a great view of the...

This was our first experience in our new Disney Vacation Club (DVC) home property. We stayed in the studio, which was perfect for two adults. There was also a pull out couch, which I think would have been tight for more than two small children or one adult. We had a nice view of Downtown Disney from our balcony. Staying in the Congress Park section, we had a five minute walk to the Downtown Disney Marketplace, which was great. The grounds were so peaceful for walking around after a busy day in the parks. We also enjoyed our meal at the Turf Club on site, followed by the fun boat ride to Downtown Disney's West Side. Could have easily walked, but the boat is such a nice perk. It was also great to have the small kitchen to put breakfast foods/snacks. We found the bus service to be very efficient and did not wait more than 10 minutes for a bus to go anywhere. On the night that we went to Bay Lake Tower to enjoy the Top of the World lounge, we took the five minute walk to get a direct bus from Downtown Disney. Also another great perk. We did not use the pools on this stay, but we noticed one in each section. All were very quiet, except the main pool where there were kids' activities/games and a fun looking slide. I would love to use the beautiful spa on a future trip.

Unique to this resort is that it is DVC, so no daily housekeeping unless you request it. Also, the room was very clean and comfortable, however every dresser/cabinet/kitchen door handle was oddly loose so the room could have used a bit of maintenance. There was a ceiling fan, which was wonderful, but the AC only turned on with motion, so by the middle of the night, the room was quite hot. I'm sure this is for efficiency, and I'm sure we could have taped over the sensor to fool the system.

Room Tip: Congress Park was very close to Downtown Disney. Not as close to the check-in desk area/main buildin...

Stayed for three nights. As Disney property, all parking is free in all parks. You are 5 minutes by boat from Downtown Disney so very convenient. The Epcot main parking is literally just 4 minutes by car. From there, the monorail gets you to Magic Kingdom. All other parks are best served by buses which come every 20 minutes. Very much enjoyed being out of the bustle of the other resorts, but still right next to the amusement parks. Didn't use the great looking pool or other available resort recreation on property. Mainly used it as a base and went to the parks or Downtown Disney.

Food on site was typical Disney. Options include one step above fast food as well as pool snack bar for burgers. Otherwise you have a $$$ restaurant on site. Lots of choices in Downtown Disney.

Our room was good. King with sofa and small refrigerator and microwave and tiny food prep sink. Main bath had only one sink, but this was outside of bath/toilet room. Very fast internet. Only downer was ice machine was broken and had to walk to the next building for ice.

We would definitely stay here again. Cost may be an issue next time as we got a last minute internet deal, so for us it was quite economical.

Room Tip: Ice machines are only on ground floors. Units facing Downtown Disney have a great view of the tethe...
