Love this little restaurant. It’s been in Winter Park forever but still maintains charm, character and delightful food. We’ve had bridal luncheons here, birthday parties, brunches, weekday lunches, a couple dinners, and pick up orders to-go; we haven’t been disappointed. I especially like the atrium-like dining room in the back as well as the alcove that is quite cozy. The establishment is attentive to large groups, providing good service and value. Most recently the staff was especially responsive and helpful to some specific requests I made. Thanks, Park Plaza, for making several of our special lunches and dinners even more special. Oh, if you haven’t had their curry chicken salad, try it and don’t forget to slather it with the mango chutney that accompanies it. Yum!

An old Winter Park eatery that has had its ups and downs, The new management ,manager and chef are heading back to the old glory days. Food and service were excellent and the wine list has great wines at all price level.Try the excellent mussel appetizer. Fish of the day was wonderful and we ate our fill and took some home.
Welcome back PPG.

I haven't been to this restaurant in 15 years and I can't figure out why. Great service & wonderful food. I only give it 4 stars because it looks old and tired. The opaque roof/ceiling adds lots of light but the collection of leaves & tree branches is unattractive. in fairness to this restaurant, I understand that they are getting ready to do a makeover. Now back to the food. The mussels in white wine sauce with chorizo & chick peas was outstanding. The rest of the meal was just as good. Their wine selection is extensive. Save room for desert. We loved the peanut butter torte.

My bride and I had another couple joins us for a short weekend trip to Winter Park. The hotel where we had reservations (see The Alfond Inn review) had a sold out dining room so we mutually agreed to return to the Park Plaza Gardens for dinner. Asking in advance for a quiet table so we could enjoy talking with each other, the hostess quickly seated us in an brick alcove with only one other table of people in the space. The dinner was superb and the service top notch. The menu varies to offer fresh choices and seasonal specialties. Never a disappointment.
Be sure and enter through the small hotel lobby to set the mood for the evening but watch the step down as you go through the side door into the restaurant. After dinner, exit through the bar and get a feel for the outdoor camaraderie of Park Avenue in the evening.

The food was good, especially the truffle fries, and the people watching is the best in the city. There is a back room that is quite reserved and away from the street and excitement, but we enjoyed watching the world go by on Park Avenue. Great place for a midday meal and a glass of wine or beer.
