Just returned from a 2 week holiday to disney world staying at their saratoga springs resort and spa. Stayed in a newly refurbished studio in the paddock block which was plenty big enough for my family of 4 (2 adults and two girls aged 13 and 9). Everything at the hotel was fantastic from the moment we checked in until we left. All the staff were exceptionally polite, helpful and always had a smile no matter what time of day it was! Our studio was lovely and cleaned to an excellent standard by housekeeping every day. The pools were lovely and a first class lifeguard is on duty from morning til early evening - I felt that safety was top priority and had no worries about my 9 year old being in the pool. The quick service restaurants in the main hotel and by the pools were great and ideal to catch a quick snack before heading out to the parks. We also ate in the main restaurant which was beautiful! You must get a dining plan it is so worthwhile! The refillable resort mugs were fab too! The disney bus service was fantastic and all drivers were excellent. As or the parks - all were fantastic! There isn't a bad word I can say about our whole experience from the booking (which we did through disney.com) through to our returning home. There's so much to do and see. We had a couple of cold and wet days but the rest of the holiday was lovely and sunny and sunbathing weather. The parks were busy but not too busy - the longest time for a queue was 2 hours but that didnt affect us as staying in a resort hotel you can have fast passes throughout the day for the main rides, but this stand-by wait time was a one off and the majority of the time queues were under an hour. The fireworks were unbelievable and every night is treated like the first time they've been shown. All the characters have time to speak to you and have Pictures and sign autographs. It's well worth booking a few character meals so that you get that all important meet and greet with your favourite characters. This was surely the holiday of a lifetime that we will never forget. We would all strongly recommend our accommodation and I would return there tomorrow. I can't praise disney enough on how fantastic it is and how all cast members are excellent ambassadors of their company. Thank you all soooooooo much!

Room Tip: The paddock was brilliant - has own pool area with snack bar an close to 2 bus stops but yet quiet s...

My family and I loved our stay at Saratoga Springs and would definitely stay here again. We were in a 2 br villa with plenty of space and a full kitchen. Check in was a breeze, and the customer service was as expected of a Disney hotel. Our view was of Downtown Disney, and there was ferry access to it every 30 minutes or so. We had a great time--can't wait to go back!

This is a big beautiful sprawling resort with big villas that dont make you feel crowded, thats why we picked it out, but upon arrival to the room, 1 of the patio door locks was broken and we couldnt open the door, we called right away to report it, we were told over the phone it was "not" broken, it was set up that way for security reasons, and they would send maintenance to open it, we asked if we would need to call maintenance everytime we wanted to use the patio? while waiting for maintenace we found garbage from a previous guest under the kitchen sink, and a thick layer of dust in the room, we now called and asked for another room, we were told 30 minutes, they would call us. Terry showed up, looked at the patio door, told me it was broken, and he couldnt fix it, waited 45 minutes called again, was told 30 minutes more, finally got the call, our keys had been remotely changed to another room, why did that take so long? why didnt they do that when I told them the door was broken?
next room: LR TV no signal(they fixed it, but if you bumped the set it went in and out), clock in BR not set, lamps unplugged, 2 of 3 bulbs in kitchen burned out, brown water started coming out on day 2, they said just let it run, 90 minutes later it did clear up. we did have a great time, we stayed 6 days over Valentine week.

Great location for young and older adults. Fantastic access by boat to Downtown Disney and a huge range of entertainment and shopping therein. The restaurant was terrific for breakfast. Really good food, really fast. Cafeteria style though. Nothing fancy. There's a massive feature pool near the clubhouse that kids would love.

The bad news is two fold. Firstly, the resort is prohibitively large. You might have to walk a very long distance to get to the clubhouse. It all depends on your room location. Get online and find a map in advance so you know what you're getting into. I can see how room location at this resort could make or break the experience. Secondly, the rooms are dated and not in any way spectacular although they are clean and in good repair. There was some remodeling going on so maybe the rooms will see some upgrades before long.

Due to the the resorts proximity to the parks, you're going to spend a long time on buses or driving to get back and forth. The location is right across the lake from Downtown Disney which is about mid way between Epcot and the Magic Kingdom and somewhat closer to Hollywood Studios. It's a "B" location unless Downtown Disney is your intended primary destination.

The staff that welcomes you home is wonderful. The doorman won my sons heart with lots of stickers. The 2 bedroom villa was great for the 5 of use. We asked to be close to the bus stop and food court and they came through. The pools are the biggest plus. The paddock pool had a little water playground that my 3 year old loved. Great pool, great rooms with comfortable beds, beautiful grounds and a fantastic staff makes this a even more magical vacation. If you have the extra money, this is the place to stay with a large group.

This was our first Disney Vacation Club stay, and I am beyond thrilled! The hotel was amazing. A short walk to Downtown Disney, great amenities, beautiful pools, amazing staff! I loved every minute of our stay.

Room Tip: Congress Park is closest to Downtown Disney, but the Paddock was very nice and close to a pool, bar...

We ended up at the Saratoga when our rooms at another location had been overbooked. We were given a 1 bedroom suite which was great for our family of 4 (2 boys ages 3 and 4 1/2). Both the family room and bedroom had TVs, good kitchen, big bathroom with shower and tub.
Maid service was great and sometimes came twice a day. We stayed in an area called The Paddock-we loved how close we were to the pool (which has an amazing kiddie area and fun games throughout the afternoon) and the bus pick up.
Movies are held nightly by the pool as well as campfires for roasting marshmallows. Everyone who worked there was super nice and friendly. We loved it and would definitely stay again.
