This is the second year we've stayed at the Saratoga Springs resort and had another wonderful stay. In my last review from 2011, I mentioned that one of the few negatives about this property was that were starting to look a little tired on the interior. Well, this year we arrived and found that Disney had a "soft" refurbishment to units and that carpets, drapes, linens and pillows had been updated. Rooms were clean and fresh painted. As before the layout and location is perfect for a family who wants close to the action, but when away from the parks a more home experience. By staying at the villa properties, you have the ability to prepare meals in your room with a full kitchen.. 7 days of park food can be too much. Grounds are immaculate and beautifully maintained. As before, staff on Disney properites are attentive and always professional. We stayed in Congress Park section and could walk to Downtown Disney in about 10 minutes or less. As last year, grounds are quiet and we never heard any neighbors or noises. In fact, the times we walked around in the evening we found ourselves alone wondering where everyone was. Great property and location, we will return.

This was our third visit with our children (now aged 10 & 12) but our first stay on WDW property. As in previous stays, we booked our fly-drive direct with Virgin Holidays and booked our accomodation independently. The combination of villa, park tickets and the Disney Dining Plan represented good value, so we decided on the Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa.

We specifically requested a 1-Bedroom Villa close to Downtown Disney, so we could walk into this area for meals and evening entertainment and this was provided for us. As in most cases in Orlando, for villas in the resort read "condo" or "apartment". Our villa was spacious and comfortable and the maid service was excellent. I would agree that the decor will not be to everyone's taste and that the interiors are somewhat dark but at this is not an issue from my point of view, and most importantly the villas were clean, functional and safe. In between park visits, we relaxed at our own pool area, which was away from the main hotel so relatively quiet with plenty of sun loungers, a plentiful supply of fresh toilets and immaculate toilets. There were no lifeguards on duty at the pool during our stay, but I understand they are always on duty at the main pool area. We tried breakfast at the Artists Palette once and didn't go back even though breakfast was included on our dining plan! There was nothing wrong with the food as such, but it seemed to be prepared to a budget and we have experienced fantastic breakfasts elsewhere in Orlando. Most days, we preferred to eat a light breakfast in the villa before heading out for the day.

Being able to walk into Downtown Disney area was ideal, and access to all of the main routes, parks and shopping malls was easy by car. There are also regular Disney buses from a nearby bus stop if required as well as a boat ferry across to Downtown Disney. It goes without saying for anyone yet to visit Florida that all of the parks and entertainment are truly world class but to make the most of your stay, you shouldn't be afraid to plan ahead. This includes restaurants because many of the best book up in advance and you won't want to be waiting around for hours on end for a meal after a busy day at the parks. For any golfers out there, common sense dictates it can get very hot and having played 9 holes at 93f and 96% humidity I would strongly recommend booking an early morning tee time, or perhaps going later in the evening. There are several excellent courses nearby to suit golfers of all standards, and my son and I were made to feel very welcome by the staff at The Oak Trail.

There was some refurbishment work going on at the resort, but this did not cause a major issue and overall, the convenience, security and value-for-money represented by this WDW package deal worked brilliantly for us and I would recommend this resort wholeheartedly. In summary, I am converted and when we go back to Orlando we will definately look to stay with Disney again.

We just became DVC members and Saratoga Springs was our first experience staying on the Disney property. The staff was very friendly and easy check-in. I had requested to be near the Disney bus transportation and in Congress Park section - 2 bedroom villa. All request were granted (sprinkled with pixey dust!) I parked my car in the free lot the entire visit and we used the Disney transportation for entire 5-day trip, visiting 4 Disney parks. Interesting to meet the bus drivers and experience the various music they played (family with teens) - all were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very spacious and updated. I enjoyed having a full kitchen and even washer/dryer in my room for convenience. We saved by making a trip to Publix and eating some meals in our villa. The main pool area was nice with plenty of seating and movie nights by the pool were fun. Lots to offer all ages. Loved that we could walk a short distance to Downtown Disney! We would stay here again!

My husband and I and our two girls 9 and 8 stayed at the Springs from 24th May to 7th June. We had an amazing holiday. It is a large resort and we stayed in the Springs area so we were really close to pool, restaurant, bus and boat to the parks/downtown disney.

Food - first class in the Turf Grill Club.
Accomodation - immaculate, cleaned daily, lots of clean towels excellent shower.
Pool - beautifully clean, warm, slides safe and enjoyable. Well surpervised by lifeguards.
Pool Bar - excellent.
Activities for children - well planned, organised and supervised include games, competitions around the pool and also community hall (next to Pool) had all kinds of crafts and indoor activiites. Staff were truely wonderful with the children.
Staff team - could not be more welcoming or helpful.

Disney really do know how to take care of their guests.

our first trip here was 6 years ago and it was still in the process of building. it was reccomended to us by our travel agent who had just stayed there and she asured us she had stayed in many places all over the world and this plae is top class. boy was she right. if you need a suite like we do (dad snores lol) this place has the absolute best bang for your buck. we have returned 3 times since that initil trip and i cant imagine staying anywhere else. if at all possible stay in CONGRESS PARK. it faces the lake and you can walk to downtown disney from your room so if it is too crowded waiting for your bus at the stop you can also hop on one at DD. i feel like im at home when i pass though the doors to the GORGEOUS lobby and love love love love love x 1000 the food at the artists pallette restaurant, there is no quick service better! every single employee is fantastic! we are from kentucky and the theme is saratoga race track so horses are everywhere and we feel right at home! if you have the opportunity on your meal plan eat at the turf club, ery expensive if not on meal plan but one of the best strip steaks ever cooked. MULTIPLE pools for every age, its the largest disney property in size. the only downside is that there are only a handful of rooms close to the lobby so i=you have to make a very long trek to fil your mugs. but that is our only issue. busses run prety regular, usually have no problem except with water park busses those are few and far between. there is also boat transportation to three downtown disney locations, the treehouse villas, and port orleans. cannot say enough good things about this resort! classy enough to make you feel special but not so ritzy that you feel like a slob after youve sweated in the park all day lol. if you are traveling with a big group they have two and three bedroom villas spend a little extra money and YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT! :D

Room Tip: congress park is the best! you can walk to downtown disney and not too terribly far from lobby.
