“My New Favorite Vaction Club Spot”
Reviewed January 29, 2013

I have stayed at many DVC resorts and this by far is my favorite. It is clean, beautiful, the staff was freindly, lots of things for the kids and it's location next to Downtown Disney is a huge plus. I will return to this resort.

Room Tip: Congress PArk is the closer to Downtown Disney and the Springs is closer to the main building.

We have been DVC members since 2005 and this is our "Home" resort. This time we booked a two bedroom villa which was situated at The Paddocks as we were taking friends with us. The accommodation had two little problems, one of the closet doors was off the runner and the other was a light not working in the master bedroom. These were quickly rectified by the on-site maintenance team. The villa itself was very comfortable and had everything we needed and was ideally positioned for the bus stop for the free transportation to everything Disney! We were also very close to Downtown Disney and Lake Buena Vista Golf Club which were within walking distance, the golf course also runs through two other Disney properties. There was a main pool and also a smaller pool with a pool bar which served breakfast and lunch right on our door step. The only down side to the villa was the free Wi-Fi which I found to be both slow and unreliable.

Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa grounds are very lovely and the complex appears quite vast. As a DVC member this was our first stay in a studio villa at the Congress court section. Initially, it appeared typical but upon further view it was very very small,so much so there was only 6" between the bed and the wall where the closet was located. Basically, you had to lift any luggage over the bed if you needed to store it. Upon further investigation the only assessable closet was the utility closet and not for clothing. The sleeper sofa was attempted to be squeezed on the same wall as the bed and was the contributing factor as to why we couldn't get into our only closet. And now we come to the bedding, which was horrible and more appropriate for a cheap convertible couch. we also discovered that our patio door lock was broken and could not be locked and in fact was open upon arrival, maintenance was informed and responded immediately. One plus we did have a marvelous shower. We found it rather depressing to wake up each morning with a dirty laundry cart parked out front our door.Overall, this has taught us to inspect any potential offerings that the front desk may offer on future visits.

Room Tip: Congress Court complex is located closest to Downtown Disney if that's a consideration for you...

We loved this resort - it is spread out but so peaceful with well-maintained grounds and a nice main pool. The apartments are huge. We stayed in a one bedroom and had plenty of space. Housekeeping did a great job overall, especially if we left them a large tip.

The problems: we arrived late after a long haul flight and were all exhausted. It took us two hours to check in and get a bell hop to take us to our room, which was a ten minute walk from reception. Then we discovered that our room key did not work. Five phone calls, hours of waiting and lots of patience later, we were presented with room keys that worked on the next day and two fast passes valid for a day as compensation ...

We stayed in congress park which was an excellent location to walk to downtown disney for a meal or catch a bus to another resort. The springs looked like another good location - ask for rooms looking out on the lake.

We have a large family of six, so when we travel to Disney World, we stay in one of the resorts that offers 2 bedroom villas. When we booked our trip for the first week of December, we did not have many resorts to choose from. So, we ended up at Saratoga Springs which was disappointing because I assumed Saratoga Springs was mostly a vacation spot for senior citizens. And with 4 children, I had visions of my kids being loud and of me getting unhappy looks.

However, I was pleasantly surprised!!! The resort was wonderful. It is a quieter resort, but in a pleasant way. Everyone staying at the resort was very pleasant and everyone working at the resort was extremely accommodating. The pool was great for the kids and the building we were in was just a very short walk to Downtown Disney. That was a very nice convenience!!!

My husband played golf there with my niece and said the golf courses were beautiful.

I highly recommend Saratoga Springs. We will be happy to stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms in the Congress Park section of the resort are quiet, yet a very short walk to Downtown Disney...

Disney does it right! Newly refreshed rooms that are perfect for families. Amenities are plentiful and I love the suite layout experience. We traveled with 2 kids, 2 adults and my Dad. The ease of use in both location and space keeps us coming back.

This is the 3rd time we've stayed at Saratoga Springs. As a DVC member, rooms are usually available at short notice. We had a 1 bedroom suite in the commerce park area. We like that area since it's in walking distance to downtown disney. The room is clean and spacious and we love the washer/dryer is in the room. While we think all Disney properties are great, we feel this one is a little too big to enjoy all activities an amenities.
