The Maya Grill is in the Coronado Springs Resort... Since this was our mini Anniversary vacation I really wanted to eat there. It was wonderful. The Manager Scott seated us at a table near the window... We could look out and see the lake... Our Server, Michelle, was so helpful and very pleasant. I had a combination shrimp & steak fajitas, my Husband had Chimichanga platter.. chicken and beef... It was so good. We were very glad that we had the Disney Dining Plan..

It is difficult to find a good restaurant with good food that it decently priced in the Disney Resorts. Set within the Coronado Springs,Maya Grill is a good choice for a "sit down" meal with or without the kids. TexMex isat the center of the menu with a full range of very good Mexican dishes (burritos, tacos, fajitas, etc.). But there are "North of the Border" dishes also that will appeal to those with more conventional tastes. The grilled chicken with asparagus and mashed potatoes is very tasty with sauces and herbs that delight the palate. The fajitas are nicely prepared with an ample set of sides to build the true Mexican "sandwich" right on your plate. The prices are pretty high but not astronomical and the portions are generous.-- you will feel that you have eaten a full meal. A decent beer and wine seletion on the menu allows for some choice to accompany dinner. The dessert menu offers a limited selecton. Good wait staff who are both knowledgeable and attentive. Worth a visit for a relaxed meal! Other guests have discovered Maya so make reservations well in advance.

The Maya Grill is located in the Coronado hotel on the Disney World property. We made reservations a couple of days before we arrived. Very easy to do. When we arrived, I'm not sure why we needed the reservations because the restaurant was almost empty. This scared us a little but went ahead with the seating. I am SO glad we did. Our waiter was very attentive but not intrusive. I had the chicken chimichanga for $18.95 and my husband had the combo which was a chicken chimichanga and a beef one. When they arrived mine was HUGE. It had a warm, tangy cheese sauce melting over the top. It was fried to a perfect golden brown. It was served with rice, refried beans and polenta. All of which was very good. I normally don't like rice, but it was very good. The star of the plate was the chimichanga. It was fully loaded with shredded chicken, onions and peppers. Right thru the middle of all this chicken was a tunnel of melted cheese. WOW!!! SO GOOD!

My husbands was about half the size of mine (still big) but he had 2. The beef and chicken both were very delicious, according to him. His was $24, I think. We both agreed we were very happy with the Maya Grill and plan on returning next year.

Chips and salsa was brought before dinner. There were 2 a green one and a red one. We both agreed we preferred the green one. The chips were fresh, thin and crisp.

The ambiance of the restaurant is very romantic. Its mildly dark with "torches" placed around giving it a very warm feel. Its family friendly but it is also for couples looking for a special night out. I look forward to our return trip to the Maya Grill.

After a long day at the water park, we decided to try the Maya Grill after we heard that Chef Dave launched a new menu two weeks ago. Boy are we glad that we did! The food prepared by Chef Dave and just as importantly to note, the service provided by our waiter Boris were both exceptional.. What you would expect from Disney with special touches like Boris teaching the kids how to fold napkain swans. Still sitting at the table but felt the need to get a review posted. Make sure you save room for some fried ice cream!

Server kind, food nothing special but very high priced. Enormous portion though atmosphere pretty. The female hostess has control issues and as we were celebrating, dressed for dinner (all of us) tried to seat us in the corner next to a large loud family in tee shirts jeans and bathing suits, really? Come on attention to detail, won't return here as it is on the been there done that list. We did go and sit in another area as we wanted our dinner to be special, our server made it just that.
