We have dined in many great restaurants. We have dined at Victoria and Albert's several times over the last 19 years. It is always good. This was great! The food presentation was as wonderful as the taste. The wine pairing was superb (we ordered a cast of the Pinot Noir the next day). The wait staff was also superb (I miss calling them Victoria and Albert (as in the early days) but times change - and both were male so it would have been strange anyway).
We do like multi-course dinners and wine pairing and have enjoyed them at several high-end restaurants (including New Orleans). This was the best and (even) memorable. Expensive (but, heck, the kids are grown and out of the house). We could not justify the extra cost of the caviar or Kobe beef (plus my wife would not let me - perhaps next time).
On a practical note, if you need to park at the Hotel, valet parking is free (so to speak). Be sure to validate your ticket with the hostess (also very nice) as you leave.
