“Enjoyable stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 22, 2013 via mobile

We took a winter break and stayed in Saratoga Springs. We had a nice and quite 2 bedroom unit. Great to have the extra space and a kitchen for breakfast. Everyone was friendly. They had great quick breakfast items for mornings to buy, if you we not cooking in. The location is great and close to the parks. Rooms were clean and spacious. Second time at this resort and will be back again.

We stayed here for Walt Disney World marathon weekend - just my husband and I. We have stayed here several times before, alone and with kids, as we are vacation club members.
The resort is huge. That is the only downside, that is is huge and a little out of the way.
The rooms are clean. The resort is meticulously maintained. The main pool area tends to get very crowded and you are stalking people leaving for chairs if you arrive anytime after noon. The pool area needs more chairs. It is very clean.
We had several drinks from the pool bar. The bartender was friendly and the drinks were good.
We had several items from the main store, and what I appreciated most was the marathoner's package for marathon morning. Great idea and we bought them.
Will return

We stayed at the Treehouse Villas in January with a party of 6. Staying at Disney is expensive, but the Treehouse Villas fit the bill for our large party (they sleep 9, but this includes a sleeper sofa. 3 separate bedrooms, so my kids had their own room with bunk beds. I loved the decor, which felt like a classier Fort Wilderness Lodge, and having a full kitchen meant we were able to make breakfast each day and pack a lunch, saving some $$ on food at the parks. The beds were comfortable, the hot water was practically instant (no waiting a long time for the water to heat up), the blackout drapes kept out all light at night and gave added privacy when needed. The outdoor seating looked great, but since our weather was cold and kind of rainy all weekend, we didn't get to enjoy it as we wanted to. If I just had to rate my experience with the room itself, it would be 5 stars all the way.
Unfortunately, the Treehouse Villas come with some sizable inconveniences. Nestled in Saratoga Springs, the resort itself feels neglected, and the cast members with whom we dealt were rude. The woman at check-in told us there was nowhere to buy milk and directed us to the nearest Wal-Mart. Lo and behold, we enter the food court and there's a dairy case with half gallon jugs of milk. So, apparently the Cast Members don't even know their own resort? Our biggest inconvenience was that on our first day, they were running a power check in the middle of the night (from 2-5am). Fine, okay, except that at 6am our power still was not back on, and my youngest woke up in the middle of the night scared because there was no nightlight. I called the Front Desk to report the outage, and was told they would contact Engineering to fix the problem. 7:30, still no power, and now we're trying to get ready for a day at the park. So much for a hot breakfast like we planned. Called Front Desk again - they hadn't reported my previous call to Engineering, but would do so now. Unbeknownst to me, my mom in the next room called at 8am to report the outage, and was told they had no record of a report. What?! 8:40, still no power. At least we had hot water, but there are no windows in the bathrooms. Have you ever tried to take a shower in the pitch dark? I mean, there was NO light whatsoever. I turned on my cell phone, but with the shower curtain it was still barely enough to see anything. Called again and was assured rather rudely that they were working on it and would get it fixed as soon as they could. No offer for compensation, nothing. Not sure when it was fixed, but it was back up when we returned from the parks at 10:30pm.
The other MAJOR setback with the Treehouses is transportation. I had read reviews on the bad buses prior to coming, so I knew to expect a wait. Nothing I read could have prepared me for this. We left our Villa at 9:05am, and I kid you not, we arrived at the Magic Kingdom at 11am. 2 HOURS!! We caught the bus from the Treehouse Villas to Saratoga Springs pretty quickly, then waited 45 minutes for a bus to the Magic Kingdom. There was a Cast Member at our bus stop with a headset, placed there to try to remedy the bad bus situation at Saratoga. I asked if this kind of wait was typical, and he replied that sadly, at Saratoga, it was, but that was why he was stationed there - they were trying to fix some of the kinks. Once we got our bus, we made 5 stops within Saratoga Springs itself, then proceeded to MK. Never again. On our return, we caught our bus almost immediately to Saratoga, and then immediately another bus came for the Treehouse. It still took 40-45 minutes with all the stops. So I'd say plan on nothing LESS than 1 hour bus travel time, and probably more. We drove every other day - couldn't bare to waste our precious Disney time waiting for a bus. However, driving comes with problems, too, because each treehouse only has one parking space. It sleeps 9, but you can only park 1 car there. Our 4 parking spaces were shared with 4 villas. Which is fine if everyone follows the rules and parks their additional cars on Saratoga property, but if even one person decides to park 2 (or more) cars, then you're left fighting for a parking space after a long day at the parks. Lucky for us, this only happened once, and by the time we had circled around looking for another spot, the extra car had left, so we got our spot back. I've heard some horror stories of those who weren't so lucky, though, and were left parking at Saratoga and then stuck grabbing the bus in the morning just to get to their car.

I think I might take a chance on the Treehouse Villas again in the future if they were running a special, so long as I plan on driving every day, which is kind of a pain since taking the Disney bus is one of the main perks to staying on property. But they're definitely not my first choice.

Room Tip: Request a room near transportation, as those further away can be quite a walk to the nearest bus sto...

We have been staying at Saratoga Springs almost annually for about 5 years now. It is always a tranquil place to return to after fun days at the Disney parks. The rooms are always light and airy, clean and comfortable. We love the views of the golf course and Treehouse Villas nearby. The kids enjoy coloring at the Artist's Palette. The convenience of the location is great too. Very close to Downtown Disney and the ride to the parks is not far either. Overall, we enjoy our stays here and can't wait for the next one!

We stayed here for the Disney marathon weekend and had a fabulous time. The kids loved it and the 1 bedroom was just enough space for all 4 of us. We had some trouble with housekeeping at the start but everyone else bent over backwards to make us happy. And in fairness, the housekeeping staff fixed all of the issues for us. Check your air-conditioning when you get in, ours was broken.

I just got back from a girl's trip over the weekend. We had a blast! We arrived on Thursday and the room wasn't ready yet. It was no problem because we made good use out of the pool and restaurant. We ate mostly in the Artist's Palette restaurant/ market. They had all meal options plus snacks. They also had wine, beer and limited grocery items.
There are buses available to all the parks and downtown Disney. Make sure to take notice of your bus stop name. There are many throughout the resort.
Service was great! The one girl we were with was a member so the bus to and from the airport was available along with luggage delivery. They printed our boarding passes and slid them under our door for our flights.
We stayed at the carousel in the two story condos. Absolutely beautiful! I have not one bad thing to say.
It was a long weekend of good food, great service and drinks and very happy staff!

We have stayed at many other Disney resorts but this one was our favorite. This was our first time staying at a DVC resort since becoming members. This resort is beautiful. It's very clean and the staff is wonderful. The resort is large and a bit confusing at times but employees were helpful. We swam at the main pool by the front desk. It was so nice and very large. My kids played games all day with staff members. We had a 2 bedroom villa and it was so spacious and nice. It had everything we needed. The Turf Club restaurant had a limited menu but food was really good. The Artists Palatte had a pretty good breakfast, nice marketplace and expansive gift shop. The boat ride to downtown Disney was awesome! We are excited to head back and stay in the Treehouse Villas. Welcome Home!!

Room Tip: The two bedroom villas are huge. We had a party of 8 and had plenty of space & sleeping room.
