Having read various reviews over the last twelve months in anticipation of our family (me, hubby and five yr old daughter) holiday I was slightly concerned at what I would experience in the rooms. This was our first ever trip to Disneyworld - We stayed in a one bedroom villa - it was very clean, spacious and the pullout sofa bed was loved by our daughter...our only issue was that this did not allow us to go on the balcony at night as we didn't want to wake her up. I would have rated the hotel as excellent but the food choices at the paddock pool and the springs were limited for my daughter...she doesn't like pizza/ peanut butter or hamburgers...she isn't a picky eater, just enjoys the odd vegetable, salad with some type of meat/fish and potatoes. We were located in the Paddock area which was great as the times we went to the nearest pool, she could play safely in the splash area while me and the hubby related. We walked to downtown disney on several evenings..only ten minutes...about the same time as the bus given it stopped off at typhoon lagoon first. Several posts indicated the largeness of the site...it was large - but not too big to walk around...even with a five year old (who doesn't like walking - but managed at least ten km per day whilst at the parks) The buses were great. At most we waited twenty minutes for a bus to a specific park, but generally the wait was ten minutes tops. Very efficient. Staff were all extremely courteous and helpful when our transfer to the airport voucher was mislaid - all sorted and they were happy to answer any questions we had. Check in was swift....Jerry in the top hat and tails was a firm favourite with our daughter - stickers galore. Hoping to save up and go back - it was definitely worth getting a bit more space with the one bedroomed villla. I would say the pictures don't do the resort justice...it was clean, modern and well kept and set in a beautiful location.

Room Tip: Paddock rooms very close to paddock pool which has a great area for kids to splash around without yo...

I am a DVC member and this is my favorite resort in WDW. I love the online check-in feature allowing you to request the room location. All of our requests were met. We were in a one bedroom near the check in building directly across from a bus stop. Room and grounds were very clean and updated. Another Great DVC stay!!

We've just returned from a family holiday to Walt Disney World, Florida. After much deliberation we plumped for the Saratoga Springs Resort, and what a choice we made. We were in The Springs area and were closest to the main pool, restaurant and reception area, which was good because the resort was vast and quite spread out. Our Two bed villa was extremely spacious and comfortable and the maid service was excellent. In between park visits, which were easily accessible on the efficient bus service, we relaxed at the lovely pool area whilst the grandkids ,8 & 9, had a great time in the pool, on the slide and joining in the fun provided by the friendly staff. The lifeguards were always on guard and everyone was really friendly. We also liked the fact we could actually walk to the Downtown Disney area or take a short boat ride which was really enjoyable. We went several times and the atmosphere is fab, lots of street music and family entertainment. Obviously, all the parks are fantastic and the firework shows are out of this world. We were particularly impressed by the holographics on Cinderellas Castle, although the kids loved the Fantasmic show at Hollywood Studios. All our prebooked meals were spot on,the organisation is superb, and you never feel uneasy asking anything, cos everyone is so helpful and polite. We got a lot of advice from fellow bus travellers, generally from different parts of USA, and we just annot fault the place. So congratulations and thank you from all of us. I'm sure we'll be back! I might just add that our last visit was not on a WDW Resort but we found staying 'on site ' to be a much better experience by far, a car is not needed, airport transport is provided from Orlando, the dining plan is excellent, and I think it actually worked out a far more cost efficient way to experience the magic of Disney.

Room Tip: Ask for The Springs for a central location.

Large resort. Nice to walk through natural setting. If you are unable to walk use your car or Disney Bus. Rooms are clean and spacious. All pools are great depending on your age and size of party. Grounds are immaculate. Bed mattress a bit stiff for my liking. Artist Pallete food is okay as it is priced for smaller budgets. Breakfasts are very good. Lunch sandwiches are very good. My wife and I usually share lunch. The Turf Club always provides an excellent evening meal as well as lunch.

Access to Downtown Disney with its many restaurants is close to walk from the Congress Park area. There is also a bus or boat that takes you to to this area.

We had a studio in the Congress area which was great for the 2 of us but would have been rather small for 3 ,the furnishings were rather dated and well worn .The balcony overlooked Disney village so that was good . We found the boat service over to Disney village very good and didn't have to wait long , and from Congress you could even walk to the village as it was quite close.
Our family stayed in The Paddocks in a lovely 2 bedroom apartment which was also within walking distance of Disney village .There was a lovely pool area in the Paddocks with slides for all ages .
We all had a lovely meal in the Surf and Turf restaurant on the balcony overlooking the lake , but the Artist'.s Palette was very disappointing . The one thing that spoilt our holiday was the refurbishment that was being carried out in the Congress buildings, it would have been better if we had been told about the refurbishment when we had booked, this would have given us the choice of going to a different resort , When we checked in the lady failed to inform us that on the last week of our holiday the work would be going on right above us , we paid a lot of money to stay at this resort so for us not to be told was really bad .

Room Tip: The Paddocks and Congress if you want to walk to Disney Village>

The first time at Saratoga Resort was fantastic. Everything was more than I ever dreamed. We stayed in a Grand Villa. The rooms are huge, the kitchen is fantastic, tv in every room WOW. I am a huge kid at heart and the Disney resort filled my every dream. The grandkids love going every trip. We see and do something new every time. The staff is wonderful and very helpful with anything you may need. Going again soon, can't wait.

We took our two young (below 2) children and stayed in the Paddock section. Clean rooms, it is great to have a couch with pullout bed since it provides more space. Having a kitchenette was great with two young ones so you can clean bottles and store milk, etc. great balcony as well. Our room was located right by new Paddock pool which made going to pool quick and they have a quick service restaurant to refill your mugs with coffee and soda. Opens early so it's easy to grab breakfast. Lobby area is nice and has lots of food options and a great bar with pool table.
