“Lovely stay but a huge resort”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

This is a lovely hotel, everything you would expect From Disney.
Plus points : Beautiful 1 bed villa, very spacious, spotless, great housekeeping, even coffee for the machine and washing powder left as required. Lovely whirlpool bath, plenty of fresh towels, an over abundance of soap, shampoo and body wash.
Great to be a short walk from downtown Disney.
Negatives: The resort is so huge we felt it lost a bit of atmosphere, comparing against Port orleans Riversie where we stayed previously.
Food court - not much choice, short on seating. Restaraunt - food ok, but they took our late into the evening reservation without warning us that would mean they had limited choices! (didn't tell us what time they closed either)
Overall a good stay, but would explore other onsite hotels before staying here again at the price we paid

Room Tip: to be really close to downtown Disney, ask for a room in Congress Park. The springs area to be nea...

this is our third time as SSR in a one bed villa, i had asked to be lcoated in Congress Park with a DTD view.... i did the checkin on line so when we arrived it was a simple process - when we were given our keys we thought we recognised the room number and when we arrived we found we were in the same room we had the first time we stayed here... in Congress Park with DTD view!. the Room has been "soft" refurbished - which is a change of soft furnishings and re painted - all looked great... though the fridge looked a bit tired, with rust and marks so they hadnt replaced that... but it worked so guess thats the main thing. However not sure what they have done to the sofa bed in the living room ... it too had been replaced - but it was some itchy material and wasnt even comfortable to sit on. One night my hubby slept on it as I wasnt feeling too good, bit it was even worse trying to lay on it, so he ended up sleeping on the floor! it seemed to have hard metal ridges going across... so no way can it be comfortable.

When we arrived it was very quiet - we went to Magic Kingdom on Saturday morning.... we had the bus to ourselves... the park itself was pretty quiet too and we got onto every ride without any wait... (we went the weekend after the labor day) and then we had the bus to ourselves going back to SSR - next day we went to Epcot and the same happened there - we chatted so much to the drivers - getting tips and info - that was nice - it got busier as the week progressed though but it felt good for a while.

The weather wasnt too good, cloudy and it rained hard every day.. we didnt get to use the pool this visit - as coming from the caribbean now (rather than the UK) we are used to warm weather so it felt chilly and gloomy - so after 10 days we decided to leave and go home and have a few days staycation in Cayman!

Mousekeeping were good, had service everyday though it was hit or miss how many towels, bathroom tissue or washing powder you received each day.. and we were missing a "privacy" tag for the door so we often got woken up with a bang on the door.

SSR is still a favorite, has nice facilities, a few pools.. Congress park is our favorite section, nice quiet pool and a nice walk to DTD which we did a few times.... though that was an experience one night as some drunk was getting mouthy at Disney security and we had to wait with security whilst Disney sorted him out... in the end we were escorted back across the walkways though the golf course bask to SSR, which was nice of them... but it begs the question - why go to Disney to get drunk and start shouting at everyone... not the place to do that...

it was a nice stay, with a few issues outside Disneys control.... but in future we will go to Riverside... that our real favorite.... and we'll be going back there next spring.

We loved staying in Saratoga Springs, one of the more grown up hotels at DisneyWorld.

The rooms were beautiful (recently refurbished, I think) with great staff, a lovely shop and cafe, and, since we were in the Congress Park area, just a 10 minute walk from Downtown Disney.

Highly recommended for adults or family with slightly older kids.

Just an FYI, the wi-fi across the whole of DisneyWorld is a bit erratic and weak. Quite frustrating at times!

Room Tip: Congress Park is great, but it does mean you're the last stop on the bus!

We had a wonderful time at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort over the Labor Day weekend. We were looking so forward to getting away from Charlotte, NC during the DNC. Our favorite section to stay is Congress Park building #1 however they were redoing the parking so while we still stayed in Congress park it wasn't as close to Downtown Disney as bldg1. The staff were very helpful and friendly. A big shout out to management for trying to get us the best two bedroom villa in Congress Park as well as with our left over counter services on the dining plan.

We're currently on the last leg of our 10 day stay here at Saratoga Springs. The resort offers an online check-in, which is recommended for a speedy check-in at the front desk. The resort is approximately 65 acres surrounded by several fountains and lakes that are beautiful to look over. The resort is divided into several housing units, each just as nice as the other. There are two main pool areas that are open from 10-8, with lifeguards and day event staff to keep the children entertained. Our unit has a self-laundry service where the washers and dryers are free to use, All you pay for is detergent/fabric sheets. The main building has several restaurants (one table service and one quick service spot - for those on dining plans.)

The rooms are cozy, with adequate living area, kitchenette, vanity and shower. Cleaning service is prompt on a daily basis and ensures that you are supplied with fresh linens and towels. Transportation to and from the resort is by a very efficient bussing system that runs on a 15-20 minute cycle to whichever park you are going to for the day. This is the first Disney resort we have been to and the first impression is excellent. We lok forward to another trip!

We have just returned from a 3 week stay at the Saratoga Springs Resort and found it a perfect place for our Orlando holiday. From check in to check out everything was perfect.

When we checked in the staff were very friendly and altough we originally wanted to be in The Springs we had a great room location in The Grandstand. We were next to the quiet pool and a 2/3 minute walk to the main lobby, shop and restaurant.

We stayed in a studio and this was perfect for my wife and me and our 11 year old son. Lots of room to spread out and a handy kitchen area for a quick snack/breakfast. We had mousekeeping everyday with fresh towels, toilettries and cleaning. The beds were very comfy and the room spotlessly clean. Handy in-room safe, iron, coffee machine, fridge & microwave. Even a hoover if you wanted it.

We used the Artists Palate a couple of times and the food was always good and freshly prepared - the main pool was great for kids with walk-in entry and slide with nightly movies too. We didn't use the buses to get to the parks as we had a car but there did seem to be plenty of them around. The resort is large but we never had an issue getting around and walked to Downtown Disney and then caught the ferry back.

The resort is not overly themed to Mickey Mouse or Disney but has touches of it here and there - it relaxing and quiet and perfect to return to after a day at the parks. We loved our stay and would happily return

Room Tip: Ask for a room near to the Carriage House to be close to the main facilities
