“Consistently Good”
Reviewed January 20, 2013

We have been eating at Viet Garden since 1996 and have never had a bad experience with both Thai and Vietnamese food. They use fresh ingredients and serve very good sized portions. We have tried other Vietnamese restaurants in the "little Viet Nam" area around Mills and Colonial and none measure up to Viet Garden. The service is fast and good and the atmosphere is plain but nice. A few times, we have gone as part of a large group and service was still good. Street parking is at a premium, but there is a large parking lot in back. We particularly like the grilled pork and fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce. Great value for the money.

“Good Viet and Thai food”
Reviewed December 6, 2012

I have been going to Viet Garden now for several years and it has never disappointed me. The food is always good and service efficient. I like their spring rolls and soups. The pineapple fried rice is alwo very good. It has all the typical Viet dishes and also a page of Thai foods for those who like Thai better then Viet food. It is located on SR 50 near Mills which is in the Vie section of town. There are Viet grocery stores close by if you wish to try to make some of the dishes yourself.

“Good place to get Viet and Thai”
Reviewed December 3, 2012

Don't miss these Thai favorites: Thai tea, Tom Kah Kai, Seafood Ho Mok, Panang Curry, and Matsaman Curry. Pass on the Pad Thai, overcooked noodles

Or these Viet favorites: garden rolls (peanut sauce I'd have on a shoe), Grilled Combo BUN.(Rice Vermicelli), Hai San ( Mixed seafood), and the soft shell crabs. Pass on the Clear egg noodle soups, not a taste for the american palate.

Great servers, seem stand-offish, but that's their culture. Just ask them a question about the food, they become so warm.

“Best Viet. Restaurant I have been too!”
Reviewed October 15, 2012 via mobile

What a place. Whenever I am in Orlando this is the first place that I head too. Try the Soft-shell Crab appetizer. Wow! I have always found good service. The restaurant is attractive. Try this place if you like Vietnamese.

“Very good food, clean no-frills atmosphere, good service.”
Reviewed October 15, 2012

Not the spiciest Thai food around, but very tasty. This is an older building but kept clean and well run. Our server made sure we felt at home and even went out of his way to bring "training chopsticks" for our seven year old granddaughter to try.

About the only thing I'd ding them on was their choice of television shows on the big screen. Anything having to do with animals attacking other animals and/or humans is really not the best choice of viewing for oh, I don't know...people eating?

The one thing we all agreed on, was that any menu item with the word "YUM" in it, truly is yummy. Tom Yum soup was great, as was the Panang Curry ( I had the beef version, everyone else had the chicken). Also, the server bragged about the peanut sauce. He was right!

A prior review complained about the prices? At $8.95 for entrees and three bucks for a couple of fresh spring rolls, what more can you truly want without speaking into a drive-through speaker? All in all, a very good deal.
