We have been to Fogo De Chao numerous times and this was our first visit to a Texas de Brazil.
Our breakdown between the two:
Service - Fogo wins hands down. Texas was very inconsistent. Drinks weren't refilled, meats were slow to arrive, and the servers were hard to hunt down at times.
Salad Bar - A push. Fogo seems a tad fresher but Texas had a great Bisque and some other sides.
Sides - Texas. Fogo has some pretty bad mashed potatoes and the Texas garlic mashers were excellent. Others were similar between the two.
Meat - Tie. Texas had more flavor on a few meats but it seemed more from salt. Both offer similar meats. Texas had more pork but most of it was dry (as was the chicken). Beef was a little better at Texas than Fogo.
Dessert - Fogo is the big winner. Texas desserts were just off.
Bonus to Fogo on their lime drinks.
So Fogo is a 5 star and Texas a 4 star.
