“A Thai Mainstay in Orlando”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2010

This place has been around for many years and consistently delivers consistent food. My favorite is the Onion Chicken. . . but everything I've ever ordered here has been good. Service is friendly and nice. Not too fancy. . . and doesn't take itself too seriously.

“Great if you know what to order!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 20, 2010

Any self respecting foodie will try to get some insight into what the little local spots are known for ... I often see poor ratings given when, in fact, the reviewer simply didnt do their homework.

You will not go wrong here if you have their scored and fried (no breading) snapper specialty (this is a unique dish that when you see it you will be impressed) or the Nam Sad which was more than wonderful ... calling it a ground pork salad marinated in lime juice will never do it justice -- you have to try it. Tum yum soup is also very tasty. Classics like Pad Thai was good as well but you can get that pretty much anywhere.

“OK place”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 13, 2009

I like this restaurant for the atmosphere. It is funky and the staff is friendly. The food was good but better can be had in central Florida. If you are not looking for gourmet food this is worth a visit.
I do not understand many reviews that claim "it is not authenic" talking about Thai and Mexican usually. Many of these restaurants are families cooking food they grew up on where they came from. These are the ones I look for. As long as they don't charge gourmet prices for "home cooking" I am happy. I don't care what you get in New York and L.A.

“Tasty Thai, but there are better options in the area.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 5, 2009

I hadn't gone to Thai House for years but returned last night with family for dinner. The outside looks like it's seen better days. The main dining room is small but attractive and includes a bar. The place was not busy (Monday night) and it's a little close. I got the feeling the staff was staring at us waiting for us to need something. (I guess it's better than being ignored.) I'm a nut for Asian food and have been going out for a lot of it lately, and I can tell you that there's better Thai in Orlando. I had Beef Pad Thai which was okay but had hardly any vegetables. One of my companions got the Super Noodle dish which was also disappointing. Asian food should be short on protein and long on veggies and starch. They forgot the long part.
