I would have given this the highest review, except for the service! While our server was sweet enough, she was incredibly slow - our lunch was 2 1/2 hours!!!! At least the food was delicious! The tomato mozzarella appetizer was perfect!

“Fantasmic dinner package”
Reviewed July 28, 2013

We chose Mama Melrose's as part of the Fantasmic dinner package at Hollywood Studios, which includes a central seating area for the show and a three course meal. Overall, we agreed that it was worth the extra cost for a quality dinner and reserved seating for this amazing presentation (our favorite among Disney fireworks shows). Recommend the antipasto appetizer and steak with pasta entree. The desert sampler was disappointing. The traditional Italian restaurant decor was charming. Our server was friendly, and you could even hear the cheerful chefs calling out orders.

“Authentic, relaxing treat of Disney's Hollywood Studios”
Reviewed July 28, 2013

We have eaten here many times - the menu is seasonal, so it makes it fun each time we eat here.

The first thing you will notice as you walk in is the SMELL of the wood fired grill cooking - it is amazing.

The menu is diverse, and this is a nice restaurant but very kid friendly. They have flatbread pizzas, calamari, heavy pasta dishes to light salads.

They have a diverse drink list and their Sangria's are very good.

We did the "package" deal to get a seat later in the day for Fantasmic. We had two appetizers, two entrees and dessert and non alcoholic beverage for a certain price. We did it to try to see if the seating at Fantasmic was worth it - and we have to say, during busy season it really is - so if you are going in June, July = this really is the way to go - we actually sat front and center for the show - and we have seen this show at many different angles, and this was one of the best.

Again - the food is great, there is vegetarian options - but if you are gluten intolerant - this is a much harder restaurant to find more than one or two options - it is Italian afterall!

“Best pasta in DisneyWorld Parks”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

We've been to Mama Melrose at Hollywood Studios quite a few times. They will accommodate seating for large groups...10 of us ate at one table. My favorite food in the world is spaghetti, so I've tried all the spaghetti Disney World has to offer. The spaghetti and meatballs at Mama Melrose is out of this world. Large portions for lunch so you can even split your meal. The penne alla vodka and chicken alla parmigiana are both excellent dishes.
My son has peanut, tree nut, coconut and egg allergies and Mama Melrose is very allergy friendly. I ordered him the spaghetti with pomodoro sauce and he ate every bit of it!
For dessert, if you are a cupcake fan, you cannot leave without getting the "Spaghetti and meatballs" cupcake. By far one of the freshest and best tasting cupcakes in all of Disney...make your tummy happy and eat at Mama Melrose! I even ordered an extra cupcake and they will put it in a to-go container for you:)

“Good Food and Excellent Service”
Reviewed July 14, 2013

Im sure experiences can differ here from day to day, but on this day it was pretty good. Be mindful that this in the Hollywood Studios, so there will be a crowd. The good thing about this is that it is in the back corner of the park, so unless you really know its there it can be nice.
the funny thing is that its right next to Pizza Planet, so if the kids are going crazy you know who will win that argument.
The food is very good, and you do get good portions. We had excellent service when we went. I wish I could remember the mans name that served us. He spoke to our son as much as he did us which made him feel good.
We had this in conjuction with the Fantasmic Show experience. We paid about $35 a person for this which isn't bad considering you get priority seating for the nights entertainment.
I think that the food is very good for where you are and what you can expect.
Make reservations if possible.
