“A wonderful stay”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

We loved staying in Saratoga Springs, one of the more grown up hotels at DisneyWorld.

The rooms were beautiful (recently refurbished, I think) with great staff, a lovely shop and cafe, and, since we were in the Congress Park area, just a 10 minute walk from Downtown Disney.

Highly recommended for adults or family with slightly older kids.

Just an FYI, the wi-fi across the whole of DisneyWorld is a bit erratic and weak. Quite frustrating at times!

Room Tip: Congress Park is great, but it does mean you're the last stop on the bus!

We had a wonderful time at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort over the Labor Day weekend. We were looking so forward to getting away from Charlotte, NC during the DNC. Our favorite section to stay is Congress Park building #1 however they were redoing the parking so while we still stayed in Congress park it wasn't as close to Downtown Disney as bldg1. The staff were very helpful and friendly. A big shout out to management for trying to get us the best two bedroom villa in Congress Park as well as with our left over counter services on the dining plan.

We're currently on the last leg of our 10 day stay here at Saratoga Springs. The resort offers an online check-in, which is recommended for a speedy check-in at the front desk. The resort is approximately 65 acres surrounded by several fountains and lakes that are beautiful to look over. The resort is divided into several housing units, each just as nice as the other. There are two main pool areas that are open from 10-8, with lifeguards and day event staff to keep the children entertained. Our unit has a self-laundry service where the washers and dryers are free to use, All you pay for is detergent/fabric sheets. The main building has several restaurants (one table service and one quick service spot - for those on dining plans.)

The rooms are cozy, with adequate living area, kitchenette, vanity and shower. Cleaning service is prompt on a daily basis and ensures that you are supplied with fresh linens and towels. Transportation to and from the resort is by a very efficient bussing system that runs on a 15-20 minute cycle to whichever park you are going to for the day. This is the first Disney resort we have been to and the first impression is excellent. We lok forward to another trip!

We have just returned from a 3 week stay at the Saratoga Springs Resort and found it a perfect place for our Orlando holiday. From check in to check out everything was perfect.

When we checked in the staff were very friendly and altough we originally wanted to be in The Springs we had a great room location in The Grandstand. We were next to the quiet pool and a 2/3 minute walk to the main lobby, shop and restaurant.

We stayed in a studio and this was perfect for my wife and me and our 11 year old son. Lots of room to spread out and a handy kitchen area for a quick snack/breakfast. We had mousekeeping everyday with fresh towels, toilettries and cleaning. The beds were very comfy and the room spotlessly clean. Handy in-room safe, iron, coffee machine, fridge & microwave. Even a hoover if you wanted it.

We used the Artists Palate a couple of times and the food was always good and freshly prepared - the main pool was great for kids with walk-in entry and slide with nightly movies too. We didn't use the buses to get to the parks as we had a car but there did seem to be plenty of them around. The resort is large but we never had an issue getting around and walked to Downtown Disney and then caught the ferry back.

The resort is not overly themed to Mickey Mouse or Disney but has touches of it here and there - it relaxing and quiet and perfect to return to after a day at the parks. We loved our stay and would happily return

Room Tip: Ask for a room near to the Carriage House to be close to the main facilities

We are DVC members with Saratoga Springs (SSR) as our home resort. My adult daughter and her friend wanted to head back to WDW with us (hubby included). The front lobby was empty when we walked up to the front desk to check in. The Cast Member was polite and quick with the check-in process. We stayed 8 nights on the property in a dedicated 2bed/2bath (a dedicated 2 bed/2bath has 2 queen beds in the second bedroom as oppose to 1 queen bed and a pullout). The unit was very clean. I planned on cooking a few meals in the condo, but I did notice that most of the pots were on the small size. There were a couple of sautee/frying pans, but I needed a 3 or 4 quart sauce pan. I eventually found a small stock pot over the fridge and used that most of the time.

I only went to the parks a couple of times and took the bus from the resort. We were lucky with the bus timing since we never waited more than 7 minutes for our bus (our daughter waited almost 35 minutes one time for a bus to EPCOT). Most of the time my husband and I played golf. For us, this is the perfect resort since there is a pro-shop on the property and a full 18 hole course (Lake Buena Vista Course). Our unit was a short 3 minute walk to the pro-shop (I requested a particular building in the Grandstand to be close the fitness center and pro-shop). We decided to try another Disney Golf course (Magnolia course) on this trip which was nice, but I still preferred the LBV course (more of a typical Country Club course).

We always have a car when we stay at SSR. If you don't want to rent a car, guest have the option of taking the Disney Magical Express from the airport. Also, I would request a unit in the Springs or Grandstand to be close to the fitness center, Carriage House (check-in lobby) and Artist Palette (restuarant).

It was another fantastic stay at Saratoga Springs. We'll be back next year!

This was our second visit to Saratoga Springs, and I can honestly say that we could find nothing to complain about. The rooms are very comfortable, pool areas were fantastic, and position amazing. The staff couldn't be more helpful, what ever you need. Downtown Disney is a 10 minute walk away, or a short boat or bus journey away. We will be back again in the future to this fantastic resort.

Room Tip: If you wish to go shopping walk to Downtown Disney and agree a price with a taxi driver for Premier...

Stayed at Saratoga Springs Disney August/September 2012 for 2 weeks in a 2 bed villa. This place is beautiful, rooms and grounds spotless teeming with beautiful birds. Level of service was superb, the staff are so polite and cater to your every whim. It was good to get away from the hype of Disney to the tranquil setting of this resort. Beautiful walks to Downtown Disney. Being super critical only slightly negative points were - Food at Artist's Pallette is average at best, shower in room not very powerful. Main pool is wonderful with 4 lifeguards on duty constantly monitoring activity. As previous reviews pointed out this is a large sprawling resort, we asked for and was allocated a room in the Springs block as this was beside the main buildings and pool, if you stay on the outskirts you have a long walk to the lobby, dining facilities etc. I have stayed at nice hotels all over the world and this resort was wonderful.
