“Great Princess interaction!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2013

We were bummed on our last trip to not be able to get a reservation for Cinderella's Royal Table (they book up fast)! While speaking to a Disney cast member on the phone she suggested we try Akershus. I'm so glad we did! We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast! The food was good and there was nice variety. My children loved being able to parade around the restaurant with the Princesses. We do not like waiting hours in a line to have pictures with a princess in the park so for us, this was perfect. Overall, great interaction, good food and cheaper than CRT! One tip: book before Epcot opens so you can be in the park before rope drop!

“Good for Princess Characters, Disney type food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

I like german/nordic food but this was merely OK. I did not find the place as organized or clean as other Disney Restaurants and it showed. We were seated around a corner from the main room and we missed the big character gathering. Thankfully some of them came around individually to the back tables. Considering the only reason to eat there seems to be to see characters it would be nice if they got that right.

“Breakfast with the Princesses”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

We have done the Princess meal in Cinderella's castle and I enjoyed this one much better. It was less rushed and more relaxed. The breakfast was very good and all you can eat. The hot items were brought to the table family style. The other items are buffet style. The princesses come to each table and visit with you and they have a princess parade with the little ones. If you are on the dining plan this meal only uses one credit, which is another perk and includes pictures with one of the princesses. Great experience!

“Made a "Princess-in-training's" day!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

To celebrate my daughter's 4th birthday, we booked a lunch at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall and it was a great, albeit expensive, experience. 5 adults and 2 children for lunch - nearly $290 including gratuity! It did include a beautiful photo with Belle and each princess was delightful when visiting. Our 2 year old son collected some princess kisses, which we all thought was hilarious. Food was great, atmosphere was great, but we will do character dining somewhere else next time for different characters and hopefully less expensive!

“#1 Princess Meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2013

We discovered Akershus last year for the first time. We dined here on 9/12/12 this year for dinner and once again found dining here to be wonderful and unique experience. The buffet has so many items to choose from, this could truly be your entire meal if you’re not careful. Each of our entrees was of ample portion and prepared to perfection. The bonus here was the interaction one on one with the princess. Trust me after standing in line to see them scattered around the park, Akershus is the way to go. Seeing the princess this way was much more relaxed and an all around better experience. Akershus has become our one stop to see the princess!
